Just tried unchecking the box again, got the same results. It didn't crash, but the image was severely jacked up, plus I noticed something new. I'm trying to replace mario2_big. Once I put in my CSP, mario2 was all jacked up, but then if I keep scrolling towards mario3 there's a weird missingno type thing with just dotty lines, then mario3, like it's creating an extra CSP between mario 2 and mario3. Very strange.
I'm trying to learn how to make my own CSPs, and I've been following the excellent guide produced by a member of this site.
I'm using Gimp, and all is well, except when I finally get to saving my tga I get a prompt about what RLE compression I want. This prompt wasn't given in the tutorial. The options are basically not to do RLE compression, to compress in upper left, or to compress in lower left. I've tried all three ways and each time my CSP ends up mutilated in game and once it caused the game to give me the screech of death.
I've successfully put in CSPs made by others so it's nothing wrong with Cupash, it must be something about the way I'm saving. Anyone else have this problem and can help with a solution? Any help is much appreciated!
I'm trying with several stages, all based on Waiting Room, and none of them even have the item_ef files. Bleh... Again, though thanks a lot for trying.
So I'm attempting to get Dantarion's and Almas' alt. stage loader code to work, but whenever I put it on my SD card and load the game thru Gecko I get a screen saying some kind of error (I believe a "file exception" or something similar) then scads of code.
Here's the code I'm using, I'm trying to set up 4 stages to different button inputs (L+A, R+A, ZR+A, ZL+A) and the only other codes I'm using are the Brawl+ codeset with no major alterations (just a different CSS) Here's the code...
I kind of think I probably just screwed up on the hex values, but it seems like that would just cause the code to not work, not to completely prevent the game from loading. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, but I've tried that several times with files from several other stages and it doesn't work.
I'm trying to do this to a SSE stage based on the Training Room, not the actual training room itself. I don't know if that could be the problem, I can't see how it would be.
Are you sure there isn't another file that causes the sandbag spawning? It was my impression that the item file you mentioned controlled where normal items spawned on the level, but I would think that the WWR sandbag would be different since it just continuously spawns in the same place whenever it's destroyed. Maybe the file you mentioned would have a part in it, but I would think there's something else causing it to behave in it's specific way as opposed to a normal item.
