I will most likely be rigging it despite my dislike for that part of the importing process. Though A lot of the original rig remains intact from what little I've messed with, with only the heavily edited and completely new elements needing (re)rigging.
It also helps that things like swords and shields and pauldrons only need to be rigged to one bone each!
Seems interesting... I'd like to know what you're planning with these 3 ladies though... As for the Sexyness above... That makes alot of persons to collab/credit... Lol...
And I just now got Sylph working the way I wanted them to. I just need to fix some things in the rig and do some material work, and they'll be good to go. (:
...And yeah, I'll credit the people whose imports I've added, but since I'm not sure exactly which vault entries DoE took from, the rest of the credit is just going to the whole Brawl Vault. The community as a whole is at fault here, after all.
Also, I'm curious to see how you got covered for the others two fairies from that Sylph summon (I don't remember the name for that one, I think it was "Yutis" or something like that, correct me if I'm wrong)
Good point about Miku, but I just thought of a much better idea than her ponytails.
And yes, that is Yutis. (: There's a bit more info in my thread, but my model thread is the equivalent of the dark, shadowy place in The Lion King. (Granted I'm rarely there myself, but still.)
Those who've visited the WIP thread already know that this abomination is in the works, courtesy of Demon_of_Elru:
DoE will be collabbed, but I'm going to credit the entire Vault because wow that is a lot of hacks to keep track of. And yes, the Mega Buster is going over the bow. You'll also notice another thing from a popularly hacked character in the layers there. And at the top of the layers...well, that's a little treat from yours truly and will be optional.
And for coming all the way here, I shall also preview these ladies:
Sylph, the summon spirits of wind from Tales of Symphonia. I will say they are all going over Pit. But what I'm doing with them is a surprise.
These guys shouldn't take too long to finish, though, aside from rigging and setting up shaders. So I should be able to start back up on other stuff in maybe a week from now. Thank you for coming!
Why is everybody acting like it's a joke? I'm rigging this thing. For reals. I've pretty much added everything I'm going to add. But this is totally happening. I am invading the vault with everything the vault has all at once.
On a side note, I'm also doing this:
For those who know who this is, you may notice she's alone...but worry not. Kage Ryu's got them covered, too.
Pit has really short arms for some reason. That, or these models just have really long arms.
Mega Zard Y... editing the model on the Vault to be more accurate, and more cleaned up.
xX_TheTerror_Xx's is good, but the model and rig needed some work.
I've re-made the wings, tail, hands, and arm blade things.
This is awesome. Though I do think the bottom edges of the wings could be a bit more defined into sharper V shapes (three Vs per wing, with the one farthest from the body actually being pretty close to the middle of the wing). They aren't as obvious and numerous as X, but they're there: The official art doesn't have the edges quite as jagged and shredded, either.
megabuster over the bow is beautiful. as for shield... if it isnt too much, lloyd irving's beast creature thing.
I wouldn't really say the Beast move defines Lloyd, since Presea and Farah and Celsius can do that too, but I honestly think his gloves would work better than Shadows. Shadow already has the head and feet of the model. (And his hands aren't actually textured...)
Got my Skywardy-Brawl Link model all rigged up. Even added some shine to his mail and shield.
This thread is just full of awesomity today. Nice, SJS!
Does the spec map for the chain mail have enough darkness for the holes in the rings? The shine makes the bottom part look like a sheet of metal rather than linked chain mail. The detail in the spec map goes a long way in defining the material.
I might make a zip of this thing so people can add to this crazy thing.
I read the last page and a half in one go. I saw how this thing progressed every few posts. I laughed. So hard. Out loud, doubling over. I likely would have fallen off my seat if it wasn't a 3-foot stool and I lacked self-control. The progression, the reactions, the responses...I've had the best laugh I've had in a while.
You, sir, have made not just my night, but my whole month. Also, I would love this as a Maya file and thank you for the download link. (Because I would add Chibi Ryu's glasses to it...) The tri count...IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAND! *crushes scouter* *adds scouter to model*
Okay, so based upon everyone's response, I've decided to split this into two mods. Originally, it was my own custom Metal Mario, but heck, why not hit 1 ship with 2 cannons? I'll make a Mini-Mario and a "True" Mecha Mario. Thanks for the ideas!
On a more serious note, were you aiming for your own interpretation of Mecha Mario, or going for Alvin's SMBZ design? Honestly, don't let the confines of the original design stop you if you want to get creative with it, unless you really are shooting for the original.
