Alucard (From Symphony of the Night) Ok, so I have had this done for months and have forgotten about it.  Foolsgil reminded me with an offer to do a vid for it, which I had previously requested.

download link:http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=8891&Moderated=All
Download includes the motionpac and the pac, already named correctly. Here's the link to Wii's alucard texture:http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=5680&Moderated=All#Number=5680&Moderated=All

Moveset:

A Ground Moves

AA (Punch/Slash)

Side Tilt (Crissigrim Slash)
Alucard slashes the Crissigrim. A quick slash.

Down Tilt (Any down sword slash)
A simple sweeping sword move.

Side Smash (Marsil Slash)
Alucard slashes his Marsil. A quick hit.

Alucard slashes the Crissigrim upward. A quick slash.

B Ground Moves

B (Rune Sword Slash)
Alucard throws the Rune Sword.

Tilt B (Alucard Sword Special)
Alucard uses his family airloom to teleport and slash backwards.

Down B (Hellfire)
Alucard casts the famous Hellfire.

Up B (Leap Boots)
Alucard uses the leap boots. (As leap boots you could use indefinatly in the game, you can also use them indefinatly here, however Alucard is very vulnerable to hits after using the leap boots.)

Air Moves

B in Air (Rune Sword Spike)
Alucard chucks the returning Rune Sword downward.

Down A (Kick)
Alucard kicks downward.

Forward A (Alucard Sword Slash)
Alucard Slashes his Alucard Sword.

Final Smash

Alucard uses a Pentagram to wipe all traces of enemies away. (Only works the direction Alucard is facing)

Notes/Known Bugs
-I created Alucard to stay mostly true to the gameplay style in Symphony of the Night, which also means his gameplay style is a bit more advanced for new people to the game. He can get the floor wiped with him quite easily, but he can also wipe the floor if someone knows what they are doing.
-The final smash adds the Marth final smash graphic following the characters hit. I don't know how to fix this.
-Some moves were completly unchanged. If you have any ideas what I can do with these moves, please post something about it.
-I animated a good percent of the moves, so the animations are very simple.

Credits
Wii - Texture included. Amazing for letting me use this.
BeWop - Most of the moveset ideas.
Myself - Obviously.

2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Vertex issue on: August 09, 2010, 09:57:19 PM
OK, so this is not my first time vertexing, it is my second, and I have come across an issue that renders the vertex unusable.
Ok, so I do all the steps.
I use das donkey to turn the vertex into a 3ds
I edit with 3ds. max 2010 ( raw verticies, not the new method)
I export it in an old version of anim9or (turns out newer versions were causing the planes stretch to infinity issue)
I insert it into the model using das donkey.

It looks fine in brawlbox, but when I use it in game, the model and any other opponents turn invisible and the game speed slows. When he uses his boomerang or arrows, the game is normal for the duration of the moves. Any advice on this would be great. Also, I use both the pac and pcs, both correctly named.
3  Help & Tutorials / Vertex Tutorials / Blender issue resolved! on: July 13, 2010, 10:16:16 PM
Ok, I know that this isn't a hack and that it probably doesn't belong here, but after a long time of reading posts about people who haven't been able to make vertex work in blender(myself included) I have finally found the source of the issue and fixed it! YAY!
The issue I'm refering to is the one where after hacking in blender, the character was unchanged and the polygon was shot out for infinity.

Ok, so the issue was this:newer versions of anim8or would somehow mess up the file when converting it to an obj and back to a 3ds. For example, when I looked at one that hadn't been messed with VS one that had been converted and than back again without any modifications, the codes were different when looked at in a hex editor. So, after alot of looking, I found an old version of anim8or, tried it out, and it was glitch-free.

Here's the link to anim8or V.4: http://www.mediafire.com/?wmjd4ydx4znyj2z

Here's the link on how to edit verticies in blender:

5  Help & Tutorials / Help / Almost Fixed! on: June 26, 2010, 11:19:08 PM
So This is about the issue comenly experienced when using blender to vertex hack,( the one where the character is unchanged and planes spurt out for infinity).
I have pinpointed the problem and also why it works for some and not for others.

The problem is, When you convert the files into Objs(which is necessary in order to edit in blender) and back again the file is changed. Here's a picture, the top being before and the bottom being after.

