can't get pixelcraft's brawl texture of slippy to work

tried pairing pixelcraft's .pac with demon_of_elru's .pcs, and it was still the original texture

Linking to the exact models is probably the best way to get some help. All you have to do is click the "Link" (from LoZ) icon, and then copy/paste the URL for each.
