This is really starting to piss me off. I'm working on an Ivysaur texture, but whenever I switch into it from Squirtle, the game freezes. However, if Ivysaur is sent out at the start of a match, it works just fine. I haven't touched the model itself, and I made sure that its leaves are indexed. I have no idea what I did to cause this problem...
Have you read Miacis' Vertex Thread/Guide? You can only use 3DS Max 8 and 3DS Max 9.
That's what I thought, but I remember hearing that some people use either 2010 or 2011, and it worked. I don't remember who, though... I was just looking for some clarification. Thanks for the friendly response.
EDIT: "have you tried doing vertex with 3dsmax 2010? you need to download the collada max plugin, maybe it will say that doesnt work with 2010 so move the plugin to the plugins folder in 3dsmax 2010"
^ Vous voyez? Someone told me that I could do this. Hence, I was wondering if 2011 was also compatible.
I just made an amazing discovery recently; that you can get 3DS Max as a student for non-commercial, non-profit use with a 3-year license. I find this amazing, for I can at last try vertex hacks. However, I have some questions for those of you who already have 3DS Max.
1) Is BBox compatible with 3DS 2011?
2) Which version is BBox-friendly: Autodesk 3DS Max, or Autodesk 3DS Max Design? (In fact, what's the difference?)
3) After the 3 years are over, can I renew the license for as long as I'm a student?
Mewtwo is Spanish xP But hey, I'm brazilian and I could understand what you wrote. xD
Whoops, it was BSZ that was French XD But the birthday wish still stands!
While I'm here, I haz question. I'm adding the Stage Expansion Pack, and I already have all the necessary codes. So, all I have to do is put the stages in the "melee" folder, and the .rels in the "Module" folder, right?
u can edit size through bone editing... not through material
] Wow, there are a lot of alternative model editing methods of which I'm unaware. This kind of info should really be OP'd or something. Perhaps a new thread w/ tuts for those w/o 3DS...
One wouldn't also be able to change the polygons' sizes by Materials editing, would they? I'm trying to see how much more I can edit things w/o the aid of bloody 3DS...
its not vertexing, in BB, u go to materials1 (inside the modeldata) search for the shield, and at the right, where it says type, it will have a 2, change it to 3 and voila, itl be invisible INGAME, in brawlbox u will still see it...
Is it so simple to make materials/body parts invisible on any character?
