91  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: SDo0m's Dark Void: Kid Buu moveset in Progress! on: September 19, 2011, 08:00:49 PM
I love how he sort of gallops in his dash (or is it his walk?) animation. It gives him personality. The backwards first jump is really good too, and his heavy landing animation is great how he spreads out on the ground.
His down aerial is very promising too; the squashing motion as he hits the ground is very comical.

Despite not knowing much about DBZ I'm definitely trying this moveset out. I'm glad to see that you're back and enjoying your own choice of projects.

Question: for the class tomorrow, it says you only need to show up. Does this mean we will need to be able to access 3dsmax and all the other programs? I'm at my dad's whose computer is extremely slow with such programs, so if I need to go to my mom's/need 3dsmax or other CPU usage heavy programs, I'd like to know.

Wow... this has really expanded into something amazing. I remember when all that people did was make recolors of characters, but now it's imports and everything else.

I'd love to see more Zelda characters. I was surprised that LoZ:TP Link or Brawl Link have not been made yet.
It'd also be fun to play as Yeto (Yeti chef dude from LoZTP). =)

Anyways, I might try this out sometime. My brother has my copy of MKWii at college though.

95  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Any costume on teams code? on: September 12, 2011, 09:10:41 PM
team battles use the red green and blue texture for every character.
Yes, normally they do. He's asking if there's a code that disables this, and allows you to select any texture.
Personally, I have not seen such a code. I'd certainly be interested if there was one.

well, I don't know if it'll fix the problem, but replacing the victory/ animation is simple.

Open up the FitCaptain00.pcs for Goku, open up the tabs for ModelData[0] and you should see a gray icon for FitCaptain00. Right click, "preview", scroll down to zoom out. On the right tab of the model viewer, there should be a "load" button. Click, find the FitCaptainMotionEtc.pac for Goku, and open it. All of his animations are now listed on the right tab; scroll towards the bottom of the list and you should find the victory taunt and losing pose, which you can click on and preview by hitting "play" on the bottom tab.

Open up another Brawlbox, and open a FitCaptain0X.pcs (doesn't matter if it's Goku or not) and load the original FitMotionEtc for Captain Falcon. If you don't have it, go to the resources page in Brawlvault, find the ISO and go through the folders (fighter/captain) and you should find the original file.

Anyways, once you load the original MotionEtc, find those same animations from earlier by scrolling through the list. Right click, "export", and save it somewhere temporarily. Do this for every animation you want to revert to the original.

Now, go back to the model viewer for Goku's motionetc, right click on the animation name, "replace", and load the exported files (captain falcon's original animations) in place of Goku's. Finally, you can save, close the model viewer, and "save as" the MotionEtc.pac. And you're done.

Feel free to ask any questions if this is still too confusing.
97  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: ForOhFor's Stages [Aperture Science working in brawlbox! 9/9/11] on: September 12, 2011, 08:18:22 PM
you should make the stairs, in collisions, just a ramp. It would make navigating the stage easier. If you wanted, you could do a series of ramps and flat platforms; at the corner of each stair step turn it into a ramp, but leave the rest flat/as is.

Sorry, I forgot that you're replacing one of Pikachu's models with the home run bat. Are any more models able to be replaced within the fitpikachu.pac, or is it limited to just that?

Melee Sword for what?
He's asking to make a recolor of the beam sword, so that it's purple, like in Melee.

About the soccer ball (football) move; why not just put the item in his "hand" (invisible) and use that to animate him doing a move? He doesn't have to throw items for every item based move he has.

Maybe he swings a CD at you for one of his smash attacks?

Also, will he have a crawl? It'd be hilarious if he dropped to the floor and could just roll around.

Probably one of the hardest things to make will be the visual cues for his attacks. He doesn't have many (visible) bones to animate, so it'll take some creativity to make charging/startup animations that are distinguishable from each other.

Anyways, this project looks promising and I look forward to it.

Screen name: Mariofan1138
Current skill level: 2/10 I've done vertexing, but upon export/patching I've failed miserably.
Age: 17

I have all the supplies, but I use Photoshop instead of Gimp; I assume there won't be any problems.

103  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: DasDonkey Team - Akari_Un's Section - Captain Fox is Out! on: September 06, 2011, 07:56:32 PM
Looks great!
It's good to see the DasDonkey Team again.

Holy [censored], Captain Falcon Fox! Awesome! It reminds me of the days when Dhragen would make Captain Falcon versions of characters. *Sniff* I miss that guy. :'(
Yeah, my thoughts too. Sooner or later we'll just have a "Captain Falcon Brawl" or something.
104  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Moderation [Appreciations, suggestions, reports] on: September 04, 2011, 09:02:13 PM
Could censorship be made more customized perhaps? Like, you can have a custom list of words that are blocked, or at least a checkbox with the currently censored words, that could be toggled on and off.
Hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to program. Fortunately it's not like adding a new section to the Brawlvault or anything.

I'd definitely be interested to see some original stage designs however.
