1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Anyone know anything about rel editing? on: September 23, 2019, 03:49:31 PM
More specifically, I'm trying to figure out how lucarios defensive collisions connecting to a hitbox is recognized by the game. - I'm told its found in the rel.

I want to have mewtwos defensive collisions recognized. They are different compared to lucarios in that they reflect rather than put the character into a counter animation. But since one type of defensive collision can put lucario into counter, the reflector collisions must be somehow recognizable similarly.

I know falco in PM had changes made to him in order to make his reflector activate a short animation when something has been reflected. I'm not sure if that was built into his rel like fox, but if not, then someone made a change to his rel.

So does anyone know where this coding can be found in an rel and how it can be altered? Can anyone look at an rel to make comparisons and find what was changed?

I hope this is the right place to ask this..

I'm trying to re position where the character names show up below the character portraits in the character selection screen. To be clear here's an example. When you choose mario and the big portrait shows up at the bottom of the screen, just above the player number at the very bottom of the portrait the character name is shown. I would like to reposition this properly.

The thing is, I actually have successfully repositioned the names, but unfortunately the colour is off. They look kinda grey now instead of white. It kind of also seems like they show up blurry/like theres a double image. This isnt actually very clear so im not actually sure if the colour is off or if there are 2 images showing up, its just weird... But either way im clearly missing something, so what do I need to do?

I dont know if this happens to anyone else or if anyone knows of this issue, but when i use the cell shaded hack of toon link in delphino plaza, his textures get all screwed up n glitchy..

any idea why or how i could fix this?

So ive heard there is a newer version of the fs with no smash ball code (when you do xxx damage you get your final smash). is this true??

Kayy so, im having trouble using the character/costume codes. Im trying to change up each individual costume for a bunch of character so that i can choose particular costumes in the css and load different ones in game..

Simplest example i can give is this.. lets say we take samus. I want to choose her second costume, but have the game load her third costume in fight.

i tried using these codes, but then the game would just freeze,
so does anyone know how to use them properly?

Hey guys so I'm trying to edit lucarios aura sphere so that it will aim downwards at an angle when you're in the air. Does anyone here have any idea of how to do that?
I have no idea where to start or what to edit. Ive looked through the annimations, and I assume i need to edit the airNend and AirNShoot, but i dont know what all the stuff in there means.

Can anybody help?
