Anyways, I have had this issue in the past. I believe that happened when I did the CSS Installation incorrectly. Is it possible that you could have accidentally deleted/overwritten the CSS Portraits/Icons of Mewtwo or Roy? That could very well be the case.
Either way, I'll take a look at your set up once I get the chance. I'll let you know after I check it out.
Oh... and thanks for supporting Project M D.I.Y. in your signature. It means a lot!
It must be a pain to go through all that code to update, though. It seems like the PM team doesn't want their game to be modified, but that'd be a little strange since they've been doing the same thing this whole time. In the name of balance, I guess.
I know. I feel kinda bad having other people work on the codes for me. I wish I could do it myself, but I lack so much skill in the code department that it would be a waste of time for me to even try. I appreciate all the help I'm given, but I can't help but feel bad for it. It's just the kind of person I am I guess.
Anyways, I'm glad you enjoy PM DIY and welcome to the forums!
By that you mean that it would desync wi-fi, right, not disable the connection? Because if it desyncs, that means that peope can use the same BrawlEx pack for online play with friends and/or tournaments.
Well, I'm not sure, to be honest. I have never tested WI-FI on Project M DIY. I read somewhere that BrawlEx was not compatible with WI-FI, so I never tested.
You can give it a shot if you want, I'm just not sure it will work. Sorry I don't have the answer your looking for.
Does this actually use all of the Project M files, and make it compatible with BrawlEx? Because I was hoping for a way to make BrawlEx be able to have wi-fi(Since Nintendo shut down their wi-fi thing, and I know Project M has its own)
Yes. It does work with all the Project M files. However, due to the fact that BrawlEx does NOT work online, playing online will most likely to result in a crash.
One of my goals is to make this WI-FI compatible, but I'm pretty sure that isn't in my control
(By the way, the "WI-FI thing" they use is called Wiimmfi. Thought you might want to know)
I always try to be as polite as possible on the forums. In fact, anywhere in public.
I'm not sure why some people act so snobby and stuck-up around here. I mean, not everyone is like that, but I've definitely have seen a few.
It's kinda sad, to be honest. It has been only recently that I have gotten into hacking and I know quite a few others who have as well.
I'm sure the community will be back to it's hay days when they make SmashWiiU hacks a thing. Unfortunately, it'll probably be a year or two until then...
Woah woah woah! I know this place is called Kitty Corp! I was referring about the Brawl Vault, the site's hack repository. I guess I should have worded it differently...
It stands for "Do It Yourself" because with Project M DIY, you can customize it to be just how you want it. Instead of using a pre-made pack such as ProjectEx, you can do it yourself. Thus, the name.
And of course, thank you for the new logo! I will use it ASAP
hmm... can you private mesage me the GCT. I have a dolphin setup, and also can test it out on my wii.
Guys, please. I have already tested out the GCT. I don't need all you people doing it as well. Look, I know you guys want the update to be out already and I appreciate your help but I don't need all you guys trying to do my job. Please, leave us be. We will get the update out soon.
I have not. GCT codes are not my department. Sirkura kindly volunteered to create GCT codes for the new update.
Also, I feel the need to explain that making Project M work with BrawlEx isn't as simple as changing the GCT code and adding BrawlEx files. You need to 1. Make all the costumes work with BrawlEx 2. Change Mewtwo and Roy into BrawlEx clones 3. Re-arrange the slots on the roster. ect.
Well, I'm glad your at least trying to help... (Yourself, anyways xD )
I don't think she meant for you to try it. I think she meant that she was going to try and modify the codes to work with the Wifi version because she thought that might work better.
I love this mod! It's so awesome to play as Mega Man, Dark Samus, and soon Bagan's Ridley! Also, how are the codes coming along? I saw you were having trouble so I tested them out myself using the hackless pm launcher, and got one black screen and one Exception DSI. I was using Brawlex v2, is that wrong? Anyway, hope you can figure out the codes!
Thank you for your support! And I do appreciate you trying to get the codes to work, but I recommend you don't. We have this whole thing under control.
Hey, I was wondering if I can help out with this mod. I learned modding this game very quickly, so even when it says I'm new, I'm very experienced, and would be a great help to do so.
That depends... what ARE your skills? We do need a bit of help on the GCT, so if you're skilled in the GCT department and are willing to help, that would be great! But other than that we perfectly fine.
Uh, i'm sorry but this does NOT work on wii, and i'm pretty pissed about it. I was trying to make a custom brawl hack pack for wii that is a brawlex hack. I did not want to do this on dolphin because it is slow and laggy on my computer. Why would anyone create a brawlex pack for dolphin?!
1. (I know from experience) It does work on a Wii, you just can't launch normally. You have to use the File Patch code on GeckoOS.
2. You need a good computer to play Brawl on your PC without lag.
3. You quoted the whole topic. (-‸ლ)
4. Don't act like an [censored]. No one will want to help you.
How can i add a specific number of costume slots? Trying to port over Project M costumes onto my non-P build and they have more slots than normal Brawl, but not every char has 10 so no cBliss.
That depends... are you using BrawlEx? If you are, I might be able to help...
I hope everything works out in the end D: You can do itttt!!
Aww... Thanks! I could use a little motivation! On another note (even though I'm not yet able to test it) I got all of the alternative costumes working with BrawlEx. I took a few hours of my life, but I finally did it. If only Project M 3.5 wasn't so dang hard to update to then PM DIY 2.0 would be out already! But I digress...
