1  Help & Tutorials / Help / Hacks stopped workig on: December 30, 2013, 02:19:43 AM
My SD card converter decided to break on my recently.
I just grabbed another one to copy the files from the mini-SD card,
onto the SD card I was using for something else.

However, even though I had hidden files to show, and copied every single file from the card to the new one, I can load my apps and such, however the custom files won't load any longer.
Exact same programs (using WiiFlow because the USB loader).

Is there a SPECIFIC Allocation Unit setting the card must be formatted to?
Because my old card was FAT says FAT file system, but I don't know the settings beyond that.
I also did have trouble with some of my old codes freezing before my old card broke, but that file still didn't work even at all. I switched to a generic code set, and still no results.

I'm probably overlooking something, but I thought a straight copy would work...
Thanks for your time! Hopefully I can get an answer soon! Been wanting to play for days now.
2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Modern Vertexing on: August 12, 2012, 01:06:18 AM
Hi, I've spent a few minutes looking, albeit I'm a bit tired, but i couldn't find anything on it:
Can someone please point me to a link of how to vertex with the current tools available here?

Now your resources only show blender and brawlbox, but I don't know what to export as what extension.
If anyone could help me there, or even better, point me in the direction of a tutorial that's more recent than the DasDonkey ones that I've been finding, I'd appreciate it!
3  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / New Anime Brawl Hack on: July 02, 2012, 10:09:00 PM
I've been contemplating the later 2 of these three for a long while now...

Inuyasha, I added as a possibility, because thinking about it, I know some good moves I could use on him.
His moves would be a blend of the anime, and his moves on the PS1 fighting game.

The Vash hack (a la Trigun) would have to be over a character with a relatively large file size, as he would have an extra object, or larger primary model. This Vash hack would feature him after the series, and he would be using Wolfwood's Cross for some of his attacks. The attacks are already 85% plotted, all I really need to figure out is the balance of which gun does which (fire rates, range, damage, exc).

Beyond the Grave, since his anime is a bit less popular than Trigun, would require a little more explanation.
He is from an anime called GunGrave, which is written by the same person who wrote Trigun.
The anime is every bit as good as Trigun, but Trigun was featured on Adult Swim, so I presume that's why the larger fan base.

In any event, Grave (without giving spoilers) is a human who is strong enough honestly, to blow Vash to kingdom come (minus the Angel Arm). With his twin handguns, and armed coffin on his back, it would be easy enough to create a moveset based off of the anime, and the second PS2 Game "GunGrave: Overdose".

This one would, however, be the most difficult hack to pull off, due to the physics of the coffin animations, and numerous projectile attacks.

---
On that note, I only know a substandard amount of making a PSA: I'd need a volunteer for whatever seems like popular vote: so if any of you would want to help out, please post. I can do the animations, and may be willing to learn how to work on models more... My main thing about it though, would be designing the attacks and coordinating the animations, it's all I really have have time for right now, as I have numerous site updates I still must accomplish.

If I don't have 1 or 2 people to help with the PSAs and such for the highest vote, but sources for the second, I'd likely choose that one, just to get one done sooner.
4  Help & Tutorials / Help / Entry Data on: February 01, 2012, 02:59:16 PM
I know there is a code to disable entry data altogether, but I was wondering if there was a way to disable entry data for specific characters?

Example:  Anyone REL ported over Diddy will have a barrel on them the whole match.
Is there a code that works SPECIFICALLY for Diddy?
What would happen if I removed FitDiddyEntry.pac?

If anyone knows, please let me know Smiley
5  Help & Tutorials / Help / Intro Music on: January 26, 2012, 02:00:17 PM
I'm trying to find what BRSTM file ID is used for the song that plays at the opening movie...

I saw a couple sites listed "X01 - Super Smash Bros. Brawl Main Theme", but that's NOT it, because I even replaced that file ON the ISO, and there's no change...

Ideas please?
6  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Advanced Stage Expansion music editing on: January 25, 2012, 12:05:28 PM
I've been frying my brain trying to figure out a couple of things with the stage expander, and music with it.

1) How to add multiple songs to a level

Quote
I saw the a post:
Stage Dependent Song Loader
28708ceb 000000SS
4A000000 90180F06
14000076 FF00MMMM
E0000000 80008000
SS is the stage. MMMM is the song ID. One song per stage.

Or (if you want more than one song for a custom stage):
Stage-Track Dependant Song Loader [Oshtoby]
28708ceb 000000SS
28708d2e 0000XXXX
4A000000 90180F06
14000076 FF00YYYY
E0000000 80008000
XXXX is the song you want to replace. YYYY is the new song.

Now, while I have the listings for SS and YYYY, I dont know WHAT to put for XXXX, because I don't know what BRSTM that will be pulling to play.

2)Can the song titles for the replaced songs be edited?
7  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Advanced Stage Expansion on: January 23, 2012, 09:13:06 AM
I have seen several Stage hacking expansions, and eventually lost track of them as they were coming out, lol.

I was wondering if there is yet a State Expansion code that will actually allow the icons to be changed individually?

