Well ,there not many change in the most of the background textures. But the cars, the ground, the road, the posters, the taxis, the trees, the roofs, the dust box, the hospital and some more textures have been improved with more definition. Anyway, it's only a suggestion.
I used the mountain texture and the trees from the Wii U version. The other things you mentioned have I already done or going to do.
I thought about doing Onett, and I began with the trashcan.
This is the first time I'm trying to recreate something in HD. So it maybe doesn't look that good, I don't know. I want to make it with a "EarthBound feel" like in the original game. I dunno how to explain, but I think you get it. Give critique I guess.
I'll PM you for now but I may make a tutorial type thread in the future.

Update Time! So I'm working on two HD 64 stages and I wanted to post I pic of how Yoshi's story is going. Yes, I know Theyta already made an HD Yoshi's, however, his is an altered stage and he didn't remake the fruit tree.
I edited an old Konata Izumi hack (it isn't up anymore, I had it since 2012 or something). But.. oMG the troubles I had, it frozed my Wii 24 / 7. I'm so happy it's done (well I rly hope that), I'M FREE. I'm thinking of doing recolours... and yeah it has a 1-slot MotionEtc too.
The specmap on the Wii U one is like in the center, but the Brawl one is very high up. I really like your work though. You're only using BrawlBox, right?
