1  Help & Tutorials / Help / Custom ISOs keep causing Crashes on: September 25, 2012, 04:51:17 PM
Hello.  I'm trying to create a custom ISO to use with CFG USB Loader.  I do this because gecko doesn't support replacing smash_sound.brsar.  However, everytime I have used Wii Scrubber to replace this file with a modified one, it has caused certain parts of the game to crash.

The first time I tried it, crashes would happen whenever Mario would appear on stage.

The second time I tried it, it would crash if we used Wolf or Snake or if we picked Windwaker Pirate ship to play on.

Does anybody have any tips on how to prevent my ISO from becoming corrupted/causing crashes when I scrub my image?

I would also like to point out that I ripped the image from a working disc.  The disc has experienced no iso related crashes.  (All crashes beforehand were a result of a bad SD card).

(I have a backup of the original smash_sound.brsar and Super Smash Bros Brawl.iso.  So having to work from scratch is not a problem.)
2  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Project M on: April 24, 2012, 12:47:29 AM
It's the best thing to come out of brawl hacking since you can customize it with stuff from Brawl vault and pretty much play with the Melee engine.
3  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Demise's Stage from Skyward Sword (Work in Progress) on: April 19, 2012, 08:35:34 PM
Here's the trouble.  I don't want to wait for a better brawlbox or for someone to learn about some models.  I also think it would be nice if SOMEBODY had tried to make it without importing from Skyward Sword.

Hello everybody.  I've been waiting for a hack of the area for the final battle between Link and Demise.  But sadly, I hadn't found anything.  So I decided to piece apart other stages and build this work-in-progress.

This is probably not going to get me noticed, and it's definitely not perfect, but it's definitely a start to get the ball rolling.  I'm not a 3d model editor, so I've pushed the limits of what I can do.

Any help would be appreciated, but if you upload this to the site without my permission, I will get you the f*** banned for stealing work.  And here's why:

After a little help and polish, I will upload it with thanks and credits to everybody who helped me.

Here is a link to the current work in progress file.

5  Help & Tutorials / Help / Q: Editing the ISO (Permanently) on: April 11, 2012, 10:17:47 AM
So Most of brawl hacking works simply through a file replacement code with forces the game to check in a different location for the necessary files before defaulting to the disc or backup image.

But, is there a way to permanently hack a modification into the ISO itself?  My friends and I are seriously continuing to hate Brawl's version of Final Destination and various other stages.

So would it work if I decompiled the ISO, replaced Final Des with a hacked version, and recompiled it?
6  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Brawl Vault Problems, Updates, and Suggestions on: October 24, 2011, 12:30:34 PM
I have been noticing that my music contributions as of late have not been showing up to be approved.  Any body else experiencing this?  I spent 20 to 30 minutes getting those together.
7  Help & Tutorials / Help / Simple Texture help on: October 22, 2011, 11:28:26 PM
Hello, I've been using my favorite and original textures with Project M.  But, with marth and Zelda, their textures only load about 40% of the time.  I'm using Gecko OS.  Any ideas?  Any suggestions?

Hello.  How are you doing?

I've been busy uploading some of my BRSTM files from Dance Dance Revolution songs.  Go check them out if you're a DDR Fan.

If there is a DDR song you want, I'll be happy to take requests, either through PM or right here on this thread.  I already have a lot of songs converted, and I don't have all of them up.  So don't be offended if I have to say "I already did that, It's just not up yet."
