The red plumber is back in action! This time he's wearing a suit that makes him FLY. Well, sort of. Not in brawl, at least. I used brawl Mario's hands and head to make it look better. His whole helmet acts like his hat, so he takes it off when you side-taunt!
@Convour: O they do. Then make sure you keep mario's head to the default material and shader. I don't see why he would go bluish haired just like that.
I fixed it, everything is a-ok now. No more messed up hair. Just putting finishing touches on it now, it should be done by tonight it's now done and submitted to the vault
Polygons 8 and 10 are the regular eyes, EyeL and EyeR use 4 textures each. I have the original shader along with brawl Mario's shader0 and shader1 for the eyes. Post Merge: August 31, 2013, 08:47:05 PM
@Iwvi Mario and Luigi's eye textures don't use a pallete, so it isn't that, it also seems to be using one of the propeller suit's textures. @Convour Export the EyeL, EyeR, EyeYellowL, and the EyeYellowR materails, then export the Shader0 and Shader1 because those are the two shaders that the eyes use and is needed for all four textures to show up. Also like Iwvi said, rig the propeller to the HatN bone.
The issue with the eyes was that nothing was assigned to them, so I think it confused the game.
Thanks, I've been trying to figure out how to get the eyes to work all day.
I have taken a break from my Spongebob pack and have been working on Propeller Mario for the past couple of days. I have taken into account that many people would prefer for me to use brawl's head instead of NSMBW's, so I did. His propeller is the only rigging issue at the moment, only because it doesn't move with the helmet. The only other issue is texture placement. Eyes especially. I'm still trying to figure out how brawl uses the eyes.
They are about the same size
When using Metal, the "M" doesn't have a weird outline, unlike Propeller Luigi
When Mario does his Side Taunt, his whole helmet moves (his propeller is supposed to also)
Anubis over Ike and I must say I did a pretty good job so far, doesn't look half bad, eh? My first ever character hack for Ike, we need more of them. I don't see enough of them for some reason, but I'm gonna change all that!
So yeah, it's pretty much completely rigged, but his sword doesn't follow the animations properly, there shouldn't be two "swords" and I've yet to figure out why. Tried rigging to SwordN and SwordM, in Brawl Box both bones are set as visibility (set to: true), sure it's a PEBKAC error on my part, but yeah, very, very close to completion. Any tips?
That looks pretty awesome! I cannot wait for it to be done! As far as tips go, I cannot really provide any, sorry.
Progress update! Regular and Manly Spongebob are close to being done! I just need to add/do the arms, and then try to find something to use as a bat/stick. I asked permission to use the spatula from the current spongebob hack, but I haven't gotten a response. Despite what it looks like, they are actually the same size.
I'm finally done smoothing out all of the models for spongebob! They are now finally ready to be rigged. What I need to figure out now, is who I'm going to rig them over. Any suggestions?
If I were you, I would at least use Brawl Luigi's face.
I may in the future, but I feel that I'm done with him for now.
My next project is to make a Spongebob Squarepants pack! I noticed that the SS Movie for the gamecube had many variations on Spongebob, like Drunk, Manager, Manly, Mermaidman, Ripped Pants, and Spongegar. I don't know exactly who I'm going to put him over. Maybe mario so he can remove the headgear with his side-taunt.
Right now I'm in the process of smoothing out all of the models. I've only done Drunk Spongebob so far.
I've rotated him forward a little bit for the sake of the photo to show that his hat isn't connected to his body
He only has 4 fingers, so I'm going to have to figure out which fingers I want to rig with it
