61  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Classic Expansion Pack 2.0 on: February 28, 2011, 12:10:31 AM
What should one look for when switching around sss icons? I see that many icons have smaller resolutions, but should there be a specific format such as jpg rather than png? I tried switching that names and icons with my own (making sure to replicate the smaller resolution), but now everything says battlefield. >.>
I made sure to have an identical sc_selmap.pac in /menu2.

Everything is great nonetheless, good job : )
62  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Finding brstms on: February 24, 2011, 04:41:27 PM
Hello,

I notice that with the popularity of this website, it is often quite hard to find songs. With so many pages, one really has to know what they are looking for. I would like to suggest that more categories are available for uploaders to choose from, rather than the three we have now ( which does work fairly well for characters say, because there are not as many).

Anyways, I am trying to find as many joke songs as possible. So far I have:

Kirby-falcon-punch

Ganon singing the pokemon battle theme

Haddaway's what is love

and some michael jackson songs

Does anyone know of more comedic musical pieces? The only restriction I have is they not be anime or something of the same bubbly form.

Many thanks,
Just looking for suggestions.

Hey man Yoshi's crystal cave is fantastic.

Wonderful, I will have pictures as soon as I get some good lighting levels.

This is the reference in case anyone is wondering.

0:44 is actually what I use for the large stage picture (hopefully to be included once this is done eventually).

Lighting is located in scene data correct? B1-3? How does one edit those numbers? I can highlight them, but brawlbox won't let me change them. I realize that the stage can only look fantastic if it is truly dark.

heh what a nostalgia trip; I enjoyed that boss fight a great deal.

So far I changed two textures, so I can not really say I have made something that is distinct from Akiro and Flamegoops work.

For the sound effects I will look into editing the STDT values, as that is the rage right now with stages. In the meantime, does anyone know the formula for "night time" textures? One can see them all the time, and I can only guess that they:

1) Lower saturation and/or brightness

2) change the lighting

3) supply a night sky... ( well hopefully I am right in thinking that that is obvious.

I can do 1 and 3, but I have no clue how to change lighting. I don't think I will need to, but I may come back asking for help on the matter.

The bats replaced the shy-guys well, but being 2d, they still stick out.
67  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / A horrible night to brawl on Yoshi's Island on: January 27, 2011, 04:11:21 PM
I'm going to make a castlevania II styled texture over Yoshi's Island. I'm thinking of using Akiro's lost woods as a base, as it has the forest as well as stones for platforms. For shy guys I would rip some bats from the castlevania sprite page, but would go for more realistic bats if need be.

I want some ideas though, so your input will be valued. What should replace the shyguy spawners? (ghosts who lift the platforms).

Also, there are several stages with their hazards being removed. This is due to a recent discovery in the STDT section using Brawlbox. My question is, will sound effects be able to tweaked? To make a darker setting for Yoshi's Island would be useless if the jingle that signals the switching of the seasons (simply day and night in this case) rang here and there.

Lastly, any ideas for details would be nice as I am not all knowing when it comes to castlevania. I simply like playing the series' songs.

Thanks

I changed the values in "translation," but besides that I am not aware of what altering can be done.
69  Help & Tutorials / Help / TopN and model moving on: December 26, 2010, 12:52:56 AM
Is it possible to move and resize models in individual ways if they in the same model data tree?

For example, I am currently trying to edit Norfair. All five platforms are located in the same place, so are they all connected? will shrinking one mean having to make a proportional change to others?

Thank you

Use the stomp from Metroid prime 1: trilogy. either down smash or whatevs.

Seriously though, sounds cool so far. Is there much of a change in damage/speed/gameplay? also what version of brawl is this designed for?

Hey, I saw that SJS made a csp of your dark suit, but with the varia suit shoulders. Does this model exist? I know that you are making the Other M varia suit, but in the mean time, it would be fun to re-texture what already exists... if it does indeed exist.

You aren't abandoning the Other M varia suit are you?