That shows that clearly, the file is changed(Note, this is only anim8or, it wasn't edited in blender.)
Now, the reason it works for some is that earlier versions of anim8or seem to not cause this problem.
So, if anyone can provide a link to to an earlier version( you cant find them on the website) or else upload the file to mediafire, I'd be very greatfull.
Thanks!
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Psa and brawlbox issues(I dont know which it is) on: June 21, 2010, 01:05:00 AM
Ok, so I am currently making a PSA for ness, but I've decided that it needs hair to complete the image. So what I did was I used mr. wegee's amazing method of partial model swapping. What that is is you take the part you want to add to the character, you take one of the character you're adding the part to and you replace one of the custom graphic effects with that part. So, I took Isaac's hair, colored it black and put it over the last model in his PSA( which should be his PSY magnet) than, I took the psy magnet animation and added 1000 frames to it. Then, in PSA I took his waiting animation and added a code that is this:
External graphic effect: File B graphic C bone 2B size 1. I left the rest unchanged.
Then, when he was waiting in brawl, he had hair, but he also had little sparks and flashes and that all(including his hair) went away after he stopped waiting.
Is there any way to get rid of the flashes and sparks on his head and have the hair stay there after he's done waiting?
7  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / The Enslaved UPDATE V1.2 on: June 03, 2010, 01:03:49 PM
The Enslaved

Download link for V1.2:http://www.mediafire.com/file/z3zmmyzdhmy/The Enslaved Lucas V1.2.zip

Updates for V1.2
His side B has less momentum
His down B is a completely new move(scroll down for details)
His Up air is a new move
His up tilt is a new move
His side smash is a new move
his running move is a new move
His Final smash now has alot of damage and a nice rumbling sound

A slave to the darkness, Lucas has forsaken everything he ever loved for the lust of power

and darkness. It overwhelms him in this great new character.

(PSA, texture, and vertex hack.)
Also do note that this IS in fact my first moveset, and any suggestions or comments are welcome.

Moves:

A+A+A
Same move, different graphics.

Running A
lucas cartwheels at the opponent, causing decent knockback and little damage. Faster move than before.

Down A - "Sweep"
Dark energy appears on each of Lucas's hands as he ducks down and slahes out with each hand. hits
both sides, electricuting the foe.

Forward A
Same move, different graphics.

Up A
Lucas draws fire to his hands and moves them in a circle, knocking the foes upwards.

Down Smash - "Tomb"
Lucas raises the earth infront of him, dealing damage and knock back similair to Lucas's original
move.

Forward Smash - "Descent"
A ball of darkness in front of lucas falls quickly, dealing decent knockback and damage. Very fast move.

Up Smash - "Dark Spin"
Lucas flips through the air, drawing dark energy on his hands and feet. Decent knockback, better if
foe is closer to Lucas's body

Nuetral Air
Same move, different graphics.

Foward Air
Same move, different graphics.

Backward Air
Lucas backflips and releashes a small ball of energy. Stuns the foe

Up Air
Lucas kicks upwards, knocking foes straight up. quick, but slower to recover.

Down Air - "Explode"
Lucas does three kicks; the first two do nothing, but the third is an explosive spike that rockets the
foe downward. Spikes quite well.

Nuetral B - "Black Light"
Lucas draws energy twice and then fires a short range blast of light that has incredible knockback.

Hold B to charge, press B again to use.

Down B - "Black Star"
This move takes a long time to charge and only hits ground, but it deals an insane amount of damge.
I'm sorry, I couldnt get a pic, the graphics go by too fast.

Forward B - "Dark Blast"
Lucas fires a blast of darkness outward with decent range and good tripping.

Up B - "Dark Spiral"
Lucas spirals upwards, slaming foes with darkness. Decent knockback. This move only goes upward while

in the air, it also gathers momentum from the second jump.

Final Smash - "Dark Triumph"
Lucas draws the ground up and creates a massive pillar of darkness that sucks foes in and blasts them
to their doom.

I would like to thank three people for help on this project:
BeWop, for helping me come up with ideas
WeeGee, for answering alot of questions and helping me fix my problems
Theshyguy, for helping me with my up B move
Enjoy!

8  Help & Tutorials / Help / Bone changing through brawlbox on: April 04, 2010, 03:23:33 PM
Hello. This is my first time posting on this forum, and I appreciate whoever's taking the time to read this.
I'm rather new to the whole hacking thing, and only vaguely know about texture and bone hacking.
Anyways, Ive been working with brawlbox to tinker with link's (regular, not toon) bone structer. What I've been doing is trying to reconstruct the young link from the ocreina of time and majora's mask. I know that there is already a young link, but that is a younger version of regular link. I really appreciate whoever did that project, because it gave me something to work on, however pointless it is. Anyways, the only problem I am left with in my project is that I'm encountereng an error when I change the bone structer through brawlbox.
*note, I know all about the size change codes but those cant accomplish the task that I need for my project.
Whenever I use brawlbox to edit the bone size or location, It encounters a error which ruins the whole purpose of the edditing. For example, when I try to make link's legs shorter, part of the boot stretches down to the floor, causing a somewhat comedic look for his leg. I noticed while looking at the original young link that his legs were short yet wide, so when I use codes, it throws off my whole project. I thought that I would fix this problem by making the leg short but the boot big and then shrink the boot with codes, but sadly, when you increase the size of the bone through brawl box, It does nothing. Also, if I try to make his whole body slightly shorter, his hair would stretch and his figure would be disstorted. I tried moving the actual location of the bone, but once again, the texture get's stretched out..

I would really appreciate it if someone would tellme how tofix this problem. If i'm missing something or being really stupid, I apoligize.
