1  Help & Tutorials / Help / ASL (Alt Stage Loader) incompatible with 1P Mode? on: March 18, 2015, 11:12:01 AM
All Stages work for Multiplayer, but 1p stages like Targets and the "Heal" stage in All-star mode, does not. Why is this?

EDIT: If I pull out my SD Card right before beginning the mode (After character select, press start), it works normally.. and even when I put it back while the mode has after begun, it still works. It's just that initial startup...
2  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Project Super Smash Bros. R [PIKACHU SKINS/RAICHU ALT (3/27)] on: September 09, 2014, 04:48:06 PM

Reengineer, Rebuild, Revolutionize? What ever it is, Super Smash Bros. R is a mod that will change everything there is to change in brawl. It will give each character their own move-set without changing it drastically. That basically means no clones! You ask "how? what moves will you give them?" Well, if you didn't know, characters from 64 had most of their moves changed when they transitioned to Melee. We want the original 12 to have back those N64 move-sets! That would make Melee clones far more diverse from their original counterparts!

But wait, there's more! SSBR is also based mostly on other features of previous games from the series, including stages, and attacks that were cut or changed. On the other hand, new content will also be provided. The hope is that you enjoy these new (or old) features that will arrive. Thanks for your time!

(^Most recent version of CSS)
The Character selection screen (CSS) has been altered to meet this need of new content. Unlike previous games, where the characters to select from were on top, they are now below, to increase the size of the characters' portraits and add a more HD and vibrant look to the pictures.

New photos and new outfits for your favorite characters, give each of them estimated 10 new looks. Don't like one color? Sure! Just switch to one you like!

With so many to choose from, how can you not like any of them?

The Stage Selection Screen (SSS) has been given a change as well. The stages to select from are on the top now, instead of the side. If you remember, the original smash had something similar to this before, so it's refreshing to bring it back. Also to note, each preview of a stage will show the actual stage you fight on. It's literally similar to showing a model of the stage when you highlight its icon.

The same is shown in MyMusic.

So get ready for this brand new mod of Brawl, as I continue to work hard on bring you Super Smash bros. R!

NOW let's look at some of those features!

MARIO                 New Moves

WARIO                 New Moves

YOSHI                 New Moves

PIKACHU                 New Moves

All CSPs and textures shown were made by the Smash3 developers, unless stated otherwise.
All credit is not my own.

Here are just a few of the stages that will a part of the mod!

Now, I probably know what you're thinking. You're probably asking, "what about new stages?" and you're probably right, but don't worry. New stages are in the works, and I hope you will enjoy them. Probably. If not, for shame to me, but don't shun me out just yet. If you don't like how the stage is, there is a way to change it in-game, like this:

Yep. Omega stages are now a part of the mod! NOW I'm sure you will enjoy this new feature! ...Probably.

I am the only one on the team currently, and I honestly need help. I admit. If you are interested in this mod, you can help, and this is how:

If you know someone or something about working with models, shaders, materials, or can rig/re-rig a model, this would be a huge help! Please contact me if you're interested!
Even though I am learing my best at Animating the new characters or even the existing ones, another hand can help in a big way. Please, if you'd like to help in any part of animation, I'd greatly appreciate it. Let me know!
This one speaks for itself. There are millions of new discoveries to be made in PSA. I'm sure the new characters will need a pretty big overhaul of editing in PSA. If you know anything on the subject and are willing to help at all, please contact me!

Stages can be a handful, I know, but if you're willing to help out with stages; if you know anything regarding stage work, I need your help!

3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Pichu issue. on: January 17, 2011, 08:42:17 AM
I've made Pichu from Pikachu on 3DS max. I export the verts to the model and import it back, it looks messed up. I repeat for the double patch. It still looks messy. How many patches would need to be initiated to perfect the edited model? Also, Pichu is roughly the same size as Pikachu, I have another method of making Pichu little.
4  Help & Tutorials / Help / Conform Wrap Needed. on: January 11, 2011, 03:18:03 PM
I tried to get it, but I assume the one I have "received" was not the one I would need for modding.

Can anyone tell me where and How to get it (Working) for 3DS Max?
5  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Stages by Power--1/15 *New Preview!* on: December 31, 2010, 04:20:31 PM
Hello, and welcome to my stage vault; where all stages I make, and have made, go here.
Let's begin...

