Help / Dolphin|Super Smash Blast FE No costumes
March 14, 2015, 07:24:13 PM
Hello everyone. I was able to get the Super Smash Blast Frozen edition working and running on Dolphin. However when I try and use an alternate costume such as Spider-man, robotnik or others I am just shown the default costumes. Everything else appears to work fine besides the random crashing sometimes. I installed the hack by injecting the files into a 2GB vitual sd card using winimage. Then I put the sd.raw file into the wii folder in mydocuments. I didn't tamper with the install folder at all and even looked to see if all the costume files are in the right place and they are. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Just checked the fighter folder and it shows all the pcs and pac files. So I tried injecting another sd.raw with the download folder still got the same result. Uses default costume.

Would using WiiScrubber work better on the iso then using a virtual sd.raw and injecting the files into there?

All of them are in the download, as far as I know.
Because they are all needed to load hacked textures, models, etc.
Well that's the problem...Some of the costumes aren't working like Eggman at least for me. I do have a Wii but my Brawl copy is scratched to hell and doesn't work anymore. So I'm running this on Dolphin.

The PCS file is the costume file.
PAC files are only needed when trying to use the costumes in 1-Player modes.

But you need the PCS file in order to make the skin show up.

All characters have PCS files. Even the former hackers include them in their downloads.
Shouldn't have all PCS files been put in with the download of Frozen then?

Do you have the PCS file, too?
The Pac File doesn't change the skin.
The PCS one does.

You can have the PCS file on and it will show the skin.
But Zelda ans Shiek need both PCS and PAC, or will freeze during transformation.
And for some reason, when you don't have the Pac file, when you're in Boss mode or Event Mode, it shows the original texture.
No I don't have the PCS file. I don't even know what that is... Looked it up. And I sort of understand what it is now. Where can I get the files for the characters?

I'm trying to get this mod to work on Dolphin. The first attempt I used easy sd card maker to create a 2GB sd.raw and injected the entire downloaded file. Then I opened gecko in dolphin and launched the game. It came up fine but when I got to the CSS 90% of the characters were that new robot character and it eventually ended up freezing. I opened it a couple more time and was able to play as Shadow against a computer twice then it crashed.

I tried again but only inserted "Apps" "codes" "private"   and the gameconfig.txt. This time I launched gecko and launched the game. I got a "too many codes error"  and it launched regular brawl. Anything I could have done wrong please help point it out. That would be great! Thanks!

Edit: I tried the first method again and it works now. However when I try to play as alternate skin characters such as the egg man the default model shows up. Is that normal?

I'm sorry to be that guy but I'm trying to install this using an iso through Dolphin emulator. Could anyone help me or point me in the right direction of how to install this please!  :kdance:

I created a virtual 2GB sd.raw and injected the nebulon's 2GB/dophin version files into the raw file. I booted up Dolphin and launched Gecko and the default SSBB game launched. I installed Project M just fine so I'm not sure what could be the problem.

P.S. I just started modding SSBB so I'm pretty new at this but I have experience installing mods for plenty of other games. This is new territory for me.
