One problem. if you use your sheild when you get hit by the FS, you take no damage what so ever, and the sheild doesn't pop or shrink due to the time freeze
It's a ridiculously strong FS. I think it's allowed to have drawbacks.
Drawbacks justify the power.

That was way cool.
I always thought that if Michael Jackson were in Brawl, his Final Smash would somehow have to be the move from Moonwalker where he makes everyone dance with him.

1.6 is looking pretty cool!
If you hit the ground while doing the forward-aerial and then immediately shield, he guards himself and roll and such while holding the hammer! Cool.

I don't actually like the whole Metal Mario thing though.
But I did think of a taunt that sounds easy and would look cool.
Just a Hammer Holding taunt like the Ice Climbers'
Ness has a similar taunt with his bat.

It could even be the new cape taunt if you wanted.

Anyways, I realize the hat removal thing is quite fitting for the metal activation, as if he was switching out for the metal cap, so I guess the cape activation taunt should be changed.
Maybe that spinning pose thing he does in SMBZ.

The Hammer seems like it's an okay size from a distance, but I think I could accept it being a bit smaller.
Now I wish Luigi had Hammer attacks, lol.

Actually, if it's SMBZ Mario, instead of throwing hammers, shouldn't his Neutral B be kamehameha-styled fireballs?
It'd be neat if he could do something like Aura Sphere, except it's made of fire instead of aura.

He does the peace sign taunt with the hand he holds items with. That makes it look weird, lol.

Oh hey, I isolated and reliably replicated the hammer head cracker launcher issue.
It's related to the being grabbed while hammering thing. When you do a dash attack near an item, normally you pick it up and continue with the attack until its finished, but the Cracker Launcher interrupts the animation, causing Mario to continue to hold the hammer until he lets go of the Cracker Launcher.

Upon further testing, it seems the Cracker Launcher is the only item that causes this behaviour, all other items will let Mario do the entire hammer spin after which he puts the hammer away. The only strange anomaly is that throwing items will alter the angle at which Mario holds the hammer.

No biggie, just a heads-up.

Also bonus points if at some point it can be made so that Mario swings his hammer in tandem with the Hammer/Golden Hammer the way Dedede does Cheesy

Huh. In that video I did the hammer stuck out of Mario's head while he was using the Cracker Launcher, but I can't get that to happen again. Which I guess is a good thing.
Also, when you grab Mario while he's got his hammer out, he doesn't put it away until you let go.

Was that on purpose? Because I think it's quite a cool touch either way.
