16  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Help With Stage Hacking Please on: March 04, 2014, 09:18:19 PM
Weird that shouldn't have happened.Try Mario Bros->FD just to see if this works on other stages
Also what stage is it that you downloaded?
17  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Help With Stage Hacking Please on: March 04, 2014, 08:32:57 PM
You can make it replace something else if you so desire here
Select the Mario bros stage and then select the stage you wish to replace. Just don't forget to rename the stage file as well for it to work

Would you say CBliss is better than BrawlBox? or keep both files?
cBliss is used to add characters while Brawlbox is used for editing. Comparing apples to oranges here
In case you haven't viewed the cbliss thread here's the link

Oh, didn't notice people have responded. It didn't give any notice.

I've right clicked and tried to add a new slot. I'd like top add in a 7th Battle Portaite. But It doesn't give the ability to. I right click and no window pops up.

See, Toon Link for project M has 7 textures. But only 6 Battle Portaite slots, the 7th Battle Portaite slot has it';s own Battle Portaite picture. You know, the Town One from Wind Waker? I forget what it's called off the top of my head.

And I didn't mean my post to be harsh, I just feel like the forum doesn't help at all, since it never gives a notice if a person responded, I felt like people just ignored.
Near the top/bottom of the thread hit "notify" to get notification about topics getting replies
You're most likely going to have to use cbliss for it to show up. The game normally doesn't load that data and what cbliss does is to force the game to load it

Hi, i'm a noob and really want to play as scott pilgrim in project M, i downloaded it from brawl vault,  i found the "portrite" folder it was in pf/info
an i dragged and dropped the brres files into the portrite folder. i also replaced the pac an pcs files an renamed them to fitlucas04 to replace the fourth undesired costume. i loaded the folder onto the sd card loaded up project m an it crashes ONLY when i try to load the fourth lucas costume. i even tried doin the whole random stage switch to only one stage an then selectin random it just stays on the stage select screen a lil faded wit ready to fight over it, but it never loads the match. the wii doesn't freeze just project M. any help with this would really be appreciated. i really jus need to learn how to do it once an then i can add whomever i want; the desire to play as scott pilgrim is pretty much the entire reason i even made an account on here, since i'm a noob an couldn't figure it out by myself ( i youtubed read the wiki guide, may seem basic to those in the know but to someone who has no clue what to do its kinda confusin an overwhelmin :/ )
Spelling and punctuation would help alot to understand this better but i get the point.
So you basically donwloaded Project:M, replaced a texture and now the game freezes when loading a stage correct?
Try playing the game with project:m loaded but without the texture on any level and see if the game still freezes.
20  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Llama Juice's Stage(s) thread. Golden Sun Lighthouse map released! on: February 27, 2014, 07:45:16 AM
That's very impressive! Especially since this is your first stage only means it'll get better from here!
Look forward to your future hacks good sir.

So if no one can help, then you clearly are rude.
Well that's incredibly harsh
To get to the matter at hand why exactly do you need a extra slot for? It'll definitely help us with the matter at hand as importing a new texture and naming it 407 will essentially do nothing but increase your filesize
22  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Brawl Vault Problems, Updates, and Suggestions on: February 25, 2014, 08:47:09 AM
I don't recall myself or Miacis even commenting on this topic.

If I have, I probably said then what I'll say now: BV's current coding is garbage.
I wouldn't say it's garbage considering the fact it can handle all the traffic this site gets without exploding into a million pieces. Sub-par would be a better term than garbage

Yeah Vyse has been working his ass off for the past weeks to recode BV quite a bit. He needs more love for that. Cheesy
He really does. I wouldn't have known that if it wasn't for the fact i check the thread so often .

