are you using a sd hc card or a sd card? (should be written on the sd card itself)
Okay, you are a PAL user. That means that you come from Europe and therefore your Brawl is slightly different from the file placement to the american version.
did you rename the folder to RSBP like it is suggested at minute 17? (RSBP is the folder called on your disc because you are pal. on american discs it is called rsbe. so, in order that riivolution can "replace" them.)
so i need to replace ALL costumes? only had the ones which were included (i think g&w and fox) but it freezes when I switch from fox. gonna try it another time with more costumes replaced.
So, I nearly figured out how to run cbliss on brawl. It only works for me if I choose osssleep at the ocarina settings at Riivolution. If I dont choose it there are no changes to Brawl. If i choose it I can go in the Character Selection Screen through the costumes until I reach the 9th costume of a character. Then, if I press the "change costume"-Button I hear the annoying Beeeep from my Wii. It doesn't matter how much costumes from which characters I watched before, but it is always the point when I change from costume 9 to the first one "back". If I try to start the game with another new costume and dont let the Wii beep after selecting the stage my Wii does nothing... (think I got some filepositioning wrong or smth like that..).
Changes I made to the folders / file placement: Moved a ocarina folder into apps. The riivolution in apps folder was left untouched. Got only the RSBP01.gct in the codes folder. Changed the XML file in the riivolution folder, so the files he loads are named the same like they are on the brawl disc (shouldnt be the problem). Changed RSB?01.gct in the gameconfig.txt to RSBP01.gct. Changed the name of the RSBE folder in private/wii/app to RSBP (for the XML). The fighter, info and menu folder were left untouched. Deleted the system folder and created a menu2 folder with sc_selcharacter_de.pac and sc_selmap_de.pac within it. I compared my clean copies of those files with the files located in the given common5.pac and replaced my false content with the content of the files in the common5.pac. Within the stage/melee folder I compared a clean copy of stgresult_de.pac with the given stgresult.pac and replaced all differences.
I don't know what I did wrong. Would be glad if someone has suggestions or could give me a (nearly) clean copy of a PAL cbliss which works.
I dunno about character rels but you can do stage rels with the Stage Switcher for PAL (don't know how I got it, maybe google helps). But this online converter should work too. http://www.lakora.us/rel/ (next time: look into the resources!) here are the normal rels if you need them: http://www.mediafire.com/?obemxmzbcvb6d (you could find them in the rescources, too!)
Just a simple suggestion: If you click on "Add SSP" in the Gallery you are welcome to upload a 176x176 picture. Why isn't the little preview picture (the one on which you click when you select the stage) and the stage name mentioned? I think other users would profitate from these, so why not welcome it to add it to a stage?
Same goes for the "Add CSP". You should be welcomed to upload Ingame-Portraits, CSS-Name, Ingame-Name, Stock-Icons and Result Screen Portraits. (hopefully I didn't forget anything).
Think it is clear what my little suggestion is about. A simple change of the upload description should be enough.
Gimp (Get it >>here<< or >>here<<) Attention! I use the German Version of Gimp, so the buttons of Gimp are freely translated by me, it could be that they have slightly different names!
"sc_selmap.pac" of your region If you don't already have one, here is how to get one:
There are three ways to get a sc_selmap.pac of your region: 1. The easiest way: Go >>here<< and scroll down until you find the "Original Brawl Files". Download them and you will find the sc_selmap.pac in the menu2 folder.
2. Start WiiXplorer (Get it >>here<<) via the HomebrewChannel and copy the sc_selmap.pac out of the menu2 folder to your SD-Card. The menu2 folder should be located in \private\wii\app\RSBP\pf.
3. Install a USB-Loader (just google it or use this >>Link<<) on your Wii. Dump with the help of the USB-Loader SuperSmashBrosBrawl to your USB-Stick or SD-card. If it is a WBFS-File instead of an ISO-File just convert it with the WiiBackupManager (Get it >>here<<). Now install WiiScrubber (Get it >>here<<) and open your ISO-File with it. Extract the sc_selmap.pac of your region out of Partition1/menu2.
optionally a good font to create stagenames (Get it >>here<<). Doubleclick it and click install. (for Win7 users, if you are not a Win7 user google how to install a font.
What you've got to do: You need a picture of the stage you want to do the things for. Often the preview picture here on BrawlVault is enough. MenSelmapPrevbase.XX Open it with Gimp, click on picture then on scale image. Click on the upper chain and resize the picture to 176x176 Pixel. Click on file, export and save it as PNG-image.
MenSelmapIcon.XX Open it with Gimp and resize it like described before, but this time to 64x56 Pixel. Click File, then open as new layer and choose the miniimage.xcf. Maybe you need to arrange the layers with drag & drop. If it looks good export and save it as PNG-image.
MenSelmapFrontStname.XX Open the name.png with Gimp. Click on tools, then on text and make a big textbox on the name.png. Change the color to white (right bottom corner). Optionally change the font to SuperSmashFont. Write the Name of your Stage and choose a font-size. Export and save it as PNG-image. How to import it to Brawl Open your sc_selmap.pac with BrawlBox and replace the pictures you want to replace (right-click, replace). They should be located in MiscData[80].
The sc_selmap.pac should go into the menu2 folder on your sdcard.
