Hey, a Mother 3 stage. There's very few of these, from what I've noticed.

Minecraft House
NOTE: THIS STAGE IS CUSTOMIZABLE!

Another minecraft stage, because I'm apparently the only one who cares enough to make them.

Shadows were applied using my python program.

You can put your own skin on that minecraft character! The video below will show you how!

Grasstown/Bushlands (Cave Story)
The second area from Cave Story, Grasstown (Also known as bushlands) join's Brawl's selection!

This stage has some pretty nice gameplay. The walls make for interecting rebounds, and the long, curved hill messes with projectiles (just as it does in Cave Story)

Of course, It's an OBJ import, with the model made from scratch by me.

Stage Builder Mod -- Zero Gravity Bubbles

My second stage builder mod!

Using the same technique as the Gravity Chamber stage, any stage builder stage you make can have zero-gravity bubbles! Inside of these bubbles, characters can stand anywhere.

They look awesome, too!

To place one, simply flip (C in game) the piece shown in the first preview pic.

The Gravity Chamber
A gameplay-based, gimmicky, fun stage.
The gimmick is that you can stand literally anywhere.
Jump to ascend, crouch to descend.
And, just for kicks, the floors are slippery!

I like how inspired the Doodle Destination idea was. It sets it apart from a lot of other stages that feel just random. Definitely a keeper!

Discworld. That is, that is the whole world, on the elephants, on the turtle. Only one graphical bug is left to smash

Paper Mario 64 - Toad Town (the main plaza with merlon's house and the post office). In the process of making textures to use..... also will require a lot of vertex editing, don't expect it soon, especially with school going on.

A few zack and wiki imports (I know, it's a puzzle game. but these work really well as stages. They just need tweaked collisions.....

Bump.

Starting progress on Toad town (image of work done so far compared to a Paper Mario 64 screenshot in the spoiler):

I'm almost done the inn place. Most of my work on this was texturing and vertexing the model into a hexagon.

Well, it's a start. 1 of 3 buildings.

So my plan is that the first version will have all of the buildings and stuff (I'm only recreating the back half (the half that will be seen during the fight)). The second version will add some static toads, and the third version (if I choose to do a third version) will animate those toads.

3 - A question:
Would you guys like a capture the flag type stage? I think it might be possible over Skyworld, but a score system is impossible, so you'd have to keep track yourself. It would take some work, though, so..... should I try or no?

Would you guys like a capture the flag type stage? I think it might be possible over Skyworld, but a score system is impossible, so you'd have to keep track yourself. It would take some work, though, so..... should I try or no?

How exactly would that work? Sounds interesting to say the least.

Basically, there's a flat plain with 2 castles on it, facing each other. At the top of these castles are two flags. You have to hit these flags to "Get" them (hopefully only one hit will be needed, if I can modify that) then run back to your own castle, hit a switch on the bottom floor that has had a barrier around it lifted when you get the flag, and that's how one team gets a point. A large "Team X got a point" sign will appear at the middle line when this happens.

That sounds really neat in my opinion. There aren't any stages like that or even similar to it and I think it would be really unique and awesome.

Another idea; would making a soccer field interest you? Making a point system would be hard for that specifically, but if someone made a stage that looked like a soccer field with goals and stuff, then that would be really awesome.

Zelda OoT - Fairy Fountain
The Fairy Fountain (Not Great Fairy Fountain) from OoT!
Done as a request.
Includes animated fairies and water.
There are 4 versions (check the file names):

Normal6pillar (as shown in the picture)
Normal4pillar (with the front 2 pillars removed for better camera)
NoFairies6pillar (No fairies, all 6 pillars)
NoFairies4pillar (No fairies, front 2 pillars removed)

Yeah, the turtle would even be hell to get from the original game, as I'd have to get the model and convert it, while the conversion has a 90% failure rate. And also I don't have 3DS.

