That is hilarious, not gonna lie

Yeah, we need to stop the "me first!" attitude with Smash 4 imports, you aren't getting street cred if you rush stuff out

Haha, it's awesome to see Marth as a hard-hitter

Oh, my bad. The newer one is even more accurate but still not pastel enough. Too saturated and dark, I think.

Almost, but the color isn't quite there yet. I also realized your yarn formation is going in the opposite direction from the actual one, so fix that if you want to. I'd say color is more priority though.

don't mind the scribbles, lol

Mario's getting better, for sure. I'd say make his buttons more gold and less white.

If only there was a way to make his red clothing look as soft as it does in-game... Without it, it looks kind of unimpressively textured/too bright. But that's a limitation with the lighting engine...

Yeah, now it's a bit too saturated, but in the right direction. Keep comparing it to the actual Yarn Yoshi until it matches.

Good to see some more custom stuff here! That's what the modding scene needs.

Anyway, in my spare time I've been working on upping the resolution of X's textures.

@Nanobuds
Sure dude, no problem!
I think to just keep editing the diffuse texture would be your only option - We both know from experience that Normal maps can't run in Brawl's engine, and they're the bread and butter of Smash 4 models. Perhaps keep comparing the Mac import to his in-game model until it matches?

Both of those guys are normally great submitters, but their Smash 4 character imports still don't look how they're quite supposed to - it's not their fault. Nano did a bunch of material work on Mac, but it still looks kinda dry. Same with Falcon, IMO. (Their rigs are good as usual, though)

DSX8's stages look pretty great, like the Wily Castle progress he just posted.

That is, if the textures can manage to look good. It's clear that they aren't built for this engine at all.

The only successful Smash 4 imports so far are the assist trophies, since their texturing is better suited for the Wii. (edit: stages are good too, though)

I dunno, these Smash 4 models don't really run well with the lighting engine. They look bleached or something without all their maps correctly applied.

Smash 4 stages fit more because they have more traditional texture technique, same with Smash 4 assist trophies.

‘‘You’ve met with a terrible fate, haven’t you?’‘

Sorry about that quote I got bored, anyway

young link, the last and final costume for the HW link pack. will be a size mod over link. he's going over link because I want modeled expressions, and toon link doesn't have those. all that's left to do is make his MM hero shield, add straps to the deku shield, give him a sheath, add expressions, and maybe some optimizations. current progress for the pack is that OoT link and SS link both are completed and lag free, currently working on TP link so that he can be the same.

My old Young Link has been outmatched! Nice man.

I gave the kid his cheek blush back.

A simple edit, but man, I've always wanted to do this...

Yeah man, it looks really good with the textures.
