1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Re: Brawl 4 All *Plan on downloading the newest build. Vote! Kindle our flames!* on: June 21, 2015, 02:19:43 PM
Is this to be launched through Gecko OS, or somehow the same way Project M is launched, through the level creation screen? Sorry, its been ages since Ive messed with brawl hacking.
Im asking because for whatever reason, Gecko OS isnt showing up in my Homebrew Channel and nothing I do seems to change that. I wanna make sure thats what I need to do before I pursue it further. Project M launching method didnt work either. Im using the 4GB build on a Lexar 4GB SDHC.
2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Custom Music Stopped Working on: October 25, 2012, 10:27:46 PM
I use Gecko OS and attempted to switch over to Riivolution, so I backed up the contents of my sd card. I ran into a problem so posted a help thread (seperate to this one) and decided to switch back to what was on my sd card in the meantime. Everything on my sd card is now exactly as it was before I started this process, however, my custom music wont play although the files are still there. It just plays the default music.
Any ideas?
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Riivolution XML Help on: October 25, 2012, 09:52:14 PM
Im trying to switch over from Gecko OS to Riivolution because I want to add sound effects. I understand from the stickied complete n00b hacking guide that I can keep my /private folder the same if I download and use an XML that it has provided. However, Ive never used a XML, nor do I understand it, and the page has no download, but just a few strings of programming code. How do I download this?
4  Help & Tutorials / Help / How to Change a Hack to a New Character on: October 21, 2012, 07:35:55 PM
Hey, I was wondering how I could change a hack thats already replacing someone's bones to someone else. This is the hack that I'm specifically interested in:
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Moderated=1&Reported=All&Wifi=0&Name=*tifa+over*&ByUser=*&Credit=*&Info=*&Thumb1=*&Type=**&TypeAlt=*
This hack replaces King Dedede with a Tifa PSA. I want this PSA of Tifa, but I also want to keep King Dedede. I hate Yoshi with a burning passion so I would rather this replace him.
How would I go about this?
5  Help & Tutorials / Help / Anyone know the Font Used for the Names? on: October 14, 2012, 03:15:58 PM
I want to replace some names, but any premade ones I find are some weird angsty graffiti stuff. I just want it to match the original names.
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Will custom Music work with Gecko OS? on: October 08, 2012, 07:31:47 PM
I was reading through the noobie guide and noticed this about music:
"Music only works with File Patch code versions over 3.1 (and Riivolution of course)."
Does this mean that it works for File Patch code versions over 3.1 AND Riivolution, or that it only works for Riivolution version 3.1? Sorry, after reading it I really have no idea what File Patch code its referring to.
7  Help & Tutorials / Help / Unspecified Character To Be Replaced on: October 08, 2012, 06:44:47 PM
Im new to Brawl hacking so bear with me.

If a character with a unique model and a unique moveset is in the vault and it doesnt say who to replace it with, can it just be placed over anyone?
8  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Can Different Color Schemes Have Different Movesets? on: October 08, 2012, 06:28:47 PM
Ahh, but unique models can be applied to different color schemes? Theyl just have to fit the same rig as the original model or it wont make sense?
9  Help & Tutorials / Help / Can Different Color Schemes Have Different Movesets? on: October 08, 2012, 06:18:23 PM
First off, Im completely new to Brawl hacking. In fact, I dont have either a Wii or Brawl yet, but theyre both on their way in the mail and I want to know as much about hacking as I can before they get here so I dont spend a ton of time pissing around.

From what I understand, you can replace a color scheme of a character with a completely new 3d model (I.E. Green Pikachu replaced with Elekid). Im also aware that a character's moveset can be replaced (I.E. Replacing Pikachu's moveset with a unique Elekid moveset). However, I was wondering if each color scheme can have its own moveset. Below is an example:

Regular Pikachu stays his own model and keeps moveset
Green Pikachu is replaced with Elekid model and has unique Elekid moveset
Blue Pikachu is replaced with Goku model and has unique Goku moveset
Red Pikachu is replaced with Chain Chomp model and has unique Chain Chomp moveset

Would this be possible? Or is there only one moveset per character that applies to all color schemes?
