After seeing the Dream Team Trailer I thought some one should do this but the more I think about it, what's the real difference between them?

The Superstar Saga Luigi is a little taller, skinnier, and has shorter pants.
As compared to normal Luigi.

I'm making a stage import from Skyward Sword; the place where you fight Ghirahim for the first time.
My question here is how to emulate the way the game displays textures, without the watercolor effect, of course.
For reference: I have this file, Link's diffuse shader.
When Imported to Brawl, it looks like this, with a strange overlay pattern on it.

Any ideas on how I can make that look like SS's models?
[Note:] Skyward Sword uses Version 11 MDL0 files.

EDIT: Not to mention...does SFX hacking via BBox require you to use Riivolution, like SAWNDZ? Or is it Gecko-compatible? I apologize if these questions are better suited for the "Help" section, but they seemed to be pretty good general-knowledge questions. And I don't think they merit a whole thread to themselves. :/
Riivo is used for brsar hacks, so just use that.

Nifty how lighting can make such a huge different in quality. *shrugs shoulders*
Just look at Mario Kart Wii, all of those files are terribly low poly, the lighting just makes them look pretty.
