What do I need to open it (like i needed winrar to get the actual hacks)

Do i need to name the sound files a specific way like i need to name the textures (i.e.) FitDiddy00.rar if so what would it be
(PS I know by now I sound like a complete idiot from asking all this stuff)

Ok. I got the sound effects for when he wins it plays warioware music and still says diddy kongs name with his name on the picture of himself I have all the sound though as well as pictures.

I now have waluigi a playable character and I would like his sound and his picture instead of diddy's. So my question is where in the files do i put png's, brres, and brstm. Thanks

Do i need a specific channel? And what is the codes needed?

i downloaded winrar and my friend showed me how to get the files on my sd card. We went to the wii and there was still dedede instead of waluigi. What do I need to fix this?

When I went to the hack for Waluigi over king dedede, it led me to this http://www.mediafire.com/?kqvjatjmq7g44mh. I clicked download and waited for it to open. It opened up adobe reader and said this-

"Adobe Reader could not open up 'Dedede-1.rar because it is either not a supported file or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an e-mail attachment and wasn't properly decoded."

If you know why this happened what I can do to solve it, please send me a message.

P.S. I don't have an SD card is it fine to use a USB?

Also do I need any specific channels on the wii like homebrew channel?
