Loving the Pianta, and the lightsaber (p 194) looks amazing.

(concerning TFU2, see last page): Just saying, The Force Unleashed is considered canon; it's just that the second one has some loose ends yet to be resolved. My guess is that they're planning to do a third one to wrap it all up.
32  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: noob to hacking, help getting PSA to work? on: June 16, 2012, 08:14:08 PM
You mentioned you've gotten other hacks to work; have you gotten any working over Lucas in the past?
33  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: noob to hacking, help getting PSA to work? on: June 15, 2012, 06:33:58 PM
Make sure the file is named FitLucas.pac
Apart from that... I'm not quite sure what to say. It's not freezing, so my guess is it's a file location/naming problem.
34  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Issue with stage builder loading after installing gecko and codes and whatnot. on: June 15, 2012, 06:29:32 PM
go to private\wii\app\rsbe\ and rename the "st" folder. I recommend you rename it instead of deleting it, so that if you ever need to install homebrew on another wii, it's as easy as renaming the folder back to "st".
35  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: How do I download it wont let me on: June 13, 2012, 12:19:51 PM
If you plan to use Gecko OS, I'm pretty sure you need an SD card (last time I checked you did). Riivolution is different I believe.

Check this tutorial for some of the basics:
http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=12169.0
It explains the options for setting up channels and whatnot. Homebrew isn't needed if you use the Stage Editor exploit, but I'd reccomend Homebrew, since it's simpler and quicker to use.
36  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: SSBB -> Hacking ideas, possible? on: June 13, 2012, 12:03:46 PM
Ah,ok.
I dont  mean that i need the german css,i mean i need the CSS Customizer for german sc_selchar_de,cauz the only one, that i find, can just change _en
what do you mean by "CSS Customizer"? You should be able to use brawlbox to change CSS. Unless you're looking for a German version of Brawlbox?

Hi Cheesy

I started with cusomizing SSBB. I know the basics, replace character, stages, music etc.
Now,i have here some questions and i think, here's the best forum to find the right answer without long waiting x)
K,here are the ideas/quests:

-> Is it possible to "clone "an original character in the game,so i don't have to replace him for a custom char and let him disappear from the game?

-> Same with stages

Actually, what you're referring to is called character expansion. In short, the answer is no; at this point, only stages can have stage expansion, with extra slots that don't have to replace others.
Characters have to replace other character slots. However, most of the time, there are limitations with this. For example, a PSA (moveset) made for Mario will only work over a Mario slot, unless it is ported to another character (which is often glitchy or requires major modifications). The "Clone Engine" seeks to resolve this, and allow any moveset to replace another character's slot. The Clone Engine uses .rel files (or rel porting- completely different from normal, non-rel porting) to substitute some of the hardcoded files specific to each character. Stages also use rel files when you want to replace, for instance, Hyrule Temple with a Final Destination based stage.
For the moment, character rel files have been made for Marth and Ike, only. So pretty much, any moveset on either of those characters can replace any other character you desire (although, over some characters, codes must be added into the RSBE01.gct file to account for additional hardcoded attributes, such as the number of jabs in their A-A-A attack; otherwise, the rel ported moveset would have only two jabs instead of three).

as for your SFX question, I'm not an expert in the field, but Sawndz may offer something for that. Check the resources page on the Vault (above where the character category is).

Here's the link for the German CSS file (sc_selchar_de.pac)

I have heard that bump maps are possible, I'm just unsure how to go about doing it

I know CF has a specular map (BB, look at Cap_bodySpc). I'm not the most informed about texture maps and whatnot, but according to this article, bump maps can be converted to specular maps
http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to-create-specular-maps-from-bump-maps-3ds-max-8-196435/

edit:
I feel stupid. Specular maps don't change highlights when a light source is moved, do they?

Loving the Skyloft Hyrule Temple stage.

Have you and the other creators thought about releasing any non-Project:M alternate versions? It'd be neat to fight on the ground, or on Beetle's airshop.

