Hey, I'm using Smash Stack on my Wii U to use texture/stage/etc hacks and it works fine, but occasionally during the middle of a match, the screen will glitch slightly, like a purple or dark green, translucent bar and a few smaller squares of the same color and transparency will appear on the left or right side of the screen and the game will lose a lot of its frame-rate. Not only this, but all visual effects (like fire) and character projectiles and other misc. weapons (like Link's bow and arrows, boomerang, and bombs), and even items become invisible.
This glitch may occur at any time as far as I can tell, and it lasts for varying lengths of time (the longest its ever lasted was around 30 seconds I think). After it stops, the game returns almost completely to normal, except the frame-rate is now double its normal rate. This usually lasts for however long the slowness lasted.
I have been unable to identify the source of the problem. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, have you been able to get around it or know of a possible solution? It's not the end of the world, this glitch, but as the title says, it's irritating when it DOES happen XP
Hey, I've used an SD card to hack Brawl, initializing the hack codes and all that by going to the stage builder (It's been a while, so I don't remember if there's a certain term for this method of hacking). My question is, will this still work on the Wii U? I haven't yet cuz I've read that Wii games for whatever reason won't play on the Wii after they've been used on the Wii U, and too afraid to test it out, regrettably XP
If anyone's been able to confirm this works, would you mind letting me know? Thanks in advance C:
I downloaded the red and black CSS by ASF1nk and downloaded the necessary GCT from his topic ( http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=6201.0 ) I put it in pfmenu2 and when I tried to go to the character select screen, it made that irritating buzz and froze.
Could someone help explain why this happens?
EDIT: I forgot to say, I also tried using "Controller boxes (nearly) surrounded by character boxes CSS" by DarkHorse and got the same result
