when i make one of these it always loads into bbox looking corrupted.
Have you tested it in-game yet? Make sure you've got the latest version of BrawlBox, and check your file sizes. Brawl tends to mess up when the sc_selmap_en PAC file is over its allowed size. Speaking of which, I re-discovered that the NTSC file also has the "_en" on the end of it. Whoops! I wish someone would convert this into a TrueType font....
I also tried this shortly after finishing work on the font, but eventually decided that I really didn't feel like chopping the image up into 87 separate images and then setting various typographic properties for every single one of them. Too much hassle for something you could just copy & paste instead. If enough people ask for it, I'll try to give it another go, but turning the raster-image letters into scalable vector graphics tends to warp them in hideous ways.

Oh my god.
I never knew about Resolution Trigger until this update. The album is made of sunshine and happiness. I melted into a puddle of euphoric goo while listening to it.
It's really hard to type with fingers made of goo, Vyse. You caused this.
The only cure for my condition is to get BRSTMs for the other songs on the album, and then put them into my Winamp playlist. Will you be looping them, or should I take a daring stab at it? I need an answer quickly, because my legs are oozing dangerously close to the room's furnace vent.

my sc_selmap was to how do i fix it? Reduce the quality of the edited images in your PAC. Open the PNGs with Photoshop, save as a separate PNG file, and lower the quality slider when saving the new file. This can drastically reduce the file's size, but might make the images look like baked [censored], so be careful.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Complete Stage Select Screen Font: PAL users rejoice!

*click the picture for the BrawlVault full-size download* BeyondYou made the original Brawl Stage Alphabet (in his thread here), but it only had capital letters and numbers. The PAL version of Brawl uses lowercase letters in the stage names on the SSS. I decided to fix the problem and turn the alphabet into a completed font with the addition of symbols and punctuation marks. The lowercase letters were snagged from PAL Brawl (except for j, q, and x), and all of the other symbols/punctuation was made from scratch by me. Only three things are missing: the dollar sign (won't be used by PAL folks much anyway) and curly braces/brackets (you can use normal parentheses instead of those). Instructions:Here's some examples of stuff you can do with this font:

why not replace a metakinght WITH metakight? Like make our own metaknight! This is so crazy it might work!
"Hey guys, we heard you like Meta Knight, so we replaced Meta Knight with Meta Knight to give you twice as much Meta Knight." Any of the comprehensive Brawl mods out there will do exactly what you described. Would you like Brawl+ Meta Knight or Brawl- Meta Knight with your game today? Perhaps we could interest you in a lovely Project M Meta Knight? Oh, what's that, you say? You'd prefer the Balanced Brawl Meta Knight? Excellent choice sir, I'll have our associate ring one up for you straight away.

Important Notice: All of my BRSTM's are seamless. Do you walk around with your shirt and pants inside-out? No, because the seams show and they are ugly. Many songs on Smashboards don't bother to hide the seams at all; they wait until the song has come to its natural conclusion and faded out before looping back to the song's beginning. This leaves conspicuous gaps of silence between the song's end and beginning, which can be a distraction during Brawl matches. It is a bad practice, I am tired of it, I bet YOU'RE tired of it, and if I hear any more songs that I enjoy get treated this way over there, I will remove the seam and submit the song here. This has been a public service announcement on behalf of Brawlers For Musical Excellence. We will now return you to your regularly-scheduled program. So what's this thread about?By this point, every video game BGM under the sun has been looped into a BRSTM and released, either here or at Smashboards. But what about the wonderful world of Remixes? Every day, musicians with unparalleled creative talent are constantly re-envisioning your favorite video game songs and then releasing them to the internet for free. Sometimes you can hear a song you liked be interpreted in a new and interesting way; other times a song you hated winds up sounding pretty cool with some tweaks and alterations. Remixes can run the entire musical gamut of genres, but in case you couldn't tell from the thread title, I enjoy one genre in particular. Whether it is Classic, Alternative, Punk, New Age, Electronica, or Metal, I love Rock (and it loves you). It won't be my exclusive focus in this thread, since I also like other genres, but I feel rock in its many permutations is an excellent fit for a fighting game like Brawl. So grab your axe and bust a riff, ladies and gentlemen, 'cause I built this house on rock and roll. 4/22/2010: Super Mario Galaxy4/21/2010: Star Wars4/20/2010: Sonic TuesdaySonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3Sonic 1Sonic 2Sonic 3Sonic & KnucklesSonic AdventureSonic Adventure 2Sonic Rush4/19/2010: Super Mario 644/18/2010: Miscellaneous4/17/2010: Chrono Trigger4/9/2010: Mega Man ZX4/6/2010: Miscellaneous4/5/2010: Mario Kart4/4/2010: Hatsune Miku / EarthBound4/2/2010: Mega Man X4/1/2010: April Fools!3/31/2010: Zelda (Ocarina of Time)3/30/2010: Super Mario Galaxy3/29/2010: Sonic CD / Zelda (Wind Waker)

Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: how do you convert .thp to .pac?

You could also directly replace Brawl's .THP file with your custom one in WiiScrubber and use the ISO with a backup loader, if you wanna go that route. I wouldn't recommend it though, Riivolution is way easier to use.

Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Ike/Naruto/Cloud?
|

You can have as many Ike costumes as you want; Ike can be the default costume, Cloud can be the green costume, Naruto can be the yellow costume, et cetera. But you can only have one moveset. If you want to use Cloud's custom moveset or Naruto's custom moveset, you will have to replace Ike's "FitIke.pac" file, and doing that will affect all costumes; if you use Cloud's moveset, for example, then the normal Ike costume and the Naruto costume will move like Cloud.
So yes, if you want a custom moveset you will probably have to give up Ike. Even worse, you'll probably have to choose between Cloud and Naruto. If you don't care about the moveset, then you can go nuts replacing costumes with model hacks and texture hacks.
