31  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [16?] on: July 03, 2013, 08:54:01 PM
So is your Project M working? Also I'm trying to use character skins as well, but they all have .pcs and .pac files. Mine keeps freezing
Yes! It's working perfectly. for the stage select map. Did you place the sel_map file in the cBliss pack into your menu2? DON'T do that. Delete it to be able to use PM select stage.  BUT you do need to replace these files. They're in the common5 file in the system folder.
-MiscData[40] [StockIcons]
-PAT= MenSelmapPlayer1_TopN [On MiscData[20]] [Pattern File for StockIcons]
-PAT= MenSelmapPlayer2_TopN [On MiscData[20]] [Pattern File for StockIcons]
-PAT= MenSelmapPlayer3_TopN [On MiscData[20]] [Pattern File for StockIcons]
-PAT= MenSelmapPlayer4_TopN [On MiscData[20]] [Pattern File for StockIcons]

First, though. You must export those files from the common5 you got for cBliss.
The MiscData[40] is visible after opening the sc_selmap_en in the common5. Right click it and use "Export". The other four files are in the MiscData[20]. Then you have to go down and expand AnmTexPat(NW4R) and Export them individually. Then go into the common5 file you'll be using for Project M and, instead of Exporting them, Replace them.

Are your .pcs and .pac files the same size? If so then open them in BrawlBox and save them as a .pair. That'll properly compress one of them and they'll be different sizes.
If they are different sizes then I don't know what to suggest.

I really hope I got my stuff right here. I'm not exactly an expert with this stuff.. But this is what I did so it should work.

Has anyone using P:M got this to work and have the project m character selection screen available?
I swear I followed the directions exactly.
First I tried following the "To use your own SSS" directions and nothing changed. Then I tried leaving it alone like Project M & cBliss directions suggest and it again stayed vBrawl.
Edit: figured it out. I forgot to delete the sel_map from one of the menu files. But that was a me problem.

I have a request but I feel bad. You seem pretty backed up...
Thanks for doing all these, Taiko. Especially with such quality.
I was hoping for Winter Wear Ness. He's here.

I really like the black on white gloves for Sonic. But only when they have that cool reflect effect...
I have an idea which probably sounds weird and is wrong.
So. That reflection/shine/whatever on the model gives Sonic's entire body a weird shine, right? Isn't it entirely one color? (Like blue or something, right?) If that's so then we need to subtract that color from the shoe texture. Because then the coating the model has would add that color back in.
Sorry if I made no sense.

For Link. He really needs to be darkened up some. I liked how Maritime was SO blue. I think it'd work for Mars Link as well. As it is it just looks bland. Which I seem to recall is the opposite goal of the this project. I want to say I like the hair... But something seems off. Maybe tone down the darker red and keep it around the edges of the locks and the ends? The red in the roots looks really bad.

Very nice SJS! These came just in time for me. I started setting up my files for cBliss.

This is kinda fun to watch.

This isn't exaaaactly on topic... But it was posted in this thread earlier. And that Captain Falcon reminded me of it.
Whatever happened to this Captain Falcon? I loved the design so much.

Jdaster has a post right under the first four. If he's up to it they could maintain a page.

I'm really not liking either of those. Both characters are hard to change.

SJS has made a P:M Purple Marth. Just throw that one in that spot?

Wow. That's really sad. His work was amazing. Oh well.
And sorry for posting an already known issue.

I'm digging it! Though I must ask. Is it judt me or is the lighting on his arm randomly coming from the opposite direction?

Maritime Samus and ZSS previews seem to be deleted?

Gotta agree with joke king. Old one is far superior. Feels much more mars-y.
Nice job on R.O.B.
