Yes I did. Renamed "MarthP&P" to "Ft_Purin.rel"

I know I'm speaking like a broken record when someone else has asked this many times but... how do you go about doing this? Because I've taken a P&P Rel (Marth), changed the Module ID to 7c (Jiggly) and changed the Character ID in Sect 8 to 25 (Jiggly) and put it in the Rel folder, booted up smash, selected Jiggz, selected a stage, and it silently freezes there. Is there something else that I'm not doing?

P.S. I took all of Marth's files (fitmarth.pac fitmarthmotionetc, etc) and renamed it to Fitpurin and it still locks on me.

Reengineer, Rebuild, Revolutionize? What ever it is, Super Smash Bros. R is a mod that will change everything there is to change in brawl. It will give each character their own move-set without changing it drastically. That basically means no clones! You ask "how? what moves will you give them?" Well, if you didn't know, characters from 64 had most of their moves changed when they transitioned to Melee. We want the original 12 to have back those N64 move-sets! That would make Melee clones far more diverse from their original counterparts!

But wait, there's more! SSBR is also based mostly on other features of previous games from the series, including stages, and attacks that were cut or changed. On the other hand, new content will also be provided. The hope is that you enjoy these new (or old) features that will arrive. Thanks for your time!

The Character selection screen (CSS) has been altered to meet this need of new content. Unlike previous games, where the characters to select from were on top, they are now below, to increase the size of the characters' portraits and add a more HD and vibrant look to the pictures.

New photos and new outfits for your favorite characters, give each of them estimated 10 new looks. Don't like one color? Sure! Just switch to one you like!

With so many to choose from, how can you not like any of them?

The Stage Selection Screen (SSS) has been given a change as well. The stages to select from are on the top now, instead of the side. If you remember, the original smash had something similar to this before, so it's refreshing to bring it back. Also to note, each preview of a stage will show the actual stage you fight on. It's literally similar to showing a model of the stage when you highlight its icon.

The same is shown in MyMusic.

So get ready for this brand new mod of Brawl, as I continue to work hard on bring you Super Smash bros. R!

Now, I probably know what you're thinking. You're probably asking, "what about new stages?" and you're probably right, but don't worry. New stages are in the works, and I hope you will enjoy them. Probably. If not, for shame to me, but don't shun me out just yet. If you don't like how the stage is, there is a way to change it in-game, like this:

I am the only one on the team currently, and I honestly need help. I admit. If you are interested in this mod, you can help, and this is how:

If you know someone or something about working with models, shaders, materials, or can rig/re-rig a model, this would be a huge help! Please contact me if you're interested!
Even though I am learing my best at Animating the new characters or even the existing ones, another hand can help in a big way. Please, if you'd like to help in any part of animation, I'd greatly appreciate it. Let me know!
This one speaks for itself. There are millions of new discoveries to be made in PSA. I'm sure the new characters will need a pretty big overhaul of editing in PSA. If you know anything on the subject and are willing to help at all, please contact me!

For some reason my Pokemon trainer has nine costumes and I don't want that. How would I go back to changing it to 5 or 6 on my CSS?
Edit the CSSSlotConfig file for Pokemon trainer, and the FighterConfig file. On the fighterconfig, check only 1-6, and on the CSSSlotConfig, edit it with a hex editor and put 0c after six sets of two bits of data on the last row aka 0x20. (EX: If you have something like
00 00 02 05 06 04 04 06 03 02 01 03 05 01 07 07
08 08 09 09 0c 00, put the 0c after 12 bits)

Bit: (a bit is composed of two characters)

Alright, so I got every clone that I wanted to test out set up correctly (aside from cosmetics). But I have one odd problem.

I wanted to make a clone for my upcoming PSA. So I used the Clone Tool and made a clone of Link. Then I edited the module so it wouldn't cause any conflicts and so it would load the new slot. I added in all the correct files and named them correctly. But every time I try to enter a battle (after I select a stage) it freezes.

Anyone know why?
I just had that problem lol
It just hangs at the SSS, right? (After selecting a stage?) Well, I saw my folder in my PF folder was named "Shadow Mario" and my .Rel module was named "Ft_ShadowMario.rel" So I took out the space, and it worked haha. Make sure the names match PERFECTLY Cheesy

Good to see you again, Phantom Wings. Thank you for all your continued support in the hacking scene ever since GSCentral lol. You're doing wonders with such a grand game. However, despite your patronage in hacking and modding smash bros., I feel like you don't get to enjoy the work you do as much as we do, or as much as you'd like to. I feel like, even though you've made pretty much everything we use today, you don't have the time to actually sit and enjoy it, and you just continue to work on it more without breaks. Obviously this is what I only see in my head, and by all means, correct me if I'm wrong.. I just feel like you just work and work, and that's probably exhausting. :/

Nevertheless, thank you for everything you've done with brawl. I can't wait for what you will have in store for us next! Cheesy

You can download all the modules of characters that can be cloned on the first page. As far as I know, that list hasn't changed.

Howd you get the name at the end to be Marissa on the results screen?
It's in the Config file. You're talking about when it says 2D Marisa? Yeah, open up your clone's COSMETIC config file in a hex editor and you should see a name already, (probably the character you cloned). Smiley

But having Pokemon WITH NO Final Smash is really boring.
That's true as well. Can't a FS be made, though? Or did they do something that we can't give them one? If I can, I'll gladly give them their own Final Smash. I have a few ideas. Lol

It is a bad idea to have the 3 Pokemon separated.
Dependant Pokemon are a lot of ways better than 3 separate Pokemon with no Down-B nor Final Smash.
You could always use the PM pokes. Cheesy
 I'll be honest, vBrawl Ivysaur is not as fun to play as PM Ivysaur. I'm really enjoying what PM did with him. Cheesy

I would like to point out that in my tutorial i only instructed things that i had done personally, since there was NOT an established method for adding custom cosmetics to clones. In fact, i do believe the only person to add cosmetics before me was ASF. (I may be forgetting someone, don't shoot me) so when making the tutorial i played it on the safe side and adding things in the exact way that brawl had them.

The game may not need stock icons, however the game does in fact NEED BP's or the game will crash (on a wii). Same as if there were no CSP for cBliss costumes. The game tries to load something that is not there. Info.pac may not be necessary for BP's though, as info/portrite *i believe* are also BP's so if you add them there, it will be fine.

in other news, starting tomorrow i will have much more freetime and can start working on stuff again. Im going to be recording 2 video tutorials as well. one for clone SFX and the other for GFX fixes. it also looks like i will be doing Ness' module first, as i need him for personal reasons. I may also revise my custom cosmetics to be a short, sweet, tl;dr version. Smiley
Thank you for your continued support in this thread, Sammi! I have learned a lot just from watching your videos. I'd love to see those two! Although, I do know how to give clones sfx, heu heu heu... :]

Anyways, I've trying to find out to how to give characters second team colors, but I just don't know where exactly it is. I thought I almost got it, by looking into Wario's files. How did PM do it? Does anyone know if at all possible you can give a character a 2nd set of Team colors? EX: Brawl Fox, red/blue/green > Melee Fox, red/blue/green > back to Brawl Fox
