We don't really want to edit the bones to keep it wifi safe, and removing the quill movement altogether will cause issues with PSAs that utilize the quills. Project M's Sonic up-throw comes to mind, but there may be others as well.
I understand.

Why would you want his quills static? It just doesn't feel right that way.

I think it looked perfectly fine in this video:

Actually the quills do move but only when he jumps.

As for the quills, they're the same length as Nanobud's Generations Sonic as we'll be using that model.

That's a good choice, Nanobud's Generations Sonic is very close to the SSB4 model.

From left to right: SSBB; SSB4; Gererations

The only difference I can see is that the top quill is a bit higher in the SSB4 model. It can be edited easily if you modify the bones.

In SSB4 his quills won't move:

It would be easy to make them static, you'd just have to edit the bones (like all Shadow models).

Nice Sonic (I really like the smile), I suppose you're making his quills a bit shorter like in SSB4 right? I also noticed that in they won't move as much in the next game, will they be static?

It looks like you're getting rid of the yellow buckle on the side of his shoes though, but he stilll has it in SSB4.

The left shoulder looks a bit weird on the first picture, but you did a good job! You still need to import the hand canon though don't you?

Awesome! The only things you could change is make the blue of the armor parts a bit darker. Is it possible to give it a metal shine too, like the SSB4 model?

You would put that coding in every Sub Action you want your alt to have a special effect on.
Well, it's the coding part that I don't really get, but I might understand if I look into your files.

I have already done animations and textures but not coding (not in brawl at least). For example, if I want to make an animation specific to one character, should I create a new animation in the motionetc.pac (without replacing an existing one) and somehow code it in the character.pac?

That should be possible.
Damn, I have to learn to do that then. This would make Shadow, Cloud and many others a lot better, without changing the original character. Do you have a tuto or anything?

I really like what you're doing, it makes alts look more unique. Is it possible to make animations specific for one slot too? I suppose it isn't, but it would be awesome.

It has to be some variation of the said character (ex: Dark Samus is okay, but Shadow the Hedgehog isn't).
I don't wanna [censored], but isn't Dark Samus different from Samus just the way Shadow is from Sonic?

Anyway, I have a request (though I don't mind if you're not interested). In PM 3.0 Link's boomerang uses its melee effect, which is cool for OoT alts, but not so much for vanilla Link (in Twilight Princess the effect is the same as in vBrawl). So, is it possible to make this effect specific to his OoT alts?

I think it has more to do with copyright. The team is releasing something to the public with a mod. They even said they communicated with Nintendo and anything post-Brawl is something they don't want to be adding. Skyloft seems to be an exception.

Mega Pokemon are from X and Y, 2013, so they won't add them. I bet if Mega Pokemon were around before Brawl, they would have some included.
Oh, ok then. I was wondering why they didn't add Link from Skyward Sword too, this might explain it. Or maybe they just thought that OoT Link was enough.
But it's strange that they didn't add Ganon from melee, there's already a very good model for him.