(  LIST  )
The Dome-- Final Destination--12%
Okami Girl Stage--Final Destination--(12/31)

My Most recent stage. My very first original stage as well. Pretty Balanced, the only obstacles are the
moving clouds... and.... eyes that stare into your soul, that's it! Heh....?

The special Melee stages are back in their newest forms. Still capturing that legendary melee feel to it,
but in Brawl. Quite nice to bring it back, eh?

The first type of stage I built myself. I thought, honestly, it would be difficult, and yet I did these
in record time. It's really quite enjoy able to fight on this. They should not desync because
FD's collisions are still intact originally.

The deserted mansion that was once, beloved. Now, no one lives there, and so many years
has transformed this place into a mysterious, always raining, battleground.

No, not the actual stage, as you can see. This, was back when all I could do was change the texture of
Brawl's FD. This is Brawl's FD textured into Melee's kind. One of my best "textured" stages, it seems.

My very first stage I ever brought forth. It's only a texture of Brawl's Mushroomy Kingdom,
but it has a "chill" feel to it, heh.

7  Help & Tutorials / Help / Replacing Character heads on: July 16, 2010, 07:34:06 PM
Heh, I know the topic sounds weird, but I know it is theoretically possible. I believe Mastaklo has done something like this before, with Sonic? I am trying to get the head of a certain trophy onto Toonlink's body. I added the textures in, and I have replace one of Toonlink's external gfx mdl0 with the trophy. I put it in his wait1 from PSA to see how it will look, and in-game, nothing happens... no trophy.

I went to the Majora toonlink psa and replaced the Majora model with the trophy and only imported one of the textures of that trophy. I tested it, and it actually worked, aside from other weird textures. I added more textures in, and it is gone again now. I am afraid this is a size issue, but hopefully it is not.

What do you all think?
8  Help & Tutorials / Help / model resizing issue on: July 15, 2010, 05:14:25 PM
Well, I found out that I could resize bones with BB, but then realized after renaming them, they do not keep their animations. But then I found the most less used bone to resize the whole body XYZ separately, with the YrotN bone. I renamed the bone and resized it, I tested the motion file with it and it kept its changed size. I even renamed the Head bone to make clarification that the file loaded in brawl was the one I edited.

I tested in Brawl and as I know, the head bone worked. It did not move on its own as Wind Waker Falcon had. All worked.... except for the size, it was still the normal size. But I know the file was changed, just the size did not, for some reason... I also resized the head as well, but it did not show up too.

If it would help, I renamed the Head bone to HeadNbig, and YRotN Bone to YRotNshorty.
9  Help & Tutorials / Help / Vertex Weight issue. on: July 11, 2010, 07:00:13 PM
*v Go to MarioKart64n's Vertex weight thread if you know how to solve this. v*

Alright, so I edited luigi, in terms of vertex editing, and also in terms of Mariokart64n's method. I put the model back in BB and it is all good. I arranged Luigi's buttons to be on his face and hat... in a sense.

The problem is that when Luigi is in motion or such, the buttons escape from his face and cling in the air or in other various positions. I observed and tried to find how to fix such a problem, and found his buttons are not bones, neither do they have any, BUT are in fact connected to a certain said bone. His WaistN, I believe it was, is the bone.

Now what I would like to know if at all possible, is if the polygon can be connect to the bone of his head or face?
I know his hat is another bone, but I think I can rename that one so it does not move. Thank you for your gracious time. Wink

11  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Ichigo Kurosaki V1.0 *SPECIALS* on: February 02, 2010, 06:06:51 PM
Hi there. It is I: Power Marshall, bringing you yet again another PSA from my abilities.

This time it is-

The Orange-hair Hero we all love from an anime called "Bleach". Now he can be in your Brawl! Really?

Well, not fully. Today I bring to you Ichigo V1.0 BETA. The reason for beta is I have not messed with his Specials yet... (except his Side a little... hehe)

Full Bankai- He awakens his true Bankai powers.
Changes are:
-All attacks are quicker
Special is Black Getsuga tenshou (Not chargable)
Side Special is Unreal Quick!  Azn
Jab, Tilts, and Smashes can be interrupted at the last 7 frames of the animation.
Aerials have increased KnockBack by +A (10 in hex)
Smashes have super armor but Ichigo can still receive damage. (This does not effect Smash Starts or Charging the smash attack.)
When you charge a Smash, the screen will shake a little as much as you hold the smash to notify that Ichigo is stronger than he was before.

