76  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: scaling down models please help on: May 10, 2011, 09:00:32 PM
Expand the model in brawlbox. Go to the first bone. On the right you should see numbers for scale. Change them to 0.25 or whatever just experiment till its the right size

78  Help & Tutorials / General Tutorials / Import From Okami on: May 08, 2011, 09:33:12 PM
Hello and today Ill be writing a tutorial on how to make import stages from Okami.

Some Things You Will Need:
Okami ISO-I can't legally link that....
Wii Scrubber-http://www.megaupload.com/?d=G52JRUYV
AFS Explorer-http://www.mediafire.com/?n3n2x84so4i81b5

Okay so first thing that will need to be done is open the Okami ISO in Wii Scrubber

After that expand the Partion 1

And go to the bottom where you will find _data0.afs and _data1.afs

Extract both of these files somewhere you can remember (This may take awhile as they are very large files. Be patient)

So now that that is done open up AFS Explorer and go File>Import and then import either one (It doesn't really matter)

You will now see a lot of stuff. Scroll down until you find .dat files. Select pretty much any one that is on its own (Doesn't have another letter to it like ___a.afs, ___b.afs etc.)

Here for example I will use rf07.dat. Right click it and export it somewhere you will remember

Now thanks to ForOhForError we have a wonderful program that will do much of the work for us:
http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=22660.0 simply download that and place the files inside the same folder as you placed your .dat. Then run the program and select the .dat. It will then extract and hex every file inside.

Now simply make a new folder called ____Models and go inside every .brres and export all the models. Now get a blank Final Destination and begin adding all the models and the textures (texture is always the first .brres) All models should be added to ModelData2 and the ModelData1 should be replaced with a static, nulled model.

Finally you should position the models. Simply change values over and over until they are where you want (Check in the collision editor) and when you are done just open a new .txt and write down the translations of all of them and put it all back to 0 everytime. Scale should also be put into consideration. Always have the scale at 0.5, as that is about the proper scale for Okami models.
Example:

Finally you are nearly finished. Do collisions to your liking, find suitable lighting, save and upload. Enjoy, I hope you found this tutorial useful. Post if there is any other games that I have made a stage from that you would like a tutorial for.

79  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Black Screen of Death on: May 08, 2011, 08:14:08 PM
I've been hacking into Brawl for several weeks now with great success, thanks to all the helpful guides I've found on here.  However, I began to have some trouble a couple of nights ago when the game would crash every time I moved a cursor over Peach's icon in the character selection screen.  This wasn't terrible as I could still play with other characters perfectly fine, but the next night I tried the game got no further than the little spinning brawl icon on the loading screen before showing a blank, black screen.  I spend all afternoon today trying to figure out if it was a messed-up file, but even after deleting my BrawlBox-edited CSS and SSS from my SD card (and practically every other file that didn't involve Gecko, the Homebrew Channel, or a few texture hacks just to make sure it worked assuming I got past the screen) I still got the "black screen of death."

On a side note, I'm pretty sure it messed up my first (2 GB) SD card the first night I got "the screen." I used an almost-empty 1 GB SD the next time I tried.

Has anyone else experienced this and/or knows how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!
My suggestion is, if its not too big a deal, clear your entire SD Card. That will probably fix it right there.

Well... it's not of use NOW... but once everything is set up, it could serve as a host of sorts for this project
Personally I doubt it will be of use. Nobody is supporting it so how can it progress?

I believe this post might be of a use to this project.

85  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Texture Delete on: April 23, 2011, 02:29:25 PM
load whatever texture your editing, and edit it to make it transparent
Already tried. I actually explained that. Then it loads white.
86  Help & Tutorials / Help / Texture Delete on: April 23, 2011, 02:12:46 PM
Well I have a model that has a texture that when you un-check it in brawlbox the model looks fine. There is also a bunch more models that use this. When I play the stage in-game with all these models one still has the texture that should have turned transparent. Is there any way to stop the model from loading that texture at all or actually make it transparent? When I set the texture to transparent in brawlbox its clear but in-game is white. Any help would be appreciated.

Animal Crosser, Megaman Volnutt (64), Pac-Man (World) and Rayman. Mewtwo and Naruto as well but people have already picked those.

Wait....wat are collisions? Am i sposda edit those if i do a stage import? Would not doing so result in a freeze on the stage selection screen?
Collisions are what control where you stand on a stage.