Well ForOrForError you could really make a good remake of Great Bay and make it look like Great Bay from melee and i detected alot of likeness of Melee's Great Bay Stage in it so your on the right track.

I'll texture edit it more, but I won't be doing vertex editing of it, I'll just put the trees on his back. Remember, if you don't like it, Mewtwo2000 will be making his own version eventually.

Yeah, I'm gonna add him. So here's my list:

Things to do:
Add turtle
Add tingle
Giants in BG
Moon animation in BG
Make owl 3D (Low priority, but should be done before release)
Add shadows

Tingle has different looks to where he would need to be vertexed and retextured? Wow.

I don't know why so many people hated this stage in Melee. I loved it and I love Majora's Mask, so I fully support this!

Am actally playing Majora's Mask on my wii when posting this with my DSI XL but it's true tingle needs to be vortex and retextured so he doesn't look like wind wakers version but people hating the stage i would have guess since not everyone have played Majora's Mask i haven't even known about the game if it wasn't for melee then i got the legend of zelda game for gamecube with majora's mask on it and others games of legend of zelda on it.

Well it's not like everyone hated the stage... it was just ... *recalls memories of bad fox/falco/peach players* Oh yeah that's what it was! Fox and Falco can shoot then illusion through to the other side from the bottom, and basically stall the game. Peach can float through as well I think. It was annoying when you had friends that liked to camp lol.

Can't wait for those surprise DK upthrows to death lol.

It's looking good so far, you got the basic shape down. Textures need some work though, it doesn't have the same detail and "grit" as the original; looks kind of cartoony right now.

Also  I feel the orb builiding in the center should be extended upward some and the shore in the background should be moved farther back. But you're heading in the right direction.

Great Bay looking great so far man. This makes me miss Majora's Mask so much.

I do agree, make the house thing darker and the orb moved to the middle more. Easy stuff that I know, you know how to edit.

Yeah, temple and Great Bay were my favorites, too.
Also, since I'm waiting for Friday for Mewtwo to be able to get Wii access to fix the turtle (damn that cursed reptile), I can start on a new project.

Too bad. Minecraft is an awesome game in my opinion, because it's slowpaced, yet challenging (in survival mode), and very simple in the mechanics department. All of that adds to the quality of the sandbox world - which is infinite, if I may remind you.

It's just a game where graphics don't play as big of a part as imagination xD.
I've seen some pretty amazing things people made in Minecraft, I have no idea how long it took those people lol. All it would take is one person to delete blocks and build giant pe---- all over the place to ruin everyone's hard work.

Not impressive, I was just looking through my common3 and decided link's bomb was close enough. So, I need:
1. Pots on the top platform
2. The lab's door
3. Tingle
Before the V1 release (the turtle will be remodeled, too, If GW sends it to me soonish), then background animations in V2.

Of course, I've got exams next week, and one essay this week, so I won't be able to work on the stage much.

Oh, also: the AI for computer players causes them to sometimes commit suicide when the turtle is receding into the water... This is quite funny, so I won't fix it (I don't even know how to, it seems it's more of an AI problem) XD

Okay, does anyone know how the hell tingle's balloon works? He has the texture and bones (AND animations), but I can't see the balloon in the BB preview.

Here's something you should know:
I. Can. Not. Vertex.
And he'll be really small, anyway. No need to do anything beyond a few texture fixes.

Lastly, the balloon model doesn't appear in the brres a far as I can tell.

The castle will be in the background. The fight may be on ground in front of it, or floating blocks (maybe including those timed disappearing/reappearing blocks). I'm not quite sure yet. I'm also including Wily's capsule somehow.

Yes, but every other model I've imported from Z+W has been fine.
In fact, you've used one.
What's more, two BRAWL models are affected by the darkness, while some Z+W imporst there aren't (the satellite dish, the bones)
I am confused by this.

Have you tried using different lightings? Some lightings affect the stage more than characters, they're all different.

