If I don't add the codes for the special stages, will those stages be silent like you said?
Special stages (Target Test, Homerun Contest, etc) require its own code to enable expanded tracks, so unless you have that code, you don't need to use the specific codes for Special Stages.
Also, can I add my Song Title Setting Codes into one long code in Code Manager or do they each need to be added individually? Does that just help keep them sorted and labeled? Just asking because I have a lot of additional music using the CSE. Something like 300 additional songs so that will really crowd my RSBE01.txt lol.
I have a feeling you would get conflicts if you tried to merge everything into one code. Even if it didn't, it would be hell to try and find out which track was which if you ever wanted to go back and alter your track name.
Also, you said I could use my mu_menumain.pac over the title codes. Does that mean a method like this (I've used this method before) would also work for adding My Music song titles? http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=72406.0
Yes, that should work. Except you would use the Expansion IDs instead.
Last one. Where would I find out how to expand my gameconfig.txt if I need to? Things seem to be working right now, but I'm afraid if I keep adding these song title codes, eventually I'll hit a code limit.
Go to JOJI's website, go to the SSBB Codes section, and look for "256 lines unlimited text V2". That's what I use for my gameconfig.txt.
Does this make the song lists in my MiscData7 within the mu_menumain.pac useless?
If you already have a title for a specific track ID, you won't need a code for that specific track. If you want to use your mu_menumain.pac over the title codes, you can do just that.
Speaking of JOJI's code, there's a bit of a game-breaking flaw with it. If you use an Expansion SFX ID for a Fighter's Blast Zone KO cries, the game will crash upon being Kirbycided/Dededecided.
Codes (no KC-MM nor SmashBoards profile) has came up with a fix for said issue, but due to JOJI's policy on wanting permission to distribute codes, Codes has sent him a PM with the fix. Though so far, there's been no reply from JOJI.
I wish I could have more to show to get some activity in here, but the best I can offer right now is more stream uploads, which I have placed into a playlist (so I don't have to post multiple video links in a single post). https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLZL6_FCfwBjRHHFoihPLTWyOVeVuBoFj The most recent stream was recorded and uploaded yesterday, which contains more than just Classic Ridley. It also contains Waluigi and the first ever gameplay footage of the Alloys I've been teasing.
The reason I made the assumption you were using Dolphin 5.0-2712 was from the Dolphin bug report page you linked. The username contained the word "ebola", so I guessed it could have been you.
Thanks for the correction though. I'll update the original post with this information.
I'm using 5.0-6112, and I personally haven't ran into this issue. I read from your post that you have 5.0-2712, so I'd recommend you update your Dolphin.
Though it could be from me dumping my own Wii's NAND or something.
Two weeks without an update? I better fix that. I've been keeping this under wraps for a while (since I didn't want to reveal a release date, but then suddenly have to make a delay), but I'm hoping to release my update to my overhaul of Classic Ridley early December, but in the meantime, since BaganSmashBros is giving me permission to show these (since these are brand new animations he's made that haven't been shown until recently), have a teaser treat of what's to come with this overhaul update.
Going to give a minor bump to let you all know I'm still working on stuff. I've also added my update to my overhaul of Classic Ridley under the "Current Projects" label. Unfortunately, progress for the poll winner hasn't been made recently.
For those looking forward to my Alloy project, I've decided to port Kirby's model over onto Jigglypuff's moveset for the Green Alloy, as Kirby lacks a BrawlEx module, due to complications regarding his Copy Ability Articles. There's a few minor issues I still need to fix, but otherwise, it's an almost perfect port. I just need to port and edit Jigglypuff's Special animations to fit over Kirby's skeleton + Idle. The current issues I'm facing at the moment are as followed:
Quote
-Jigglypuff has less shadow bones than Kirby. This can be fixed, but requires tedious hex editing. -When using Rollout, Kirby's model does not spin (Jigglypuff's model still spins though). I'm assuming this is something controlled in the module, as I haven't found anything relevant in PSA, so I'm going to have to ask around for this one.
Though despite this, I've managed to experiment with some ideas I've had for the Green Alloy's Specials. While I wanted to wait to show previews, it's going to be a while until the Green Alloy itself is in a preview-able state, so I'll just show my rough drafts in the meantime.
Side Special: A custom variation of Pound taken straight from Sm4sh.
Up Special: A custom variation of Final Cutter taken straight from Sm4sh, but with some minor tweaks. Since this preview, the Beam Sword has been replaced with the Primid's Beam Sword.
Down Special: A custom variation of Rest, but this time, it's an original concept.
This is all I have to show for today. I'm hoping to show off more things in the near future.
I was already going to suggest Sammi's tutorials, but Kitsu beat me to the punch. If you're still having issues, just state the character you want to make an Ex Clone out of, and I could put together a quick collection of needed files for you to use, given if the base character has an Ex Module.
The spoiler below contains my replies to the-myuutsu (since it doesn't relate to the current topic).
I'm sorry, but you will not get help here. This site is filled with a bunch of lazy and incompetent administrators and mods who care nothing about normal users and are only interested in furthering their own agendas
I have no idea what to say about this bit. What agendas are you talking about here?
I can see why you'd have beef with Br3, but why me? While I've barely posted on KC-MM during the past few months, I've been much more active helping people out on the Brawl/Project M Modding Discord (since it's way more active than KC-MM and its dedicated Discord server). Though you'd be right to say I don't help others as nearly as I should, but that's due to my own personal reasons I won't get into here.
I wish I could help, but unfortunately, I cannot. Keep in mind this thread has, as of writing, been viewed 250 times, and not one of those viewers cared so much as to even say they couldn't help. That shows you the sheer selfishness of the users here.
Most of the time, the people who view this thread wouldn't know what to do. They're more than likely seeing if they're the only ones with the issue they're personally experiencing. Even then, there's numerous ways one could address an issue, depending on how much the user knows when it comes to the area of modding.
Admittedly, this post was as much a rant as it was an answer, but hopefully when you need help again, you'll remember what I told you and instinctively look elsewhere. This site can rot alongside it's incompetent staff and selfish users.
