Its not the size thats the problem since you use Riivo, it must have something to do with what your loading.

So what exacally are you using (not in terms of loader, but what you are loading in the first place)
I'm loading PAC files for almost every charictors for skins, have 1 stage PAC file that isn't completed so it freezes if u go on tht stage, and then the common5.PAC and that's it. Keep in mind everything loads perfect without the common5.PAC.

Whenever I try to use a few CSPs on a common5.pac my wii freezes when u click to go to the charictor selection screen. I have searced a couple of threads abt common5 problems and from them i read abt trying to replace the sc_selmap_en on your modified common5 with a sc_selmap_en from a clean common5 and i read abt the possibility of going over the file size limit. Well i tried the first suggestion and it didn't work. And i do not believe my common5 is going over it's file size limit because i only have a few CSPs in there.

Just to make sure here is the size of a clean common5.pac: 11.6 MB (12,204,896 bytes) and here is the size of my common5.pac: 11.6 MB (12,220,416 bytes). Someone please tell me if i am going over it's file size limit because don't know wat it is and can't find it after searching for it. I am also loading it through riivolution. Can someone please help me?

Scroll down to "These are the corresponding ## colors"

Oh wow do I feel like an idiot. I was assuming tht the color IDs were in order from in game on the charictors from left to right. Thanks for this.
19  Help & Tutorials / Help / [Help/Question] About pcs and pac file color IDs on: March 09, 2011, 10:44:27 PM
Sence I am new to brawl hacking there r something id like to know abt pcs and pac files. First of all the main reason i am making this post is because i have a select few charictor  pcs/pac texture files that for some reason ignore their color ID in their name (example: for fox his pac and/or pcs file name can be: FitFox00, FitFox01, FitFox02, FitFox03, FitFox04, and FitFox05. the number after: FitFox is it's color ID) even if i change it.

For example, I have R.O.B. skin named: "FitRobot01" that ignores the "01" in its name and actually loads to: "FitRobot05" in game. Some of the Textures I have will even not be in game at all, which makes me assume that its actually going to a color ID that it's charictor doesn't even have in some cases. For example: a "FitRobot02" that is loading to: "FitRobot09".

Why is this? What really puzzles me is that others work and others don't which doesn't make sence to me. During the creation of these files does the creator have the choice to set up and/or modify how their file will work with their color ID in their name? Or is there just some sort of bug in the way i am loading these textures? I personally don't think that theres something wrong with the way I am loading them because of the fact that most of the textures I have will go were there color ID is. Can someone please help me?
20  Help & Tutorials / Help / homebrew installing problems on: March 08, 2011, 04:54:33 PM
I will start out by saying that i have never modded / hacked a wii before and i have version a 4.3u wii. Whenever i try to install hackmii and smashstack like in: "The Complete N00B's Guide to Brawl Hacking" sticky when i get to the part were ur suppoest to select the brawl stage builder for the installer/s to run automaticly nothing happens for me, it will just sit there and not load. Ao i am not sure wat to do.

Just to make sure i will say exactly wat i did:

1. downloaded hackmii version 0.7 and smashstack (all from the links in that guide i previously refered to)
2. put my default 2g SD card i got w/ my wii in and formated it to FAT
3. put the smashstack: "private" folder and the hackmii: "boot.elf" file in my SD drive
4. turned my wii on, pressed a to that stupid warning
5. put my SD card in at the wii menu
6. ran brawl from the wii menu
7. clicked on the brawl: "Stage Builder"
8. sat and waited for something to happen like its supposed to but nothing did happen

Can someone help me?