Try using about 3 different ones, and if you see a difference, then there is your answer.

If not, it will be figured out soon enough. Wily's Castle will happen!

Well, that was easy.
I replaced the scene date with that of the SSE stage I took the model from.
:D
But there's a small problem, with fog.
Basically, the castle and mountain are displayed at full fogginess - this is because their large scale requires the models to be moved back a LOT MORE to get to the desired place.
In this case, it's slightly more than 1000 back :P
I PMed Mewtwo - He hasn't been online since I have, due to it being late at night.

See man, I knew it was a Scene Data problem lol you should always experiment with different things, to see changes in result.
 
Why don't you make the fog texture transparent, or like you said, move the Z axis by -1000 which will push it back, 1000 will push it forward, closer to you.

Mewtwo is in Spain, about 6 hours ahead of us, so right now he is probably sleeping.

He got tons of messages asking for help, so just be patient with him ;)

Great Bay is finally here!
NOTE:
It doesn't have tingle, the background is unanimated, and model constraints make many things (Especially the BG) look different from melee, slightly.

I think Mewtwo2000 makes stages work on lots of .rel files by putting all his models in MiscData[100] alongside the StgPosition (which defines death zones, spawn points, etc.) and adding a bunch of empty ModelDatas and other files. I've never done it myself.

Is is possible to use animations to move the camera? because I have a stage idea (again, using gravity, but not zero-grav this time) that would need it (and no, moving the models in a certain way isn't going to work, as I'll have the models moving already, and they must appear still to the camera.....)

and for gameplay stuff, u could make plattforms move across the stage, no single static plattform, so players NEED to be survivng and fighting at the same time ^^

I'm currently preparing a stage builder mod that will let you place zero-gravity bubbles.
It should be out - tonight, or somewhere in the next 2 days.

My second stage builder mod!

Using the same technique as the Gravity Chamber stage, any stage builder stage you make can have zero-gravity bubbles! Inside of these bubbles, characters can stand anywhere.

They look awesome, too!

To place one, simply flip (C in game) the piece shown in the first preview pic.

Well, I have no idea what values need fixing.
And the names are cryptic. I can only find the general type of each prefix, as all the files are named:
AAXX
or
AXXX

with A being a letter and X being a number

Well, yes (If you mean just moving the models into a place where they look decent), but it's honestly worth the effort.
BTW, 9 out of 10 models you get will be completely useless (either incomplete with awkward cut out segments, or just some 2D crap, or something completely invisible.)

You know, the dark helm looks kinda dumb. Fire looks much better, and actually matches the symbol orochi is facing. Besides, the fire head is sort of the leader.

Would it be possible to have portals in the portal stage? Like ever once in a while they will open and you will be able to walk through one and come out the other. I would imagine it would not be so different than M2k's Mushroom Kingdom level from SSB64.

it is possible to ake warp collisions, i made one accidentally in a collision i made, though i have no idea how...

it was for a temple stage i planned, and whenever u walked over a certain part, u would reapear on another place (everytime the same place of course)

I might be, like, a bit late to this, dude, but... I'd like to criticize three things about your Orochi's Lair stage.

First off, Orochi's head. I mean, I'm, like, aware of the fact, that you can't, import the entire dude, but I think it would be better if his head, came out of the pit. It just looks, like, plain weird to have his head coming from above.

Second, the sake pads. It just gets, like, really annoying during fights, when they, act like walls.

Third, the pit. It just lacks, like, grabbable ledges. This, not that big of a problem for me, but it gets really annoying when, like, fighting CPUs, dude.

So... yeah. These are the things that, like, really bug me about that stage, dude. Could you, please try to fix these when you, like, find the time?

Trying to be funny and saying "like" over 20 times or more, making fun of a user who I'm not gonna name, because he uses the word "like" a lot is being a troll.

