Since writing that reply, I made brand new ones after having Packed the UV's to fit 1024x1024 templates (the original UVs' wouldn't render) Got him looking like this:
I think he looks much better than I had him looking before. I have GOT to learn how to lower poly counts properly...
A lot better but he could still use some work, want to send him to me after you've done the rig? I'm assuming you're having to re-rig him right?
Is that Kyle Katarn from the Star Wars games? :O I also don't care if Brawl hacking isn't what it once was, I know I'll be using it for a long time because it's how I make my animations, weird process I know but it works, plus Brawl Hacking is almost at the point of Super Mario World hacking where anything is possible so I know there'll be people making hacks for this for years from now. Will this forums still be popular by then, don't know, I can see this becoming like Jul Hacking Forums where you have only a few members posting tutorials and answers to questions, but oh well. I still enjoy making Brawl Hacks...sometimes it feels more like a chore but I do still enjoy them. Just don't get as much time to work on anything now that I'm in college so my slow rate of getting stuff down is now even slower. Post Merge: October 04, 2015, 03:10:51 PMHey Bad Box Art Mega Man, happy now? lol Still waiting on Program to reply back to my PM on Chica, so I decided to start Freddy since I had free time this weekend, rig is complete, now to optimize him, add expressions and apply his materials & shaders before doing the recolors and all of that. Oh and the Golden Freddy version of course. lol
Because DK's eyelids aren't modeled, they're just part of his eye materials, the eyelid & eye models would have to be deleted and use DK's eyes, though because his aren't modeled completely (why bother leaving the backside if you should never be able to see it), you'd have to edit the eyes to have more to them without messing with the UV so the materials can be used to have the eyelid and eye movement.
Dropbox doesnt deal with copyright stuff, its mostly because they cant handle so much traffic for free accounts. Thats why I use deviantart now
Well I got an email saying they got a complaint from the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) regarding my Super Mario Choir 64 zip folder and requested me to remove it off Dropbox. They also have a "Terms of Service and Copyright Policy", so they deal with copyright now, though it's probably only when sharing the file with other people as apposed to just having the file on dropbox, either way, SM64, OoT & SMW are the only games I've ever shared links with and they're over 15 years old as apposed to links to a full Wii game or something. :/
Your dropbox links are broken due to high traffic. I'd really like to download some of your mods. You should try using a different site like Mediafire.
I did use mediafire over two years ago, links started being taken down for "copyright" although I wasn't uploading whole games or anything like, probably just the naming system I was using which was including the name of the game the model was from. Apparently my links are banned at the moment because of a hack I did for Super Mario 64 to change all of the songs to use Mario's sound bank (Super Mario Choir 64 is one of my most popular videos, such a simply thing yet everyone loves that more than my other stuff *confused*), going to have to look into seeing if I can make that a ppf patch to upload as apposed to just uploading the rom. Was most likely flagged because the only thing that was changed was the music, everything else was the same besides also having a version with Staraxxon/Vl-Tone's Luigi model. Sure it says too much traffic, but I got an email about the file so idk if both are a problem or if the "too much traffic" is a coverup for what really is the problem. I deleted the file and the email said that the links would be fixed if I removed the file in question so I guess wait and see if the links are fixed over the next day or so. If not, probably will have to look into either making another account that is paid and thus can handle more downloads & bandwidth, or look into some other website. Didn't know that Dropbox actually dealt with copyright, will have to be more careful about my SM64 hacks as I never looked into making ppf patches and don't know what the limits are. SM64 hacking is one of the first things I started doing regarding YouTube and just hacking in general, God I miss 2010 & 2011 where I could focus on just one thing which at the time was SM64, now I'm spread way too thin with just Brawl hacking alone, then throw in the other things I do on YouTube.
Anyone remember this hack? (It has been over a year. )
After learning how to successfully get shp0 (vertex morphing) to work (he was crashing the game last year), and learning how to make textures in my game design classes, I've given him a texture update. Old Texture:
Okay, I'm basically done with Melee Peach, just need to apply the Melee Umbrella textures to the other costumes and insert the new models into the Project M 3.6 FitPeachMotionEtc.pac and then release her. I'm including the Recolored Brawl Umbrella as a Wifi-safe version as I don't know if replacing models & textures in a motion file desyncs wifi (I would assume not since I didn't change any bones) I did add a pat0 file to give Melee Toad his hurt face, don't know if that'll desync it as well. :/
Been a while since I last shown Melee Peach, here are the Dark & Fake versions for Subspace for both the Peach and Daisy Outfits. This time I actually went ahead and got the CSPs, Battle Portraits & Stock Icons out of the way, whats left is importing the Melee Umbrella & Toad.
Well when I look at your model and then your avatar picture, there's a clear difference between the colors, maybe look at the RGB values? I know that almost everyone sees colors differently (which is where you get those kind of "it's actually this color, no it's this color" arguments), but you can't see numbers differently (unless you have a reading problem which is completely different) so I suggest looking at the RGB values every now and then to double check that the color is what you think it is. I hope I didn't offend you or anything or come off as a jerk or something, just trying to be helpful. Oh and when I said "you" I meant people in general and not specifically you. Rather not get that common misunderstanding. For detail, how good I am at making a texture more detailed depends on the mapping and what generic detailed-textures I can find on Google. I am taking video-game related classes this semester in college, and in one of them we're using a bit of photoshop so hopefully I'll get better. The reason I say this is so you know to not expect amazing work, I might get a really good-looking texture, or I might only be able to make some parts of it better. Either way, send the textures via PM and I'll help.
