 AWESOME 2.0! AWESOME 2.0! AWESOME 2.0! AWESOME 2.0! AWESOME 2.0!
Problem Solved!
I found, after much tinkering, that my Common5.pac file was compressed every time I saved it, so that's what was causing the issue! All I did was change the compression of the entire file to none, while all the files within must stay compressed. BADABING, worked like a charm!

Well I'm fairly certain it is not just taking a long time to load, as I've had it on that screen for twenty minutes now and there's still no change whatsoever. Also, I have to hard reset the wii every time it gets stuck on that screen, so it is definately freezing.

On an added note: the .xml I'm using does not require the _en at the end of the common files or the strap loader, as all the other ones don't have it and they work fine. plus, the .xml actual states in the coding that it doesn't require the _en so there ya go.

And, as stated above, I have completely isolated the problem to the Common5.pac. That much is clear.
No Common5= No Problem
Common5=Freezing at loading screen

Please respond, as I could really use the help, thanks!

Well I hate it when:
A.) People in the help section don't do research for an answer
B.) People in the help section don't give enough info for their question
So I'll do neither.
ANYWAYS.....
I've just started changing from Gecko to Riivolution because I found the prospect of new sound effects and custom movies enticing. To start off with, I downloaded the Riivo Starter pack found on Sdo0m's vault (here's a link: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?ByUserID=3668&Moderated=All&facebook=true). After that, I just checked the .xml and started replacing and adding codes and hacks I previously had on my card for Gecko, but in the right spots.

I'm still working out all the bugs, but it wasn't long before I realized that my game would start to freeze at the loading screen (The one with the little spinning SSB logo in the bottom right corner). A lot of questions have been asked about this online already, though, and the answer is usually "GO FIX YOUR F#@$ING INFO.PAC!!!"

There in lies the problem. I have no info.pac to fix. After using a series of trial-by-eliminations, I determined that the freezing will only stop if I remove or disable the Common5.pac. Everything else works, the problem is DEFINATELY with only the Common5.pac. While using Gecko, I used a Sc_selcharacter.pac and Sc_selstage.pac in the menu2 folder. To make the Common5.pac for Riivo, I simply downloaded a clean Common5.pac and replaced the Sc_sel(character/stage)_en.pac's inside with the ones I was using in my old menu2 folder. Afterwards, I deleted the two unnecissary motion files (charizard and squirtle's) to make absolutely sure there was enough room.

Are there any ideas what is going on with my Common5.pac? I would love the freezing to stop, while being able to see my new csp's and ssp's.

1) It can't be my STGRESULT.PAC, since that works just fine at the end of any battle that doesn't involve the goku hack.
2) I use Gecko, so my smashbros_sound.bsrar doesn't even load.
3) I've completely removed Goku's victory music (z10.strm) from my SD card, and the problem still persists.
4) Everything else on my SD card works to perfection.

I've seen people have this problem before, but I've never found it totally resolved. How do you add a Victory/ pose onto an SD Card? I downloaded Jaklub's Goku Moveset V.1 over Captain Falcon and now, everytime he is part of a match, the game crashes at the results screen. I'm fairly certain this is because Goku doesnt have a Victory/ pose, so the game can't load. How can I rectify this situation? I'm sick of restarting the wii everytime I want to play as or against him Im srs here. THANKS!!
