What you could do is allow the wiki to be edited by certain people only, that is administrators/moderators/really good hackers who have already contributed a lot of work to the vault.
That defeats the purpose of it being a wiki and is actually more limited than what we have here on the forum, where anyone can post a tutorial.
If I open up this option to you, I also open it up to, say, people who repeatedly bump their own request threads.
Which is exactly the sort of thing the post-merge function is intended to prevent.
Truthfully, I don't think I understand your problem. You say the Wii browser can't handle large amounts of text, but... you never have to deal with all that text. The forum handles the merging for you.
The only ways I can imagine you interacting with large amounts of text:
You're copying the text of old posts into your new post and deleting the old posts, thereby bumping your thread. There is no need for you to do this. You post primarily in Programming, which does not get enough activity to warrant bumps more than once every two days (which is what the current settings allow).
You're editing a post that has been previously merged. This is a more legitimate use case than #1. However, I am inclined to say that you should just proofread better. You got yourself into this situation by doing risky things with your computer. It is insane to just do whatever you want and expect everyone else to adapt to the circumstances in which you find yourself. You messed up. This is a (minor, in the grand scheme of things) consequence. Adjusting to it is your responsibility, not ours. This forum is not intended for use on anything other than a desktop or laptop. It is about Brawl hacking, which requires a proper computer to do, ergo it makes very little sense to cater to other platforms.
I will think about your request over the weekend, but its likelihood of being implemented is low.
Also, if you ever say anything that sounds like a threat of attacking us again, I will report you.
Can a Brawlvault staff member run a script or something that reports all of my hacks for having a broken download, similar to what was done when MegaUpload was shutdown? I know my downloads are broken, and I don't want to receive message after message about how my downloads are broken.
