Yeah, it is stretched.
Also, it kinda looks like some sort of a blanket, tissue, curtain or whatever because of its shape and shading/lighting on it. Kinda fitting since characters in fisrt SSB are toys.

the BG texture is actually 2048x2048... but i rescalled it to 1024x1024... while other textures r like 512x512 or 512x256 or 256x256.. there's only 1 thats 64x64 lol
Huh. Looks pretty bad for something with this resolution. Probably because its just a texture and stage is big, so, its stretched.

HD Dreamland... im not sure yet.. even tho it does have different textures in some spots.. i'll think about it, even tho i'd have to use M22K's stage as a base... Omega Onett, idk yet..
To be honest, background looks [censored]ing awful (very blurry and has low resolution), especially when stage itself has HD textures. But im fine with everything else.

I'd like to do Planet Zebes (well, if you weren't going to) instead of Summit.. as Summit already has pretty high textures and I dunno how I should make the ice in HD, it's too hard for me (// not skilled enough). But, if if could do Zebes, should I use the version by Mewtwo2000?
Better use PM version. Its same thing, but most likely has less bugs or something.

Guys, don't worry about the lights, I'm working on it. There is a lot of work yet. About the Kraid model I'm trying to export the original from melee with his animation but I can't do it for now. I'm using the Universal Model Converter to convert the dat. extension to mdl0, but the program don't work in my computer (Windows 8.1)

Also, do you know enough about collisions to have the thing actually spin? I miss that..

Can't it be done by just attaching the collision to the rock's bone instead of the stage's TopN/root/whatever bone?
A new Remaster Stage


Kinda expected to see this. But there are things that bother me about it:
1. Lighting. Stage looks too bright when compared to original version. Maybe its because of lava/acid.
2. Kraid. His tail is just awkwardly posed (completly straight and i know why) and his belly texture isn't the right one. He also has low quality for a Wii game, but thats another thing that can't be fixed without completly remaking the model. Also, he just clips through the lava/acid when rising/going down. Can't you add some sort of model GFX (by that, i mean GFX that isn't made of only particles and instead something like PSI Magnet, Mario's Fireball, landing effect, etc) to mask that? Like lava splashes on PM Bowser's Castle?

Its new. Created it a week ago. I don't understand how virtual SD card can start to mess up though.

Hm...weird. Probably SD card failed to replace the stage or something. Been doing that for a while. Good to know that its been fixed. Didn't noticed it in the changelog though.

What those grey boxes are for?

im not sure... i'll be on vacation for 3 days starting monday.. so u wont see anything from me til late wednesday.

and there's something wrong with the char positions on edge of madness? didnt notice...

edit:
updated the spawn points and pokemon trainer positions on edge of madness!
Oh well.

Characters are too close to the elevated part, which causes noticable clipping with GFX and big characters.

I noticed first 2 stages's release. Should have fixed characters' position on Edge of Madness though. Anyway, looking forward to what's next (FD? Battlefield? Palutena's Temple? Other unfinished stages that were shown before?).

...thats gonna take a while to learn...Kinda used to places where this doesn't happens. And why i wasn't informed of this earlier?

I think you should put the characters away from the higher part of the stage. Right now, GFX (and possibly big characters) clips into it awkwardly.

Everything that should be censored is censored in my post. I can leave out parts of it that can't be used as curse words on their own.

Looks good. Kinda wish it was over Bridge of Eldin and had a bit more going on, but its a desert, so, doesn't matters.

And i just downloaded Suzaku Castle and noticed something unacceptable. There is no Guile's Theme, you f***ing monster. I know its not in the game, but it doesn't matters.
So, i rate it No Guile's Theme/10. It can't go with anything.

Brinstar certainly looks better than before. So, there is no reason to use the original one. Would be nice to see someone remake n64 Brinstar, but it would require pretty much throwing out and replacing everything from the stage.