The new brawlvault looks impressive check up the good work!  "Wherever Vyse goes, cool follows."
23  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: BRSTMs deteriorating? on: February 14, 2014, 08:00:07 PM
As I said above, the SD card isn't the problem. I stay on top of it as far as formatting goes. The BRSTMs that are stored on my HDD are the ones being affected.
Forgive me as i read that wrong and was a solution to the inverse of what's happening

Could you give more details to the issue? Like when it started to occur?
24  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: BRSTMs deteriorating? on: February 14, 2014, 07:40:26 PM
Back-up your sd card and format the sd card after all the files are moved. This is due to fragmentation like you stated but formatting it s the only way to fix it
25  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Can't get Riivolution to work on: February 02, 2014, 08:22:57 AM
It worked! Thank you!

One more question, I remember reading that custom sound effects for characters won't work with the file patch code. What do I do in that case?
Glad to hear
Since you're using riivolution it should work without any issues just place the custom sounds where you need to and it should work fine

Posting in forum games about a serious topic should have tipped you off /sarcasm
Anyway that aside copyright really isn't a issue as long as you're NOT making a profit off of someone else' intellectual properties. Unless you plan on making money by basing your artwork of a copyrighted design you should be fine.
Also could you try not to run your sentences into each other as it makes reading it kinda hard to understand it
27  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Can't get Riivolution to work on: February 01, 2014, 02:17:51 PM
I'd rather have too many questions than none at all

I just tried it again. Apparently my mods DO load, even my custom music! The only thing that doesn't load is the CSS and the SSS. Though I know you're not supposed to use the file replacement code, but it works so whatever!
Sweet this'll be easy then
Download common5.pac from here and put both files that modify the CSS and SSS into by right-clicking the respective files INSIDE the common5 and save it under system but remember to add the _EN to it
28  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Can't get Riivolution to work on: February 01, 2014, 01:49:19 PM
Yeah I haven't changed folder structure

As for mods, you mean like, gameplay mods? Only real mods I have are texture, model, moveset, and stage swapping. None of them loaded when I tried Riivo
That's really weird it should be working and nothing loads at all?
In your riivolution folder the xml is placed there correct?
Also does your RSBE config file look like this:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<riivolution version="2">
  <option id="FilesFile Code Replacements" default="1"/>
  <option id="OcarinaOcarina Handler" default="1"/>
  <option id="OcarinaCodes" default="1"/>
</riivolution>
Sorry if i'm asking too many questions just trying to narrow down what it could be
29  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Can't get Riivolution to work on: February 01, 2014, 12:21:15 PM
1. Yes

2.
<wiidisc version="1">
   <id game="RSB" />
   <options>
      <section name="Files">
         <option name="File Code Replacements">
            <choice name="Enabled">
               <patch id="filecode" />
            </choice>
         </option>
      </section>
   </options>
   <patch id="filecode">
      <folder external="/private/wii/app/RSBE/pfmenu2" disc="/menu2" />
      <folder external="/private/wii/app/RSBP/pfmenu2" disc="/menu2" />
      <folder external="/private/wii/app/RSBJ/pfmenu2" disc="/menu2" />
      <folder external="/private/wii/app/RSBE/pf" disc="/" />
      <folder external="/private/wii/app/RSBP/pf" disc="/" />
      <folder external="/private/wii/app/RSBJ/pf" disc="/" />
   </patch>
</wiidisc>

3. Specifically the Character Select and Map Screen _en. I...actually think I don't have a Common5...that might be the problem

4. Yes I do
Well that eliminates the the more common problems to why this won't work so that's a start. The xml looks fine from what i can tell and it's telling the game to read from where the file code replacement structure essentially which i assume you haven't changed the folder structure since switching right?
Also are any mods loaded at all? I just realized you never specified if other hacks worked as you said it was only _en files
30  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Can't get Riivolution to work on: February 01, 2014, 08:34:20 AM
This was the thread you read right?
Couple of questions that'd probably help understand your situation better:
1.Do you have codehandler.bin?

2.Could you post your xml that you're trying to use here?

3.Which _en files are you trying to load exactly? I'm guessing common5 right?

4.Under riivolution's folder on the root of the sd card do you have a folder called "config" with a xml called "RSBE"?
