1  Help & Tutorials / Help / Wanting to transfer Wii Data to Wii U (Homebrew Related) on: April 07, 2014, 12:00:48 PM
Firstly, I want to say that I don't know if this question is the type of question this area was intended for, but I didn't see anywhere else that this would fit into. I apologize in advance if it isn't. And searching the web didn't seem to yield any relevant or helpful results... so anyway, here goes..

My Nintendo Wii had started to suffer the 'Dual-Layer Disk Problem' about 2 years ago, but it has gotten worse since then. My Wii reads regular Wii/GameCube disks just fine, it's just Super Smash Bros. Brawl and the dual-layer disk issue.

After awhile, I simply got bored with brawl hacks and I got tired of having to fight with my Brawl disk just to get the game running. I would much rather be able to just put the game in and play with no problems, so I decided my best bet would be to just transfer my data over to my Nintendo Wii U.

Since making this decision, I have uninstalled the Homebrew Channel as well as the other stuff through the HackMii installer. Although, I had to uninstall Homebrew by going through the Wii settings, I read on some websites that there should've been a "Uninstall Homebrew" option in the HackMii Installer, but I didn't see it... But from the looks of things, everything Homebrew related has been removed.. (Except for the play history of Homebrew.)

I honestly don't see myself re-installing Homebrew again, and I want to keep my Wii U 'clean'. I read a list of what is transferred and what is not transferred on Nintendo's website, but I'm still paranoid that the data transfer may transfer any Homebrew data... If I do the Data Transfer, will it transfer any files affected by Homebrew/HackMii despite being uninstalled? Or would those things, if any, just get filtered out? Would the play history be transferred?

I'm especially worrying that something bad would happen to my Wii U despite uninstalling Homebrew/etc.

I may be worrying for nothing, but I just would rather be on the safe side... Can anyone help put my mind at ease so I feel better about transferring my data?

Also, I have one more question that came to me while typing the first question. I know the online data won't be transferable. But would the game saves themselves still transfer? Or will I have to go through the long and annoying process of unlocking all characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and characters/karts in Mario Kart Wii?
2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Homebrew and Brawl Hacking question on: June 19, 2013, 03:27:21 PM
I am really sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, and I've searched the internet but can't find any answers. If I already used bannerbomb, and installed homebrew, etc. But then I deleted homebrew after awhile... So my question is, would I have to repeat step 1 and use Bannerbomb again to get Homebrew and use brawl hacks again?

Again, I apologize if this is the wrong place for this...
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Riivolution Question on: November 08, 2012, 08:59:56 PM
I just recently "upgraded" from Gecko to Riivolution. I noticed that my Nintendo Wii's disc light flashes during gameplay, Is that normal when using Riivolution?

(Sorry for the possibly noobish question...)