-This will probably last a minute or so.

Stance (NEW)

Jab (A)

Just a simple swing of the sword.

STilt (> or <, A)

Slams his Zanpakuto to the ground, but so the side hits it.

Dash Attack (Dash A)

Spins around while swinging the sword.

DTilt (V, A)

Swings his sword both left and right.

If you get hit on the first, you might have a hard time getting out so you do not get the second.

Swings his sword all around him.

No area close to him is safe, haha.

Smash Attack (Smash > or <, A)

A very interesting move. It appears to be a sort-of Flash-Step.

It is limited in distance, but can trick your opponents if they are close and they think you will not connect.

Down Smash (Smash V, A)

Ichigo Slams his Zanpakuto in the ground causing dust to arise quickly.

The dust could bring damage actually, too.

Up Smash (Smash ^, A)

Seems he is tired of using the o Vertical slash and wants to be original. Here we are.

Nice horizontally vertical slash where the side of the sword does the damage.

NAir (Air A)
One of my favorite attacks Ichigo has now. A four Swing combo!

Pretty good for damage. Very.

Ichigo Swings his sword in one hand and also both his arms, the sword gets the damage. Both Arms reach his back while finished.

Basically the same, no real difference.

Our orange Swordsman swipes the air below his feet with his Zanpakuto.

If hit, get ready to go down.

The Substitute Soul Reaper spins in the air while swinging his 'T? in a circular motion.

What, you think it is the same as his Dash Attack? You are joking, right? We will never know...  AWESOME 2.0!

You have been waiting for this, have you not?

As anticipated, it is called Getsuga Tenshou.
His 'To actually can damage as well as the force that comes from the sword.

In the air, His 'Tenshou actually goes diagonal.

Only a little bit more distance than the Semi, but can be interrupted with any move except moving lol.

In the air goes the same, maybe better?

A secret move that Hollow ichigo used before Ichi himself? But he learned to use that same move so here it is!

Seems he is leaving himself open for an attack. What if you attack?

He gaurds it and keeps you close while he says the words: "Getsuga.... Tenshou!!"

If you noticed, I am also working on a Bleach Stage too. Can you guess what it is?

Errors, bugs, or maybe suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks, Enjoy.

12  Help & Tutorials / Help / Project SA with UsbGecko? on: August 11, 2009, 09:29:11 AM
Just like textures were with Usbgecko, would it be possible for the same way with Smash attacks? I mean like upload them blah blah, and test them like so?
13  Help & Tutorials / Texture and Portrait Tutorials / Power's texture color coded guide on: July 09, 2009, 09:43:37 AM
(I'm not sure where this should go, but if an admin or someone thinks this isn't the place, moving it is okay. I just don't want to get in-trouble again So I'll put it here.)

What this here is is a guide on some hard spots when you edit textures, much like . But I may be wrong, though I just wanted to help. I hope you find this to be very needed and used for when you go out and texture hack.

So here we go. (I'll only guide you through the HARD spots to figure out, not easy ones like eyes.)

Colored letters or words go with the picture in the corresponding color box.

This is the nose and mouth shadow, not the actual.
This is the rear backside of pika where the tail starts at.
This is his hands or arms. The reason its a big box is cause its not just for the top but all around his arm too.
This would be his feet only, not legs. It goes, as well, around... sort-of.
Sadly, this is his whole front body, or tummy. Now, this is weird, cause if you make one dot there, it will stretch it so in the game- it would look like you made 4 dots formed like a square.
This is his head or face and the top too. Again, one dot equals 4-5 dots together or so.
This is his back, not the rear but its above it. It repeats twice so you better make it look like it should repeat. Wink
This is his ear. Once again, it goes all around.
His tail. The weird line I drew there shows where the top of it is. your welcomed.
His mouth inside, ew. But when pika opens it on in the game, from the mouth up to the eyes thats what it is here.
This is his nose texture, in the game, it isn't that big but thats a good thing, right?
Nao, I have no idea what that is, its not in the game so why bother?
The rest of his skin is... well, his skin. lol. Happy hacking!  Grin
