I put everything, including the sc_selmap, where it's supposed to go, but every time I pick a stage, the game freezes, but without the buzz. Even if I just let my Wii sit there, nothing loads up. This happens every time, even if I try to pick a stage that hasn't been hacked. Anyone got any ideas?
What format is your SD card? It has to be either FAT16 or FAT32. Also make sure the boot.elf is on the root of your SD card. Not in the 'private' folder, but on the top of your SD card.
Thanks for your reply. I think I figured it out. I had an sc_selcharacter.pac under menu2 and a common5.pac under system. I'm under the impression you probably don't need them both and as soon as I deleted the common5.pac, everything started working again.
This is a problem I have not run into before. I use Gecko OS and the only hacks I have are texture hacks and a few stage hacks. When I go to load a stage, any stage, my Wii freezes, but the silent one where I guess it's looking for the stage file to load. I could understand it looking for the stage textures, but how come it can't even find the ones that come with the game? I'm positive the stage textures I DO have work; I have another SD card with the same ones that work just fine. So, I'm beginning to think maybe my .gct has something to do with the problem, but I personally can't find anything wrong with it. Maybe someone here can.
Okay, when I try to create a .sawnd file from this program, the files comes out as 27 bytes. I know there's no way that can be right, especially when I changed a few of the announcer's voices in the charcall section of the .brsar. I need the .sawnd file because I use the Replacement Soundbank Engine code for Gecko OS. Anybody got an idea what's going on?
Thanks a lot! Everything worked just fine this time! You're right; Phantom Wings IS a genius! That. rel is pretty amazing. I renamed all the costumes like you said and other than the PSA itself being sort of glitchy, your instructions worked to the letter! You were right about there being no sound the first couple of times I loaded it up too, but now even that's alright.
So, I'm assuming to port over characters, you just need the .rel, the codes assuming the .rel isn't like the great one you gave me, and keeping the Dark and Spy files?
I renamed all the files for Dedede, but when I loaded everything up in game, all of Ichigo's moves did the T-stance, so I figured I must have done something wrong. The models seemed to work, just not the moveset. Does anyone have any ideas?
Weird thing I've run into. I'm playing vBrawl with a few texture hacks and some PSA's and sometimes and only sometimes, my Wii will freeze after I pick Training Mode under solo. It doesn't freeze at the SSS, but right when the match is about to start. I figured it was one of my PSA's, but I tried them all during multiplayer and didn't get one freeze, but as soon as I picked Training Mode again, my Wii froze. Anyone got any ideas?
Are you loading from Gecko or Riivolution? What size is your SD card?
Are you loading from the disc or a USB Loader?
Is your disc scratched up or damaged at all? That can affect loading times.
It could be a number of things screwing up the transformation time. It could be the size of the texture hack too. Do you have the .PAC file as well as the .PCS file in the character's folder?
I downloaded a .bnk file of Goku SFX for the Goku over Pit PSA, but the file is a .bnk file and not a .sawnd one. I use Gecko OS with the Replacement Soundbank Engine code and the newer one doesn't support .bnk files. So, is there a way to convert the .bnk to a .sawnd file so I can use it?
I'm referring to MenSelchrMark. Is there a way to change it for individual stages? Changing one, say the Mario logo, changes the logo for every stage with that logo, when I only need to change it for a specific stage. Any information you could give me, everyone?
Is this still impossible with the File Patch Code, or has some workaround been found? I can't use Riivolution because my Wii's Disc Drive acts screwy when I try to play double sided games like SSBB. Am I gonna have to go into the ISO and mess with some stuff if Gecko OS doesn't work?
Thanks for the reply. The .rel you gave me didn't work, making me wonder if you were on to something about the stage not being a Final Destination one. I've tried three different .rel files, including the one you gave me, and none of them worked.
