1  Help & Tutorials / Help / Easiest way to insert CSPs? on: July 03, 2013, 01:12:02 PM
(I use Riivolution, btw)

Sorry for asking this, but I just can't follow any of the tutorials out there - they all include/emphasize the creation of CSPs, and I can't tell where the creation parts end and the basic insertion begins.

From what I can tell, stuff like SFX, CSPs, etc. all go on common_en files, and because every one is on the same file, it requires Brawlbox to edit that one common_en file in order to change individual CSPs, SFX, etc.

Is there no easier way to do this? I'm looking through common5 or whatever, and I can't tell where anything is. Even when I get to where some of the CSPs appear to be, the names of the files are all "miscblahblah" so I'm just randomly clicking to find which character is where.

On top of all that, I can't imagine having the organization to go through the CSPs, battle portraits, SFX, etc. of every single custom character.

Is there something I'm missing here? Or do I simply not have what it takes to completely deck out my Brawl with all of the great custom content this site has to offer?
2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Are there any data partitions still intact out there? on: July 01, 2013, 03:24:37 PM
I've literally looked everywhere, but part of me doesn't want to report anything in case there's something I'm missing.

I download the NTSC version under the Resources tab on this site, and every time after downloading ~2 gigs, it appears to be done, but says Unexpected End of Archive when I try to access it.

I've looked elsewhere around the web, but they all link to this http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=bf68243dc4c908b28d78a0e5552916095d6170349cac00195be6ba49b5870170.

Does anybody have a working link to the partition? Can anybody try the US download under Resources so that I can be sure it's not just me before I report it as a corrupt file? Is it easy enough to extract the files from the ISO?

Anything would be much appreciated!
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Couple of easy(?) Riivolution/modding questions on: February 13, 2011, 07:59:57 PM
When numbers (00-05 or something) are in a file, is that what costume the changes will be applied to?
If so, is it ok for me to just change that number to choose what costume is overwritten?
And what if the model also has move changes (psa I think it is?) Will the changes only apply to that costume?

What inserting things like songs, which (I believe) don't have locations to overwrite in the file? So far I've just been throwing mod files into my ssbb folder which knew where to change things, but how would I specify further?

A little bit on a tangent here, but does anyone know if any codes exist that I could plug into Riivolution to unlock everything in this game?

Lastly, it seems like Riivolution only recognizes my ssbb folder every 3 or 4 times, and I'm always exiting and reloading. Anybody know what this is about?

I know that's a lot, but even answering one of the questions would be appreciated.
