Ok it obviously isn't dead, but how active is it nowadays? Im guessing back then it was THE site to go to for Brawl mods. But how much has the community shrunk since the release of Smash 4 till now? Besides Gamebanana, are there any other notable Brawl modding sites? I would like to get back to Brawl modding but to me it seems Brawl Vault isn't as active anymore, at least from the surface.

Help / Game crashes after selecting stage. PM + Brawl EX
January 17, 2020, 07:28:26 AM
I tried installing a custom Link character
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=215066
I got all the CSS stuff working but when I select a stage, the game crashes. Or it just keeps loading forever. I keep thinking it has to do with the .rel file, I've tried a few different .rel files but I don't know if there was much of a difference between them.
I am using KingJigglyPuff's PM + Brawl EX build as a base, I dunno if the mod is somehow incompatible with Puff's build, I wouldn't think so.

I decided to start over and it worked, mostly. His CSS appeared along with his moveset. Just no sound and wrong BP, I think it had something to do with the .rel file.

Help / Trying to add a custom character to PMEX. So close

After hours of reading around the web and asking people on Discord I've almost managed to get an extra character slot, i'm using Brawl EX + Project M. I downloaded " http://fav.me/da1kh3z " a Naruto mod.
I've placed all the mod files where they are supposed to go, but nothing showed up on the char select menu. Apparently I was supposed to edit the CSSRoster.dat in order to add another slot. so I added 0x59, which is the number the mod had.
But it turned out like this: https://imgur.com/a/a7irgfU
I have NO idea why it reads Dark Samus, even if I name it different. Also the box with the red P1 circle, its grey, I dunno why its like that too. And worst of all when I get into a match after 3, 2, 1, GO it crashes, also all the character's icons are missing, like the stock icon.
What do I do? :wario:
