I think the way it is now would be perfect if the texture was a bit higher quality. The shape seems about as good as can be. Very nice job, by the way. I'm always impressed when I come across a great perverted hack since SO many are terrible.
Thanks, I try my best to make do with what I have.
I'm trying a new approach for the "busting out" parts which is why I haven't uploaded a picture as I said I would earlier. While the textures still make it tough I think that this new way looks much better and has better angles to it so shadows don't make it look quite as weird. I'm about half done, and I haven't had much time to work on them this week.
But I still hope to meet my release deadline of this week (probably going to be at or very near the end ) or at the very least get you guys another picture of the new attempt.
EDIT: WHELP thanks to 3DSMax apparently screwing something up the model I was working can't be imported so I need to restart from scratch. I hope to still have this out Saturday maybe Sunday though.
EDIT2: Huff puff, am I too late to have made some announcement for Sunday? Wii problems gave me a setback.
Making some minor changes to vertex positions that are messing up the textures a bit, almost done so far, here's two previews. One with a bit better lighting of the new busting out method. The other is to show that the suit seam on the tailbone has been fixed and I straightened out the seam lines on the back (and NOT just for dat ass ).
Should be able to release soon, but it won't be for a few days at least, sorry guys.
Bit more round too.
A bit of her face is included for the skin tone comparison. I'm thinking I should take the tone from a slightly darker area for this part. What do you think? Also I need to fix that weird shoulder line on the left (her right) don't know how that happened.
Now that Brawlbox 0.69 is out you're gonna continue, right?
Already making final edits to Too Enhanced ZSS, it should be out this week.
EDIT:
Still need to add the other costume variations but I'm trying to nail down shape first.
I wanted to make it look like she really was "busting out" of the suit so I went ahead and made this variation to the original mesh:
It looks... not right to me. I think the flat version seems better. Do you guys have any suggestions? If I could get this to look right that would be so awesome. But after tweaking it dozens of times over the course of the entire day I still can't nail the right shape.
If this doesn't fly I'll just scrap it but it's the last thing holding me back from releasing the next version.
So... let the suggestions fly! Even if I get some "the shape of this one looks better than that one" that helps a lot.
Samus with enhancements cutting through the suit? I gotta see this!
Hey, that's actually a really good idea! I was originally just planning on smoothing things out, thickening the thighs slightly and thinning the waist slightly. But that's a good idea! I'll have to see if I can't do that too without going over poly count.
To confirm, you mean... Samus "outside" the suit in certain areas due to it being too small correct? ^^
Will weighted object importing in this be fixed so that one doesn't have to spend hours recreating a .mdl0 if they import a .dae for the vertex set? Which I can't make work anyways.
(maybe round breasts for this to make them more real, I'm only suggesting ).
I know you're only make a suggestion, but I'd like to point out that in order to do that (the XL size is actually decently "round") the distance from chest to tip would have to be reduced by quite a bit so that they don't take on an angular look. But I'll look into it. ^^
How exactly do I use it (I'm new at this). I've replaced the .pac's and .pcs's but the three sizes seem to be the same and I don't know how to add the splits. Thank you in advance.
The splits are only built into the XL size textures. You can add splits to the other sizes (and any other texture you wish) by overlaying the included .png in the resource folder onto the body texture of your choice using an image editing program such as GIMP.
As for actually setting up the hack, setup the directory in your SD card to read:
\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\Fighter\SZerosuit\
Inside the last folder of that string place the .PACs and .PCSs from the size of your choice included in my pack. If you don't know what size take a look at the size comparison pic on the download page for the hack.
The numbers correspond to the outfit color you choose. Off memory for Zero Suit Samus:
-00 : Varia Suit
-01 : Pink Suit
-02 : Green Suit
-03 : Fusion Suit
-04 : Gravity Suit
-05 : Phazon Suit
The body textures for ZSS have already been properly matched so that they match the appropriate Samus suit.
I'm usually not one to comment on such hacks, but, you don't seem to have any anatomical concept of nipple placement, as at least one of those tears should be showing them.
Move the tears around a bit, I suppose.
Actually if you observe the textures closely you'll see it's there. On her left side. It's dark not pink. Post Merge: September 14, 2013, 09:13:33 PM
