Hey, I know nobody's posted on this topic for a while, but I was wondering if there were any CSS portraits I could download? I have no idea how to make my own; I only started using hacks like 2 weeks ago.
If possible, I'd like to get a name and a portrait for both the selection screen and the display for when you highlight the character. I'm currently using the flaming-blue custom CSS that's on the top downloads, and I'm kinda OCD about getting CSS pictures for all my PSAs. lol
I'm a Gecko user, I have Brawl Minus, and I have a LOT of texture and PSA hacks on almost every character. I'm guessing somewhere along the way, one of the PSA's that required me to input a gct code had a side-effect of Peach losing her voice. Her Final Smash won't even play that tune anymore. I dunno, it might be something else; I'm using the expansion stages (36 of them), I have a lot of stage hacks over the original stages, and I have a couple of item hacks as well.
As of now, I'm using the top-downloaded "Rosaline HD" PSA. Even if I take off that hack and replace it with Peach's original Brawl Minus files, her voice is still gone. Peach not having her voice is annoying (I loved having her say "Hi" and "this is fun" when throwing), but I don't want to lose any of my PSA's for her voice. Is there some gct code I can put in to give Peach her voice back, or at least give her another female character's voice?
I got everything working perfectly! I'm going to add some custom stages to replace the SSE and Trophy stages, but I'm having problems with getting the stages to load different music.
I looked at the instructions, and it tells me to replace "YYYY" in the given code with the appropriate music ID. Where exactly can I find these music IDs? I can't find it anywhere in my README folders. I found an online source with music ids, but they're all 3 digit codes instead of 4 digits.
EDIT: I found the music IDs using Google. Wow, I can't believe I didn't try that first. lol
EDITEDIT: Figured out the font and how to make MenSelmapFrontStname files. Still need help on making pictures look like what Brawl does in the MenSelmapMark files. :O
In that case, can you tell me how to do it? Haha sorry to ask a question on a question topic, but I just recently downloaded the "Classic Expansion Pack 4.0 Gecko+Brawl", and I'm trying to learn how to edit the stage portraits myself. Then again, I don't really need the font in order to get it to work do I? All I want is a picture; either that or just a name so I can identify each stage.
I could just write it down on a piece of paper, but..... it's just not the same. lol
Anyway, I downloaded that new Expansion pack that recently came out, and I'm really enjoying it so far. There aren't any real problems, but I really don't like how the music from the expansion stages leak onto my original stages. I put quite some time into gathering all those brstm files for all my custom and non-custom stages, and I really hate how I won't be able to hear those custom songs half the time because some other song finds it's way onto the stage.
I'm considering removing the music modifier(s) on my gct file so that the stages only play Battlefield's music; that is, if this makes it so that the music won't leak onto my original stages. Going to the Music Settings on the Options menu doesn't help either. For example, I only have 2 songs set for FD, yet other music finds it's way onto FD like half the time.
P.S: Can someone teach me how to edit gct files? I can add codes via GCTedit, but I can't remove any. Also, is there a way to add those really long gct codes without taking like 10 minutes removing asterisks and spaces?
Is it possible to use the flaming dark-blue CSS (with the custom CSS) with Brawl Minus? Since I'm using Brawl Minus, I already have a "RSBE01.gct" file. It seems that I can only get the Custom CSS Codes to work if I rename it "RSBE01.gct", which would replace the one I already have from Brawl Minus. If I do that, the custom CSS works, but it completely takes away the physics of Brawl Minus.
I downloaded "Ocarina Cheat Code Manager", which I think is supposed to be a GCT convertor or something. I don't know how to use it though (I'm completely new to all this). I thought maybe I could just add the Custom CSS Code to Brawl Minus's GCT file, but I have no idea how to go about doing that. For starters, the Brawl Minus "RSBE01.gct" file came pre-packaged and I don't know how to get it in a text-file, nor do I know if that's even necessary. Even if I could get Brawl Minus's "RSBE01.gct" in "code-form", I still don't know how to go about adding the Custom CSS Code and converting it all into a GCT file.
Any help would be appreciated. Please help this noob! I don't know what I'm doing! For now, I'm just using the flaming-blue Normal CSS. It's not as cool though.....
