Shepard's rig is finally finished with rigged fingers and expressions!
I also worked on the textures a bit.


Now onto the bells and whistles...
I'm almost done with my Shepard, but to make it the best it can be, I'm trying to make his armor/suit shiny. I've tried with the normal shine, but it looked too metal-shiny and didn't fit.

^This is what I'm aiming for.^
Any suggestions?

lol I typed my message and clicked post, and left the tab opened without noticing that you posted a reply, so, about the texture

It looks awesome, but his eyebrows and ears look low-res because I resized most of mario's textures because of file size, except the overall and the cap logo, and seems like I made a good choise.

The only thing left for me to do, is finish mario kart/party/golf/tennis/no-brawl-styled texture for yoshi so he fits the original mario and then, you and I would have made a hit!
And an awesome gif csp in the OP like classic tails!

I'll marry you when you spell my name right lol. You can just call me Rain, btw.
And woops, I made some of the textures bigger for better quality... I'll have to reshrink them then. :V

Nice job mate! I know it would mean a re-import, but what about using Kirby's Mario hat as a base for this one? That way, the UVs would be better and such.

Thanks, and Flygon is doing all the importing and stuff. I'm just doing the textures, so if he's willing to re-import it, I'll force him to do it.

Also, congratz 40 pages, Flygon!
Baby Mario's pretty much done now unless Flygon wants to make the changes Pik suggested.

It should work with any model.
What version of BB and 3ds Max are you using?

This tutorial is great!. Thanks to this now I can do little changes to models.
But, when I exported from 3DS Max to Brawlbox, something messes up and it shows me "Index was out of range" error.
What can I do?

I've never gotten that error before. Make sure every polygon has a skin and every skin has all the bones in it.
If that doesn't fix it, could you tell me exactly what changes you made to the model?

Anyway, i'm having a really rough time with rigging Shiki over Peach's boneset.
I had to edit 4 bones for the boneset to work with the model, but that just made the game freeze.
I also tried to edit the model to the bones but that just made Shiki look like she had arms made of rubber or something.
I'm not entirely sure what to do here. It's either rig her over someone else, keep the arms long like that, or edit the fitmotion and boneset to work with her like I have my Ratchet right now.
Whenever something like this has happened to me, it's looked fine in-game.
You could do a quick rig and see how it looks. It's not like someone is examining the models like they do here in-game.
