Single-Binds is sorta when a object's vertices are fully 1.0 weighted to 1 bone, when rigging. like how most eye polygon objects on some characters are only rigged to and follow the HeadN bone

he brings that up cuz single-binded objects lose their Skin Modifier when imported into 3ds MAX. its easy to spot though since that object will sorta stack under the bone they were weighted to and they're 1.0 rigged. Manually edited normals will have to fixed too

if it doesn't work in the MAX yer using, i could fix his normals, if you want. its a 5 minute fix

thats him while viewing the MLD0 in brawlbox, right? try to export it as .DAE from brawlbox (clicking "Yes" to the weighted normals notice thing) and back into 3ds max. then export it out of 3ds MAX as .DAE and back into brawlbox (notes: in 3ds MAX, make sure to always import stuff from brawlbox in centimeters, to keep the size and all in check. and into a "Reset" scene to keep the rig)

nevermind, Jax beat me to it. i think fixing normals before rigging would cause less issues later

not sure why, that usually resets ALL normals. even those inverted ones that dont fix with a Smooth Modifier

i agree with do0m, da magic users deserve much love. the spells in the Fire Emblems ive played were all flashy, deadly, and seizure inducingly-awesome. i think Ewan over Mario would be kool.. he could use a fireball. and water.. kinda

you have to be careful with blended and semi-transparency. its the reason why lots of brawl models are broken into separate objects and materials (like Marth's hair). its sorta since blended materials eat at other polygons at some angles.. dunno why, i just know some work-arounds

i would suggest having the object that needs blended transparency its own object and material. if thats what you did and its still happening, would you mind sending me a .PAC of it?

i kinda forgot about this guide. i use shaders with better lighting and such now, ill update the 1st post with them when i get the chance

thats some sad news. even though i rarely post in here, i always enjoy catching up in yer thread

i agree with a lot of what others are saying. theres no sense in doing something you dont enjoy anymore, hobbies and free time should be fun and sometimes even a niice escape from a hectic life

anyway, i really hope things straighten out for you. i'll be seeing yuh around

niice work Alba     both costumes on Mia look great and the texture buff SJS gave Nephenee looks pretty sweeet. her armors and what-not have a much better shade and color to em. reminds me, i still need to get on that one "report" for you

Speaking of that, when are you gonna add the shine materials, like you did for Metal Sonic?
yeh     i actually thought you didnt want to since you didnt reply to that one PM awhile ago. we'll see who it will be

about X, i was going to redo him at some point. he would have these material effects and the other things he is missing. thats the PSA version in those screens though, he has extra bones and stuff that Team Hero and Team Jiggy needed (like the 2nd hand). i dont know how to make a size mod, someone else would have to do that.. uh-

I still have the size mod you made for the original vertex.
-didnt see that there     would it work on my X import?  (still dont know exactly how these things work)

wh00t    its niice to see this beast released to the wild. yer hard work is appreciated. im sure lots of PSA'ers are tryin it out, thats the biggest update to it.

what kind of things are new/fixed for model importing?   by da way, what happened to the .txt that was in 0.65c that you used to log changes and new things? it was kinda neat looking that thing over

about error reporting, i think for at LEAST a day or 2 people should play around with it and then write down any problems they find to later PM or post about. in that amount of time, they might end up finding the fix themselves and could report da fix to BlackJax. that could also help the clutter of posts reporting errors 1 by 1. im sure that would help reduce BlackJax's stress by at least 1%

hey    havent heard from you in awhile. thats kool to hear dude. i put 114% on them and i think they came out good.

thats a niice shot there, background looks like some supernova. kinda tempted to use it for da Vault

@CloudinaDress - wuh?     never knew he wore dresses (ive only seen the Advent Children movie and seen cloud in Kingdom Hearts, never played the original game). if someone is actually.. serious on making that, they should use Peach as a base. ive said too much already

@Seg - wh00t     thank you for KH cloud's CSP

@Hero - its kinda a tie on those two, theyre both favorites of mine. i cant really work on neither of them though. the one i could.. kinda work on is Fayt except i want to wait for mariokart on, hopefully, making a script. i could get his sword and other costumes, T-posed, that way. and then Tapion is over at a factory, beyond my reach

uploading a minor update for cloud. dont think anyone has noticed yet but the metal and culls were messed up on KH cloud. the annoying part is i literally spent hours fixing and wondering why the metal were messing up (the cape's scarf area didnt wanna follow the camera) only to delete and upload the wrong .pac file. the cape just kept finding ways to annoy me

niice hacks in here. i actually downloaded a lot of these back when i wasnt a member and mindlessly downloaded stuff (without checking description or who made it)

da new stage looks pretty kool. the setting looks interesting. is there a way to edit the camera to sorta be angled and "look down"? that could fix that "fence in da way" issue. it could be a ALT since the camera wont be much of a issue in 4 player matches with everyone spread out. either way, im gonna try it out next time i brawl

thats a big list there, they all sound pretty sweeet. ive seen previews of the first 3.. i think

c'mon, that doesnt look "bad" at all, Alba. looks pretty great for yer first. remember, it literally cant be perfect. even Nintendo's clip here and there. some even clip horribly (look at Marth's neck while charging his side SMASH). they were smart though, the restricted camera hid all of it      ..and uh, are you really banned?

Thany, are you using the newest brawlbox? i ask cuz it looks like Roy gots that problem the old brawlbox's brought up, a side of his normals looks inverted

Lucina looks much more complete, now with actual hair, and im eager to see how Spirit Roy turns out. is Krom on yer to-build list too, Vert?

@Ninka - im replaying it for 3DS too. i really liked the story and its still pretty challenging on the harder difficulties. mostly cuz i cant play with my brothers for the boss battles anymore, the multiplayer was scrapped (and the AI arent that bright). anyway yuuup, i dont know how to UV from scratch either, still learning too. whenever you are up to it, PM me and ill get the models sent

@chaos_knight9000 - actually, i remember you askin it in here awhile ago. i replied and then, sometime later, quote replied in case you missed it. Yes, i have thought about it. i got all his models and such from DemonBoy months ago. dunno when he will come since i got the Sora design i liked more out but i will work on it, eventually

havent heard back from mariokart about his Star Ocean progress. the two i want to work on most right now are Fayt and Tapion. ill be messing with models, meanwhile
