1  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: MotionEtc files won't load on: December 12, 2015, 11:48:27 PM
Winimage is a shareware and wouldn't last forever it seems.
It's working now, i managed to find where the virtual SD card is created !

All files are loaded... ack, not all of them ! I have a lot of mods for Charizard that i have to test and work on, even textures are not loaded !
It seems to work well with every other character.

Edit : None of the files for Yoshi are loaded as well.

Thanks ! That's what i'm doing now. It should be much easier and faster.
Though i have a problem. I followed a tutorial and i'm blocked at some step.
I generated a 2Gb virtual SD card, downloaded something to allow the RAW file to be editable but...

"1-Right-click on sd.raw file then click "Mount as ImDisk Virtual Disk" from the context menu."
> OK
"2-Check box Removable media then hit "OK". The predefined drive letter and everything else will do just fine."
> OK
"The virtual SD card will now appear as "Removable Disk" in which the native Explorer window can read and write in there."
> NOPE, i still have a RAW file which can't be read.

I feel i'm close to have this done... there is that last thing getting in my way !
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / MotionEtc files won't load on: December 12, 2015, 10:48:31 AM
I've been starting to use Dolphin recently, which is much more convenient for me to test my mods without needing to always turn on/off my wii and plugging in/out my SD card.
Everything has been going well so far, cheat codes are working, textures are replaced, attack files are working HOWEVER MotionEtc files are not read at all, and that, for any character !
I use WiiScrubber to replace files directly into the brawl ISO. It says that the files are successfully replaced, i can see that it works for textures, attack files too, but MotionEtc files are ignored, the default ones are loaded from... nowhere ? Or the replacement fails despite what WiiScrubber says.

Could someone help me with that, please ?

I never said that :L
But it happened. I tried that unfinished Ikarus and it does not load that file... in fact it does not display anything.
Edit : the quote failed. It should have shown first a message from me saying "so we won't be able to modify fighter.pac"

I need to get a PAL file (resources > data partition PAL) but Mediafire says "Folder not found".
Also it is still working with the NTSC one.

Ouch... so we won't be able to modify fighter.pac, the file i've been waiting for ages to be modified... Each attempt with a hex editor mess the file up :s
I just hope you will release the first version of Ikarus before stopping working on your brawl programs.
You've done a very nice job so far.

Yeah... how is it going ?
Since you told me that would be able to modify Fighter.pac, i can't wait for it !
Oh wait... will the first release be able to do so ?
9  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Where are actions called from? on: September 04, 2013, 10:57:06 PM
Fighter.pac contains every common actions for each characters. Modifying this file would allow to make awesome stuff.
Sadly for now editing this file can be done by a hex editor only, but you can see what's inside this file with brawlbox. Also it seems that file patch codes don't allow this file to be loaded by wii. I tried a modified one and it didn't load in game.
So for now waiting is  the only option. There is a program in development called Ikarus that would allow this file to be modified. I dunno when it would be done.
A lot of people have waited for ages (me included) to get access to this file.

Ikarus looks sick, man. Can't wait till it's ready. I love PSA, but I have a feeling I'm gonna change over and fast. Cheesy
This.
One more reason to get it ! I can't wait for it.

Okay, thanks for you answer !

Edit :
It does not work. Specials are messed up one more time...
12  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: [Official] Brawlbox Development: v0.68d Updated on: August 18, 2013, 05:16:07 AM
Hey Blackjax. Can you tell me if one of all your versions of brawlbox allows editing .pac files of characters :
-Without messing specials (like it happens to Bowser for example)
-With still allowing them to be modified after by PSA.
I want to add some characters a new action and i'm always blocked by one of these two things (or both).
Thanks.

I don't remember if it was here or on your Ikarus topic... but i have read somewhere that you planned to allow Fighter.pac to be modified.
But the fact is, i can't find this note anymore.
Now the question is : did you give up ? If so, why ?
This is something i'm waiting for ages... and i'm sure i'm not the only one.
