I'm trying to put stuff into my brawl ISO, which I know how to do. I also know about Brawl's Dual-layered needs.
What I need to know is how to shrink the ISO to have it fit on a single layer disc. I have heard of totally removing the Single player modes to make it smaller, but I'm not sure.
If anyone could tell me which partitions and parts of partitions I need to get rid of to have only Versus mode work, and therefore making it small enough for a single layer disc, that would be great.
I haven't been able to touch the PSA for a long time due to super business, but now that Mariokart is working on it again, I'll try to finish as fast as possible!
Although I still can't test ;P
And I think there is still a lot of interest in this project, but that problem sounds really problematic... >.>
And I have no idea what you mean by "Brawlbox it" D:
By 'brawlbox it' I mean open sonic or whoever's file I said in brawlbox and switch it around with the attack you need to. Unless of course you don't use brawlbox...I'm sorry for any stupid ideas i may have contributed. I'm not great a PSAing but i do try to be of some assistance.
I know I'm really late to the idea of the Down B with the Ruin attack, but couldn't you take the effect of Sonic's normal B and make it so the attack itself locks on to opponents instead of the character? Or is this hardcoded or something...
I honestly am starting to find lots of freedom when it comes to PSA's and a lack of limitations now so I think this might be possible, but I could be completely wrong.
Unfortunately, you can't do that...
Possibly brawlbox it? Switch sonic's normal B with the down B? Just a suggestion. Totally ignore me if it's worthless.
I can think up another move, that you could possibly use, although its not an actual attack or anything from the game. But I had an idea for a slow moving attack (about as long as warlock punch maybe) that will stagger (sheild stun) the opponent if it connects, but deals no damage. No idea of what animation could be used for it though.
That would actually be quite awesome. An instant shield breaker would go nicely in Lightning's moveset. (I love staggering enemies, it's funny)
But where would we put it? All of her specials are taken up by magic (I think), so if this move were taken into consideration, it might have to be a smash? Possibly a fully charged Forward smash?
On the ground, she'll throw a small white ball and once it hits the enemy, they'll be juggled in the air a little bit, and then if they can't get out of the way, large explosion!
What about in the air? It can't be the same because the hitbox would fall with Lightning...
And yeah, I know you were kidding about Odin
What does Zantetsuken look like? Army of One shouldn't be too hard to make, but it's always nice to have a backup!
I was thinking that you could do with Ruin/ Ruinga what the original plans for Fire/ Fira were. Press the button once and launch a small ball. Charge it to launch a more powerful attack. Think Samus' B attack.
Then in the air, you could have Ruin (The smaller one) fired down at the ground at the angle that Sheik throws her needles? But at the rate of Mario's fireballs?
And about Army of One...
Army of One is Lightning's Signature move (every FFXIII character has one) gained near the end of Stage 9 in the Crystarium.
Great idea. Sumire, you should probably consider that a contingency FS huh? That can't be too hard to make can it? I might just take a stab at it myself. My knowledge of PSA isn't THAT good, but it doesn't sound too hard.
And can you elaborate more in Ruinga? I can definitely do a wide radius and quick startup. Really, I can do almost everything besides homing and Odin, I think... just don't go crazy.
Sure. Ruinga is the bigger version of ruin, with a few more tweaks. Ruin is just a small ball of randomly alternating black-to-white energy with a really long trail of that energy. It has a very small explosive impact, (sort of like throwing a regular capsule at someone) and deals physical magic damage, instead of elemental, like fire, for example.
Ruinga is that, but the ball is bigger, and it deals a massive explosion on impact, dealing AoE damage to surrounding enemies and it is big enough to cover at least a third Final Destination. So like the smart bomb, but an instant expand, and a tiny bit smaller. (Did I elaborate enough for ya? I completed FFXIII, so I know my stuff XD...but you may have already known what ruinga does...)
Naw, I'm just kidding, that would be impossible to do.
Hmm...maybe you could have Army of One as her Final Smash, and make it look something similar to Link's Final Smash, but with a few kicks and gunshots thrown in for good measure?
For future reference, any PAC file that's compressed or has compressed contents has to use less memory than its unedited counterpart. Otherwise, you'll get game crashes.
Oooh, this could be what is wrong with my game. How do you make it use less memory than the original? Would that involve taking things out of the file while using PSA or something like that?