For example, normally they are all duplicate icons of FD and I think Battlefield: Could those be set to the empty slots in Stage Select .pac, if one was to condense the SSS so it's file size doesn't get to large, could the empty slots be assigned to be read by the code?

Just a thought, and don't know hot to contact PhantomWings to give him the idea lol.
8  Help & Tutorials / Help / SFX in Gecko on: November 23, 2011, 02:13:40 PM
I am currently forced to use a Gecko-type USB loader, for 2 reasons:
1) I left my Disc out of state (Wii was given to me, but he misplaced his Brawl disc); and
2) The blasted thing loads alot faster via USB than it does from a Disc anyhow, so if possible, I'd like to keep the USB loader even when I get the disc.

That being said, I was hoping that someone knew of either a USB hack of Riivolution, or a way to load character SFX via Gecko. I know some time back it wasn't possible, but I was hoping that over recent months it has changed, at least a little.

Basically, I'm getting tired of hearing "Falco-Kick!" when I throw a spirit bomb!
9  Help & Tutorials / Help / CSS Reset problem on: November 23, 2011, 11:30:45 AM
I haven't changed my layout of my CSS for a long time now, and my CSS currently has Pokemon Trainer off, Independent Pokemon on, 1 Icon for Zelda, 1 for Sheik, and all others as normal.

Last night, I tried to redo it, taking off the Independent Pokemon, Enable PT, and enable ZSS.

Thing is, each time I try to save it it saves correctly, but when I try to load it, even after powering off my Wii, it goes back to how I USED to have it, with the Pokemon on. I even disabled the Independent Poke code, and they still show up!

The file I'm editing is in PF/Menu2/
Any idea why I can't get this to change???
10  Help & Tutorials / Help / 3 Porting questions on: November 07, 2011, 03:05:09 PM
Please excuse if they are in plain site, but I did look and didn't find anything about these questions, or at least not obviously states.

1) I'm using the Ichigo over Marth hack, and it works well, except he shoots a white cutter (like Kirby's sword), rather than a black wave for his N-B. I was looking in how to change this, and saw there was an image that looked like it was supposed to be used in the textures, but isn't being shown: how can I port that to be used rather than an in-game image?

2)Could someone point me in the direction of an article to show me how to re-model/vertex a character a simple way? In short, I'm trying to use textures from a Zelda or Peach texture on the Rosy over Jigglypuff model, so I'm looking for an efficient way).

3)Anyone aware of any .Rels to put A Captain Falcon hack over another character, preferably Lucas or Olimar, or tell me where it shows how to convert it? I saw the Clone Character topic, but didn't actually describe how to edit the .rels.

Thanks Smiley
11  Help & Tutorials / Help / PokeTrainer .REL on: August 19, 2011, 03:09:51 PM
I was wondering if it would be possible to put lets say Captain Falcon over Pokemon Trainer, without effecting the pokemon, and having the pokemon still run normal on an independent pokemon system?

Reason I ask is because I'm using hacks over each pokemon, and want them seperate, but am afraid to mess with the pokemon trainer, because I don't know if a .REL would change him to a battle character or not, much less if it would effect anything else.

Right now, I have him removed from the CSS, but I would like to put Goku over him, if it would work.
But I don't even know enough about .RELs yet to try >_<
12  Help & Tutorials / Help / Texture Hacking different sides on: August 04, 2011, 10:18:09 AM
I was wondering if/how it would be possible to hack a texture to where something different shows up on one side.

Examples would be for Yuna's eyes being 2 different colors, or Sephiroth having one wing.

From what i saw, the textures just mirror the .pcs file, but I'm still learning.
13  Help & Tutorials / Help / Title Screen Question on: July 31, 2011, 10:31:58 PM
I found how to edit where it says "Brawl" on the title screen, and edited it without any problems.

But when I try to edit the character pics that appear on the hill, or the black credits bar, it doesn't edit.

I even used someone else's sc_title.pac, where they had it edited (enTitleFront_copy), and edited it.

Thing is, it STILL shows the version they had, even after restarting the Wii.

Can someone please tell me where to edit it to have it work?

14  Help & Tutorials / Help / BrawlBox Preview on: July 31, 2011, 02:55:37 AM
I was trying to view a .PAC file, and when I clicked "preview" on the fitchar under model, it opened the new window, with all the check boxes and everything, but the center plane where it's supposed to show the model is completely gray.

Any idea why? Sorry, this has probably been answered before, but I've been trying to figure it out on my own for a while now, and need to go to bed, so figured I'd post and hope someone could give a quick answer.

Thanks Smiley
15  Help & Tutorials / Help / Qs on the CSS on: July 27, 2011, 09:22:36 PM
Just 2 quick questions about CSSs....

1) I have duplicates of a few players, such as Zelda, Master Cheif, and such on the bottom, that doesn't show when editing the CSS... any ideas?

Second question is about the backgrounds: how can you make the background animated?
I saw one entry changed in selchar.pac, but it was a .PNG file, and I didn't know you could animate .PNGs... or am I missing something?

Sorry if this was already answered, but I couldn't find anything on it.

Thanks
