I believe that this is caused by using riivolution and the phantom wings file patch code. I think if you load the game through Gecko Launcher you should be fine. I was having this same problem yesterday. If you want to fix it, you need to get the codes you had before, or you could edit the code and just take the phantom wings file patch code out.

So I've been lurking on these forums off and on for a couple years. I've never really quite gotten the hang of coding, etc. So I don't know to edit the Character Selection screen pics, etc. I really want to know how to do this. I need the programs I need to make the codes. I also need to know what program is the best. I have the brawl disc, I have riivolution, and I have a riivolution channel on my wii.

In addition, I have brawl on a hard drive if that's easier.

I ask this because I recently downloaded http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=20291.0 and replaced my code files, etc. Now my game won't boot. I need to start over, and figured while I was starting over, why not ask for help to get in the right direction. Thanks in advance for you help!
Post Merge: June 06, 2012, 12:06:32 PMJust an update. after doing a lot of digging I realized the reason that riivolution wouldn't launch my expansion files and whatnot, was because the codes I was using had the Phantom Wings File Expansion code. Now what I need is just the txt to the codes that will run my game and allow access to the expansion files (stages / music / etc) without the phantom wings files. I believe if I try gecko launcher with the code I'm given it will work, but I would like the txt so I could make my own gct, because I prefer using riivolution