@hawkeye
He said he copied the files from the rar; you have to extract the rar before you can open it. At least on my computer anyways.

-----------
I downloaded the No Heart one just to look at the file layout.

When you put it into your SD card, I assume you placed the FitGanon files and whatnot directly in the /ganon folder.
Since it's named FitGanon03, it replaces the blue costume. However, you have to manually insert the portrait into the common5 file if you want the modified picture to show up on the selection screen; however, without it, the hack should still work, it just won't have the modified portrait for the Character Selection Screen (CSS).
Did you place the files properly, and check the blue costume slot? If you did, and it's not working, I'm not really sure what the problem could be.

I believe it's private\wii\app\RSBE\st

has any one tried to make this yet?

Yes (unsuccessfully); the Clone Engine is one such project that's being worked on to do this.
http://opensa.dantarion.com/wiki/Clone_Engine
In the meantime, we still haven't perfected .rel porting, which would allow any character to replace any existing character (at the moment, Marth and Ike can replace just about anyone else, but you can't, for example, have a second Mario that replaces Link, and so on. "Porting" (traditional porting, not .rel porting) is possible, but often the movesets need to be changed slightly, and will still end up glitchy, so they're less preferred than .rel porting).

[...]
They're actually smaller... Mario Facepalm

they seem bigger cause I made them more like the suggested shape...and pushed the stomach back just a little bit, same for the top chest. The torso itself is also a little thinner, more feminine.
[...]
Well, they should still be somewhat smaller. Zelda is (for the lack of a better word) flat in comparison to your stereotypical anatomical female model. Just use the transform tool in 3ds max and shrink it backwards in the same dimension Zelda's facing.

Question: is Zelda's hair rigged over Links' hat?
44  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Model Imports / Re: WIP Workshop on: May 07, 2012, 07:54:46 PM

only need a face... i may end up using marth's face but idk...
btw, he is over link and has a moveset written...

Looks really neat. I like the futuristic look.
Maybe add an emblem or symbol of some sort on one of his sleeves, or on his chest? It could be subtle- it doesn't have to be a bright blue color.
I'd also consider some sort of notch on the end of the gun, that the gunner would use for aiming purposes.

edit: I noticed your second picture with several more details on the chest; the emblem idea may or may not be necessary in that case.

As for the dagger, I might change the form of it a bit; it looks too similar to the master sword. Maybe make it asymmetrical (or otherwise change the shape of the blade)?

For the face, I suggest a mysterious dude in sunglasses, with dark hair. For a more futuristic look, he could have some advanced visor/eyegear (but I'd still make it completely cover up his eyes).

Consider changing the boots so he doesn't look so much like Marth. Maybe add knee guards that stretch upwards a bit? They'd point out when his knee is bent, which might look cool.

Finally, I should tell you that his waist (I'm assuming from Marth) still looks rather feminine. If you bulk him up with a belt, small backpack/ other item on his back/waist, or just make his waist more masculine in form, then he'd probably look better.
45  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: How do you feel about importing? on: May 05, 2012, 01:00:25 PM
Well said Spex.

Pretty much, I have the same opinion; importing is awesome, and a great technological improvement, but I'd really like to see it used for original creations rather than taking things directly from other games.
In some sense, importing has redirected a lot of focus elsewhere from just character hacks. Since less time is spent making characters appear to match those of other franchises, PSAs, animating, and other things have picked up slightly (although I suppose they were already becoming more popular before importing).
Hopefully though, importing makes it easier for the newcomer to start making new content. In particular, I've personally been making some slow progress on stage design, which would have been unimaginably limited had I needed to edit models specifically from Brawl, versus making them from scratch.

I guess when you look at it, the majority of stuff on the Vault before vertexing wasn't exactly original anyways. Sure, models still had to be edited and made to match content from a certain franchise, but they was still unoriginal in the sense that most people don't come up with their own characters (or different interpretations of pre-made characters); they'd just make Cloud, Shadow or whoever else out of the original cast. (But don't get me wrong, I don't believe all of those Sonic fan characters are that original either).
