I tried the automatic polgon remover and it didn't do jack [censored]. I followed the instructions exactly and all the buildings on corneria r still there

Bummer!  You should upload the file and post it on the thread as a bug report.

On topic:  how's the Temple modification coming, guys?  With BrawlBox's new features, it should be much easier to implement, I imagine.

I have a job for someone. How about Corneria with no buildings? Polygons 4-19, polygons 31-88, and polygons 92-106 have to be removed.

Here!  You can use this to do that, easy.

4  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: Dhragen's important message board teaser for the year 2010 on: January 17, 2010, 10:00:39 AM
I'm glad to hear you're still doing texture work, Dhragen, even if it's less than before.  Suffice to say, your Zero texture was pretty much why I made the PSA.  (as such if you want to revamp it, I would probably appreciate that more than most Tongue)

Anyway, keep up the good work!  You've made some of the best textures I've seen, even without the revamps.

Nice Sheikah Link!  You should use the flat shield hexed file over at that one thread.  (Assuming it works)

Sorry, I don't actually know how to properly edit common5 for CSPs.  You may want to scrap the common5 and go without them.

@Eldiran, did you try vertex zeroing?

I'm afraid I didn't...  I'm actually not sure what that means.  If it means replacing the polygon data with 0s, then I thought that was what the program did.  Checking the hex just now, it seems to actually replace it with a bunch of FFFFFFFF.  At least... there are very large bunches of FFFFFFFF in there, so I'm assuming.

...basically, I don't actually know what I'm doing.  I know how to do manually what the program does (assuming it just replaces polygon data with Fs), and I know how one is _supposed_ to be able to edit vertices by translating the vertice data to 3ds... unfortunately my computer won't run Anim8or properly, so I can't do that myself just yet.

So, um... what is vertex zeroing?

EDIT: On the off-chance it helps, here is the download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?uhyujz5zdmq

By the way, sorry for asking for help when I don't really know how to do this stuff.  I feel bad about it.

IMPORTANT EDIT
: It seems the problem may have been solved by SqLeon.  We'll see if it applies to what happened with Jigglypuff.

Aye, I used that program.

Well, according to SqLeon, the maker of the program,

Quote
I tried removing it, got the same effect, then removing it on both the pac and pcs, got the same effect, then tried hexing it off, got the same effect, tried hexing it off of the polygon file itself, got the same effect, still more trial and error left, will post if I fix it.

He was working with a similar glitching error with Ness' backpack, but it is probably the same issue.

I had a random idea I'm surprised no one suggested -- Tail-less Pikachu.  I don't think it is covering anything.

Also, I have a problem I'd like to ask for assistance regarding.  I have removed all of Jigglypuff's polygons in an attempt to make her invisible, but there is one small issue.

That is left over.  It behaves fine, no glitching, etc... but I still need to eliminate that.  I figure you guys must have faced this problem at some point -- is it possible to overcome?  And, if so, could you help me do it?

Here is all the info I have; a theory for this kind of glitching was proposed by fortwaffles at Smashboards:

Quote
From what I found, this glitch is from the same polygon being attached to more than 2 bones. Think of this, the polygon remover just moves all verices to 0,0,0 that is relative to the bone. so say you have an arm (connected to two bones) the vertices are moved to 0,0,0 in two spots, both arm bones. that would make an invisible line (invisible because it's ! dimensional) now when we have 3 or more bones, those 3 points are connecting to each other to make a 2-D (or 3-D if more than 3 bones) polygon. the only way i can think of would be to find what vertices are referenced by what bones, and re-reference them to one.
hope this cleared stuff up
10  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Playable WarioMan on: January 01, 2010, 12:20:31 PM
Sorry for the double post, but I have a bug report: these Warioman costumes are often unable to hit their opponents with their pummel.  I believe there are also problems using Bite.

I don't believe this is fixable, but I thought I'd make it known.

after the safety screen my game freezes
is my Phantom Wings code too old or something?

any ideas?

More details are needed to help... what other codes do you have on?  Do any other codes work?  Which version of File Replacement are you using?  What files are you trying to replace?

Ooh, or just the top part!  That would be amazing.

That is a fantastic Monkey -- I finally have my first Diddy texture!  Good work on the high quality stuff.

Sweet!  Although I would also prefer to use the other cool stages floating around rather than another FD, this is still awesome because:

Complete removal of polygons. The platforms are no longer tangible.

The implications of this are likely to be extremely awesome.  Jack and Stickman, please elaborate on what exactly this entails!
15  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: Pre-Hexed PAC Files - *12/24* - A whole bunch of new ones. :D on: December 26, 2009, 01:08:05 PM
Stickman and I have finally made a major breakthrough in model hexing. We're stingy and proud about it, so don't expect any guides on how to do what we did, and don't expect us to teach you. Grin

We'll release it just before the new year. Wink

!!

Awesome!

As long as the guides show up soon after that...!  Tongue