I might be, like, a bit late to this, dude, but... I'd like to, like criticize three things about your Orochi's Lair stage.

First off, Orochi's head. I mean, I'm, like, aware of the fact, that you can't, like, import the entire dude, but I think it would be better if his head, like, came out of the pit. It just looks, like, plain weird to have his head coming from, above.

Second, the sake pads. It just gets, like, really annoying during fights, when they, like, act like walls.

Third, the pit. It just lacks, like, grabbable ledges. This, like, not that big of a problem for me, but it gets really annoying when, like, fighting CPUs, dude.

So... yeah. These are the things that, like, really bug me about that stage, dude. Could you, like, please try to fix these when you, like, find the time?
Well, likes aside, it seems like this would be good feedback... And technically, he's talking like a character from Okamiden... Although, Cal? I think you're overdoing the "like"s.

Yeah that's the problem when using imports. I ran into those problems when making the DBZ stages with DSX8.

You apologizing as that character it's what makes this funny. I was informed that you were making fun of a user here, but then I was informed again that you were acting like a character from Okami.

To me it was easier to believe that you were making fun of someone, knowing how you were before, rather than a video game character. I took it as trolling because it didn't really seem constructive really, rather more like a joke. How is anyone supposed to take you seriously?

Anyway, apology accept. I guess "I should like, maybe like, apologize like, too."

Other than the background tiles Bushlands looks awesome! It'll probably be like the Temple fight club from hell to play on, but it's looking great!

Got some textures from Dolphin's texture dumping thing.
You have to skew some of them 90 degrees, then piece it into a rectangle....
Anyway, I'm doing Some Like it Red Hot City Looked it up, It's called Rhino Town

Update: I finally got sketchup to export to a good file (using three programs and some lengthy tricks).

If you've seen the Mario Kart Wii hacking thread, he said he'd try doing a stage with it.

Well, it works :P

You're putting a custom model into a Mario Kart Wii SZS and then extracting it for Brawl use. Neat eh? Seems like something good to use until BlackJax perfects DAE importing.

Oh, I know it works. Apparently, OBJ importing has been perfected for a while now.

A certain someone is working on getting a certain stage from a certain game into Brawl via OBJ.

I was just curious.

you should make the stairs, in collisions, just a ramp. It would make navigating the stage easier. If you wanted, you could do a series of ramps and flat platforms; at the corner of each stair step turn it into a ramp, but leave the rest flat/as is.

Well, I didn't know you could already import stages now. Sure, it needs MKWii but still, that's some neat achievement.

Actually, I just got around to fixing Grasstown up today.

Speaking of which...
Grasstown/Bushlands (Cave Story)
The second area from Cave Story, Grasstown (Also known as bushlands) join's Brawl's selection!

This stage has some pretty nice gameplay. The walls make for interecting rebounds, and the long, curved hill messes with projectiles (just as it does in Cave Story)

Of course, It's an OBJ import, with the model made from scratch by me.

I don't see the problem with the water, aside from it being opaque it looks accurate. I wonder how it would look if, instead of having the "block" of water, you textured the walls of the pool with the water texture and just had an intangible splashing collision where the surface would be. Lightning would probably make it look crappy, but it could be a convincing way of giving the water the illusion of transparency *shrug*

(For anyone who's wondering - I'm using windows movie maker to record from the dazzle, and it only picks up video. Thus, I have to plug the audio into the computer directly. I'm using a cable to combine the two audio cables, and it comes out loud and distorted. Help!)

download pinnacle studio 12 ultimate... thats what i use

Oof. Sorry this took so long.

Anyway, the collab fell through due to some PM bugs, which have now been fixed. I textured the stage on my own for the Secret Santa thing as a gift to Beyond, 'cause I really needed some motivation for this one:

Yeah, I put the back wall too close to the foreground. I'm gonna change the wall around. Also, I think I'm gonna put some spec maps on the floor, as well. Give it a nice shine effect.
