Made it myself with the ProjectM glasses as a base. I'll release it soon, together with the rim lighting characters I'll release next time.

Wait, wasn't there already a Squirtle Squad Squirtle on the vault?  Or am I missing something?

You need the Riivolution "ocarina.xml" and "codehandler.bin" in your riivolution folder on the root of your SD card.

Haha yea i tried to copy and past you the link here but dropbox wouldn't let me, although that was my first time ever using dropbox haha and i gotta say that program is very handy with files. Smiley

Oh yea, I knocticed that the Classic Expansion Pack download had MiscData(140).msbin in it, but in the instructions it didn't list anything about it, like where does it suppose to go or whatever.

I'm sure you missed some mention of where the file is to be inserted, but I'll get that straightened out for you, no worries.

Could you upload your entire SD card?  I don't have everything I need to see what could be wrong.  I've noticed you had a GCT in the riivolution folder, and there was a riivolution folder inside the riivolution folder.

Kinda hard to tell what's wrong when I don't have a full view.  Just try uploading to another site if Dropbox is giving you trouble.

There SHOULD be a Riivolution folder inside the apps on the root of the SD card, and there should be a GCT file in the "sd:/Gecko/codes/" folder, according to your .XMLs you have sent me.  Also, I can't be too sure about this, but some of the XMLs look out of date, or are incomplete or something.

Oh thank you Cheesy ok i had uploaded everything in my SD Card by using dropbox and sent them to your yahoo account Smiley

Oh, okay.  I would have found it earlier if you PMed the link to my account here, but thanks for letting me know at all.  I'll be sure to get to it.

yea I guess so, Undecided mannn im such a [censored]ing noob

How about I take a look at your SD card setup?  If you want, you can upload it and PM me the link.

It's kinda hard for me to help you when I know just about as much as a newborn baby about what you have altogether, and sifting through directories is actually easier for me, so I can see the full scope of what I could do to help.

So, zip up the files in your SD card or what you plan to use on your SD card, upload, PM, and I'm likely better able to help you.

Mediafire has been nice to most of us, but it's ridiculous what it's done to other modders.

The modders whose files have less exposure... and are not maintained... Yeah, hacks are gonna be lost when no one downloads them.
22  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Ban Mediafire-Use Dropbox on: May 16, 2013, 11:03:09 AM
You guys use whichever you want, but there is no way the recommended one will be one seldom people use. So, at the moment, the recommended one well be between:

mega.co.nz
Dropbox
Box.net
Skydrive

As these are stable and the most known. I'm inclined to go for Dropbox.

Be prepared to upgrade to premium in Dropbox if you plan on hosting more than a few files.

Solidfiles and Mega.co.uk are the ones I favor, since they both allow 50 GB of free storage (and in the case of Soldfiles, each upload can have a max filesize of 100 MB, and they stay true to their slogan, "Hosting files, without the bull[censored]").

I'll be shocked if I ever saw another file-sharing site with such a bold stand on file moderation and distribution.

But geez, didn't I bring up the fact that Mediafire was pulling this stunt for a while now?  Was everyone really unaware such things going on?

Look at it this way... Mediafire is an American hosting site, if I recall correctly.  That means it's afraid of the American government shutting it down like they did to Megaupload.

Mediafire is also making a business of this, so if they see file they even suspect a file violates their already-iffy terms of service, they take it down, or if they don't get many hits on an upload files page, they take it down, since it costs more to host a file that has only a few hits than it does to find a file that is widely distributed with more hits, which means higher likelihood to click ads.

Of course, higher exposure leads to higher risk, which ties back to suspected copyright infringement.  In addition, higher bandwidth is used when more people migrate from one site to another.  Everyone was all about Megaupload, it got shut down, so Mediafire is going to be paranoid when it's the next most popular file-sharing site.

If people didn't try the things EVERYONE tries, then it'd be less likely that Mediafire would have ants in the pants about all this copyright crap which they cannot prove one way or another without downloading files to confirm, which, if they suspect it to be copyrighted, would probably not want to be charged with piracy for even possessing it on their hard drive if even to make sure they're being fair for users.  Plus, there are far too many uploads to even begin to try it with the risk.

Remember, Mediafire is a business.  If a knife is held at their throat, you bet they are going to comply to keep their jobs.

So yeah... Moral of the story is, you shoulda listened, always have backups, always consider the optional hosting of files on site where they are least likely to be [censored]ed with...

Oh, and did I mention Mediafire is a business? Yeah, remember that...

oh ok I see now and sorry to bother you again but like I have everything checked from the codes.txt in ocarina that deals with the stages, except for the file patch code but I don't see any of the stages from the expansion pack, although the music replacements are working just fine. Also, the regular stages from both brawl and melee images on the stage select screen are pixel looking.

Are you using an XML that determines what files to overwrite?

Thnx linkxp but for some reason riivolution wont load up anymore, i had did everything accordingly to the intsructions but once i load up riivolution and launch ssbb then all i would see is a black screen, i think it has something to do with the .pac files again cause like the .pac files have the brawlbox icon on them, but does it suppose to look like that, or do i have to open them up in brawlbox to make them look like blank paper?

Make sure you are using an ocarina xml for the files to work, and also make sure the file patch code is deactivated before you place the gct file where it is supposed to go.

I had the same issue when I started with Riivolution.  I did both to make sure it works.  And now it does.
27  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Mewtwo2000's Stage Thread [Grunty's Tower finally in the vault! (14/05/2013)] on: May 14, 2013, 03:33:18 PM
I don't believe I even beat Banjo Kazooie all the way... I remember being so close to Grunty's boss room, but I had trouble trying to scramble up enough puzzle pieces to break the door.  I was having to go back and forth between perpetual christmas sledding and sewer diving trying to find any pieces I could.

I never even watched the boss fight on youtube, so I have no idea what I missed...

But the game was a greater challenge for me than Zelda will ever be.

Oh, and Mewtwo2000, when you referred to ItalianStallion's comment, did you mean you were going to add a version with toilet paper plaguing the old hag's abode?  Would've been good for a few chuckles to show my friends.  Laugh

I want to know if anyone has a solution to this problem im having with the .pac files, ok like I was confused on how to open the common5.pac file as it said to do on the instructions on the Classic Expansion Pack and so I opened it with adobe, and after I did that all the files of .pac showed the adobe sign instead of how the .pac files looked at first like blank paper, then I knew I had [censored]ed up, so I tried to play with it by selecting other programs to open it up to get the .pac files back to the way they were, but still nothing Sad its like its permanent. Someone please help :-/

Open it with BrawlBox.

true, but u have to admit it was a semi-decent concept at first

It would have been a better suggestion if sound and music were paused along with the action.  But alas, that just isn't so.
30  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Brawl Vault Problems, Updates, and Suggestions on: May 12, 2013, 11:34:28 AM
Oh well. What would you guys here suggest I switch to? Dropbox?

I know that Solidfiles has a max of 50 GB of storage for free users with 500 MB for individual uploads.  I'd go for that if you have a group of files or archives that fall within those specifications.

Dropbox normally has you do all kinds of things to get more storage, or you could buy a premium for more storage.  Not as great as Solidfiles if you have lots of data you'd like to back up or store online.
