Send me your gct and I'll try to find it out. Mediafire, dropbox or whatever.
This is going to sound odd, but if you do find out what's causing this to happen, would you mind telling me how to replicate it? I'm trying to make event matches with non-selectable outfits that only display during those event matches.
I made this for a Melee styled build, I think you should use it. It's a strap screen that looks like the Gamecube Health + Safety Screen : http://imgur.com/kgVDh0v
This is insanely awesome despite the simplicity. Even if he doesn't use it for this build, I'm most definitely using this in mine.
@AlGeorgeRomo: I was wondering if you wanted me to try my hand at custom stages for your new All Star Mode. I haven't downloaded the pack yet but I assumed your All Star Vision would to be to fight the Yoshi's first and continue like the Adventure Mode pattern am I correct?
Well, I could try to rip some of the adventure models from Melee and then convert them to Brawl stages. Of course this is assuming you would need it.
EDIT: Hm, the file won't download for me. It's a shame , I hope the problem can be fixed soon.
DOUBLE EDIT: Sorry, seems that it is working. Maybe my internet was just messing up for a while. Can't wait to try it out .
Wow! This looks great! If you do need help with anything I can try to help. There are most likely others more qualified to do things like this but I would love to help.
I finished looping it. It was quite a long song and while it would have been easy to loop it at an earlier point I thought it would be better if the whole song played before the loop starts.
Let me know if you like it or if you would want it looped at a different point.
Um, this is going to sound odd, but did you check the SD card lock on the SD card itself? Something similar happened to me because the SD card lock was halfway towards being locked.
Hello SJS I was wondering if you know how to get the default brawl pac files for characters? Been practicing my own CSP's and I was curious to what you used to make yours? Also 10/10 Work you produce, I'm a huge fan and love your stuff!
Do you mean the Default outfits and such? It should be in the resources section of the vault. At the bottom it should show 2 data partitions. The one on the right is PAL and the one on the left is NTSC. Just pick the one you use and search for the files you need.
After we finish the Melee Remastered collection, I'm going to release a full build so you guys can just paste onto your SD cards and play. It won't only be the characters. I'm going to include:
- characters - CSPs and Battle Portraits - stock icons - all the regular N64 Stages - many Melee stages created/imported by many talented artists - stage selection portraits and icons - alternate songs (stages and fanfares) - many other things
Another thing I want to modify is the Classic mode. Specifically the intro screens. I want to replace the Brawl portraits with my renders.
Also, I'd like to change the background colors and re-position the portraits so that it resembles the Melee intro screen.
I've been looking all over the place in Brawl's data partition, but I don't know where to modify these things. If someone knows, please leave a comment or send me a private message. All help is well apreciated.

Wow, fortunately I save everything. Although at this point you've probably already had help with this huh? When I first started hacking Brawl I would frequent this page in case I forgot anything. They have most of what you've asked there except for the whole Melee Setup thing.
Ok, I found the problem. For some reason, all of Link's CSPs were gone and replaced with a Melee Diddy Kong CSP (I have no [censored]ing clue how that happened lol). Post Merge: July 17, 2014, 04:02:04 PMBy the way, are you going to make it so the sounds are like melee's (i.e. the menus, slashing, jabbing, etc.)? P.S. You know that every time Link double jumps with the sound mod, it echos?
That's likely due to the fact that these sounds were probably obtained through the Sound Test in Melee as opposed to a straight game rip. The only game rip I found through online searches isn't up anymore.
Just followed this tutorial using another model and I have to say it came out pretty good! You do need a good quality model for the CSP to come out looking good though.
I even posted a comparison pic, it should be obvious which is the before and which is the after. I'll be using this method whenever I need to create a custom CSP.
I mean, you'd need to download it to see the transparency fixes more clearly. Great tutorial!
